Abstract: A system and method that improves the interconnection between a pool cover and a storage reel so that the pool cover can more readily be wound on the storage reel in an even manner. The system includes at least one rigid plate that is attached to an edge of the pool cover. The rigid plate can be either manufactured into the structure of the pool cover or retroactively added to the edge of the pool cover. A mechanical fastening system is provided that enables the rigid plates at the edge of the pool cover to be attached to the storage reel so that the edge of the pool cover is held parallel to the axis of rotation for the storage reel. In this manner, the edge of the pool cover is automatically aligned with the storage reel by attaching the rigid plate to the storage reel.
Abstract: An awning structure having two vertical support members, one attached to each end of a horizontal bar; two horizontal projection bars, one attached to the bottom end of each of the supports; two rafter bars each attached to one of the projection bars and the header bar; and a front bar which is attached to the rafter bars. A fabric cover is removably attached to the header bar by a rope track extruding from the header bar. The fabric cover is removably attached to the front bar and projection bars by a plurality of velcro strips.
Abstract: A security screen assembly comprising a sub-frame mounted within an opening in a building and a hinged main frame which has a screened opening. Keys are provided at each corner of each frame to maintain the frame members in a predetermined angular relationship. The hinge is designed to permit assembly and disassembly of the hinged parts by a movement through an open side of one of the hinge parts. The screen is marginally held within the opening in the pivoted frame by screws extending through the margin of the screen which self-tap into a slot in the frame members, and ribs and slots on the main frame and sub-frame are provided to prevent warping of the parts in the closed position.
