Abstract: A breakaway awning includes an awning moveable between an open position and a closed position and having a lead rail attached to a leading edge of the awning. A pair of tracks mountable on opposite sides of a window are provided with longitudinal slots therein. Track guides are slidably disposed within a corresponding slot and awning guides are fixed to opposite ends of the lead rail. Track guide fittings and awning guide fittings engagable with one another enable both longitudinal movement of the lead rail along the tracks and transverse separation of the lead rail and awning guides from the track guides and track upon the application of force thereto thus facilitating egress from the underline window.

Abstract: A non-pull cord operable Venetian blind includes a retaining device located at each end of a lower beam of a Venetian blind therein in working with a retaining cord. The retaining device is made up of a holding sleeve, a driven member adapted at the holding sleeve therein, a limiting spring joined to one side of the driven member with a pair of left and right stop legs protruding at a limiting hole of the holding sleeve, a rotary member to activate the driven member therewith, and an outer cap applied at the outer side of the holding sleeve. The retaining cord is wound through alternative left and right blades of the rotary member and clamped by abutting ribs of the holding sleeve before led straight downwards to be securely located at a windowsill at the bottom end thereof.

Abstract: The apparatus relates, according to a first aspect, to an edge guiding arrangement, for a door having a plurality of mutually rotatable panels (2) which are extended between and movable along two elongate guides (4) at opposite edge portions (8) of the panels (2). The edge guiding arrangement comprises such a guide (4), a guide device (16) engaging and being movable along the guide (4), and a joint between the guide device (16) and an edge portion of a panel (2). The edge guiding arrangement is characterised in that the guide device (16) is rotatable relative to the guide (4) in a plane (P) perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the guide (4), and that the joint between the guide device (16) and the panel (2) is resiliently flexible in said plane (P).

Abstract: A rolling window screen assembly is provided for a window frame having a sill, a head and opposite side jambs. The screen assembly comprises a screen mounted at the head of the window frame and being unrollable along the jambs thereof. A pair of guide members are mounted on and extend along each side jamb for guiding the opposite edges of the screen as the screen is unrolled along the jambs. Control levers adjacent each side edge of the screen frictionally engage the guide members so as to control the position of the screen along the guide members. The guide members are mounted to the window frame jambs by a plurality of L-shaped clips which extend through a corresponding slot in the respective guide members. A spring is positioned in each guide member for centering the unrolled screen between the pair of guide members.
