By Fluid Actuated Vibrator Means Patents (Class 164/206)
  • Patent number: 10647347
Abstract: A self-setting valve assembly for a power steering gear assembly includes a plug, a first plunger, a second plunger, and a biasing member. The plug extends between a first end and a second end. The plug defines a cavity that is disposed between the first end and the second end, a first bore that extends from the first end to the cavity, and a second bore that extends from the second end to the cavity. The first plunger has a first head that is disposed within the cavity and a first stem that extends from the first head through the first bore. The second plunger has a second head that is disposed within the cavity and a second stem that extends from the first head through the second bore. The biasing member is disposed within the bore and extending between the first head and the second head.

  • Patent number: 4582113
Abstract: A device for vibration and realization of compaction pressure suitable for manufacture of sand casting molds in a flask which comprises two plates of which one plate carries a cylinder wall and forms a cylinder top and the other plate forms a piston, the space between these plates being substantially of the same diameter of the plate which forms the piston and being connected to a steplessly variable pressure medium source so that the compaction pressure and vibration amplitude are steplessly adjustable.

  • Patent number: 4050505
Abstract: A jarring moulding machine having a table and impact receiving arrangement between the table and an anvil, which arrangement includes an annular impact member recessed into a surface of the anvil, and an impact insert of greater resilience than the impact member seated in an annular recess of step form at the inner periphery of the annular impact member. The top surface of the impact member projects slightly beyond of the anvil surface and the top surface of the impact insert projects slightly beyond of the top surface of the surrounding impact member so that the insert receives the impact before the impact member. The seating recess for the insert is undercut at the junction of its walls so as to leave a small clearance therebetween. The impact member may be of a polyethylene synthetic plastics material and the insert may be of rubbery polyurethane.

  • Patent number: 3998260
Abstract: An apparatus and method for forming foundry cores and molds of superior hardness and uniformity in a wide range of sizes includes staging hoppers for storing a first mass of sand coated with a catalyst-polymerizable resin film, and a second mass of sand coated with a catalyst film for polymerizing the resin. In forming the cores or molds these masses are simultaneously and evenly dispersed into a high velocity carrier air-sand stream and directed through a static mixer, wherein the resin and catalyst-coated sand particles are intermingled and at least a partial integration of the films takes place into a shaping mold cavity, wherein the sand mixture hardens into a desired shape. For improved integration of the resin and catalyst films, and for improved core density, air is injected into the air sand stream downline of the static mixer immediately prior to the sand mixture entering the shaping mold.
