Patent number: 9360096Abstract: A ball screw with support devices includes a nut base having two sides equipped with the support devices for preventing the screw from deflection. Two runner structures are provided near two ends of the screw. The runner structure includes a driving wheel and a driven wheel having different diameters and concentrically installed. The nut base is connected to the driving wheel via an active connecting element for driving the driving wheel to rotate. The driven wheel moves with the driving wheel and is connected to the support devices via passive connecting elements so that the support devices and the nut displace synchronously. By controlling a diameter ratio between the driving and driven wheels, the nut and the support devices displace with proportional speeds, thereby allowing the support devices to always stay at the two sides of the nut as designed and provide reliable support.Type: GrantFiled: November 28, 2014Date of Patent: June 7, 2016Assignee: HIWIN TECHNOLOGIES CORP.Inventors: Ying-Ju Lin, Hung-Chih Hsu

Patent number: 6189592Abstract: A roll-up shade is doubled and its ends suspended from a head rail that is mounted above a window. One end is attached to a roller tube and the other end is attached to a stationary tube, with a bight being formed between the tubes. A first sheet is defined from the bight to the roller tube and a second sheet is defined from the bight to the stationary tube. A weighty rod is positioned in the bight to cause the bight to sag away from the head rail, and a shade guide surrounds the rod to guide the shade. With this structure, the roller tube can be rotated to pull up the first sheet and raise the bight or to lower the first sheet with bight, with the second sheet (i.e., the sheet that is directly attached to the stationary tube) remaining unmoving above the bight. The shade is patterned such that when the shade is raised and lowered, the relative motion between the two sheets causes the shade to alternatingly assume high and low opacity configurations. The roller tube can be motorized if desired.Type: GrantFiled: October 18, 1999Date of Patent: February 20, 2001Assignee: Harmonic Design, Inc.Inventor: Douglas R. Domel

The top of the curtain is rigidly affixed across the top of the opening. The bottom of the curtain is upturned and connected to a driven take up roller mounted atop the opening. An elongated rod is supported within the upturned end of the curtain with its ends captured within the channels on each side of the opening. A weighting rod is supported atop the elongated rod and separated therefrom by the upturned end of the curtain, with the ends of the weighting rod also captured in the lateral channels.Type: GrantFiled: November 13, 1995Date of Patent: October 22, 1996Inventors: Grant W. Patent number: 5392549Abstract: A device in combination with a driving station of a vehicle for displaying and storing a flexible web containing information wound in two cylinder members that provide sufficient slag in the web to form a loop that holds a weighting member. The weighting member is pulled away from the first two cylinders either by gravity or spring action and the web is exposed by turning at least one of the two cylinder members. The two cylinder members an be manually or electrically actuated. A user thereby views a specific area of the map or information contained in the web. An electric bulb is provided to illuminate the web from inside the loop.Type: GrantFiled: December 13, 1993Date of Patent: February 28, 1995Inventor: Jose L. Castro

Patent number: 5319990Abstract: A linear drive system with an associated cover system wherein said linear drive system comprises a load, a lead screw, a lead nut operatively engaged to said lead screw such that said lead nut can travel along said lead screw by virtue of rotation of the lead nut, a load engaging structure means connecting the lead nut to the load such that as the lead nut travels along the lead screw, the load is moved, and motor means operatively engaged with the lead nut such that said motor means operates to rotate the lead nut, thereby moving the load.A cover system an opening formed by two surfaces. Said cover system has a bridge structure, which can be a roller assembly, which is supported by structural means over and across the width of the opening. A band is positioned to cover the opening and is also mounted over the bridge structure. As the bridge structure is moved along the opening, the band is lifted from the opening, thereby allowing access to the opening by a device.Type: GrantFiled: March 11, 1992Date of Patent: June 14, 1994Assignee: California Technical Marketing Inc.Inventors: John R. Patent number: 5168647Abstract: A device for displaying and storing a flexible web containing information wound in two cylinder members that provide sufficient slag in the web to form a loop that holds a third cylinder member. The third cylinder member is pulled away from the first two either by gravity or spring action and the web is exposed by turning at least one of the first two cylinder members. The two cylinder members can be manually or electrically actuated. A user thereby views a specific area of the map or information contained in the web. An electric bulb is provided to illuminate the web from inside the loop created by the web.Type: GrantFiled: May 30, 1991Date of Patent: December 8, 1992Inventor: Jose L. Castro

Patent number: 5052459Abstract: A divided flexible covering (1,2)serves to expose any desired region of a surface or opening while masking the other regions. Two gripping slats (3,10) are located respectively at the beginning of a length of fabric (1 or 2) or at the beginning and end of at least one or two strips (4 or 8), each of which is guided endlessly over four rollers (5,9) or sliding blocks (47). Each length of fabric (1 or 2) is provided with an end piece (7 or 12). The length of the lengths of fabric (1 or 2) is approximately half that of the strips (4 or 8). The end pieces (7, 12) are mutually offset and are provided with a slot (14a) or are attached to a rod (43) provided for the other length of fabric, so that when a covering part (1), for example, is pulled down over the center of the cupboard, the covering part (2) is pulled simultaneously because one end piece (7) entrains another end piece (12) upward in the direction of traction. The operations are indentical in the opposite directions.Type: GrantFiled: December 20, 1989Date of Patent: October 1, 1991Inventor: Marco G. Grossenbacher

Patent number: 4365764Abstract: A fiber bale opener includes a truck arranged for back-and-forth displacement along a travelling path, an opening mechanism carried by the truck and arranged for removing fiber from the top of fiber bales positioned along the travelling path and a suction apparatus for carrying away, by an air stream, fiber removed from the bales by the opening mechanism. The suction apparatus includes a suction duct extending in the direction of the travelling path and a throughgoing slot on one side of the duct, extending parallel to the travelling path. The suction apparatus further has a flexible cover belt which extends over the slot for sealing the inside of the duct from the environment and which defines an interstice within the truck. The interstice travels with the truck and provides a passage for the fiber from the opening mechanism to the inside of the suction duct.Type: GrantFiled: August 29, 1980Date of Patent: December 28, 1982Assignee: Trutzschler GmbH & Co.
