Abstract: A door closer for doors, particularly glass doors, which are supported by a stationary support structure (S) and are movable between an open door position and a closed door position. The door closer comprises a box-like body (10) and a pin (20) reciprocally rotatably coupled to rotate around a first axis (x) between the open door position and the closed door position. Closing means are provided (30) to automatically return the door, as well as a braking means (40) acting thereon to counteract their action. First and second cam elements (31, 41) unitary with the pin (20) and interposed between a first and second plunger elements (32, 42) are provided.

Abstract: A movement assist device includes a retraction tool having a case, a latch switched between a standby position which is locked inside the case and a retraction position which releases the locking so as to be capable of sliding, and an urging device; and a striker switching the latch from the standby position to the retraction position, or vise versa. The retraction tool or the striker is provided in a fixed body, or a moving body movably disposed in the fixed body. When the latch is switched from the standby position to the retraction position, a sliding door moves by an urging force. The case includes a striker leading portion notched such that a width of the case becomes thin to a middle of the other end from one end in a longitudinal direction. Also, one portion of the latch is exposed and disposed in the leading portion.

Abstract: A door closer has a housing for connection to a door and a drive spindle (10) coupled to the door. As the door moves the spindle (10) and housing (11) rotate relative to one another. The relative movement is translated by a piston and cam mechanism (21, 22) into a force that is used to separate a pair of magnets (28). The magnetic attraction of the magnet pairs (28) serves as a force to resist opening of the door and biases the door from an open to a closed position. At least one first magnet is coupled to the drive member and at least one second magnet (32) coupled to the housing. The magnets are arranged in the housing with their opposite poles facing one another such that there is a magnetic force of attraction between them. At least one further biasing spring (36) may be provided to provide a biasing force after the magnetic force has diminished by separation of the magnets.

Abstract: The present invention is a door closer for controlling the rate a door is closed. The door closer includes a tubular cylinder closed at a first end. Slidably mounted within the tubular housing is a rod assembly that includes a piston at a first end. As the rod assembly is moved through the cylinder, air is drawn into and expelled from the cylinder. A hold open bracket is mounted on the rod assembly for locking the position of the rod assembly with respect to the cylinder. A pair of springs is mounted on the rod, one on each side of the hold open bracket, to maintain the hold open bracket in a neutral position in normal operation. A cover is slidably mounted over the second end of the cylinder to move the hold open bracket to a locked position.

  • Patent number: 8307496
Abstract: The present invention relates to a door closer comprising a cylinder body and a telescopic rod, wherein a one-way air intake valve is provided in the cylinder body to take in air in one way in an internal cavity of the cylinder body when the door is opened. The internal cavity of the cylinder body is divided into two automatically pressurizeable and automatically compensatable air cavities. When the door is opened or closed, the air inside the internal cavity of the cylinder body flows cyclically in the two air cavities. The door closer ensures air substantially flows cyclically in a cylinder body, reduces pollution caused by dusts in air into and out of the cylinder body to the lubricant oil in the cylinder wall, guarantees the lubricating effect of the lubricant oil, enables the door closer to operate normally and effectively prolong the service life of the door closer.

The weight compensation system includes a weight-compensation device comprising a cable unit and a spring unit arranged at least on one side of the door leaf, wherein the cable unit comprises a single cable.
