  • Publication number: 20150068699
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a centrifugal casting machine, including: a rotating plate rotating by means of a motor; a cylindrical sleeve installed on the rotating plate and having an internal diameter corresponding to an external diameter of silicon steel plates constituting a core in the sleeve; an upper mold internally installed on the sleeve to define a first molding space into which a molten metal is introduced to mold an end ring; a lower mold internally installed on the sleeve to define a second molding space into which a molten metal is introduced to mold an end ring; a dummy shaft fitted in the center of the core and coupled to the lower mold; a cap coupled to an upper end of the dummy shaft to press the core; and a hydraulic ram coupled to the lower mold to move the lower mold up and down and coupled to the rotating plate to rotate therewith.

  • Publication number: 20140251570
Abstract: A centrifugal casting apparatus includes a rotatable assembly to rotate about a rotation axis. The rotatable assembly includes a sprue chamber positioned about the rotation axis and is shaped to receive a supply of molten material. A first gate and a second gate are positioned to receive molten material from the sprue chamber in a general direction of centrifugal force. A first cavity and a second cavity are stacked and are respectively positioned to receive molten material from the first gate and the second gate in the general direction of centrifugal force.

  • Patent number: 4082586
Abstract: A method of constructing a model tree structure and the article resulting therefrom constitute the present invention. First a full three-dimensional pattern is constructed from wire and tin-lead. The pattern is then partially flattened and placed in a rubber mold. The mold is filled in around the pattern with rubber and the entire mold with the pattern in place is heated to vulcanize the rubber and form a mold cavity conforming to the configuration of the pattern. A casting metal is provided which preferably is at least 98% lead. Up to 2% antimony may be added to increase flow characteristics. It is also permissible to include a quantity of tin. The part is cast in the mold using centrifugal casting techniques. After the part has solidified and been removed from the mold it is bent into full three-dimensional form corresponding generally to the initial shape of the pattern.

  • Patent number: 4055216
Abstract: A vacuum casting machine has a rotary table obtaining motion from a self-contained drive and accommodating chambers with casting molds. In turning, the rotary table causes each of the chambers to register in succession with an opening in a melting chamber through which metal is being poured. This arrangement of mold chambers enables partial overlapping in time of such processes as preparing a mold for pouring, the melting of charge and accumulating melt in the melting chamber in a requisite amount, and the cooling of each mold with the casting. This all considerably increases the production rate of the machine.
