Tool Changeable To Diverse Tool Patents (Class 172/251)
  • Publication number: 20140352990
Abstract: A middle mounted implement tractor utilizes a movable frame design in order to provide for middle mounting of implements on a tractor that can drive up to the implement, raise its front portion in the air, drive forward over the implement, and then lower the front portion to the ground and attach the middle mounted implement. This is accomplished utilizing a front frame assembly pivotably connected to a mounting frame assembly which mounts the implement; a frame mover mechanism that lifts the front frame and mounting frame; a middle frame which connects the cab, frame mover mechanism and related components; and a rear frame which attaches rear wheels, caster wheels, engine, etc. The front wheels can turn one hundred and eighty degrees and the tractor can easily interchange consumables via a carriage system that allows simple loading and unloading of tanks, etc.

  • Publication number: 20090101372
Abstract: A blade has an overall blade width of W, and includes a central front portion, interposition front portions, and side front portions. A straight first edge section is arranged on the lower end of the central front portion. Each of the front surfaces of the central front portion, the interposition front portions, and the side front portions is formed in an arc-shaped surface that has a prescribed radius R2. The radius R2 satisfies the following formula: R2=(0.7 to 1.0)×H, where H is the height from the edge of the first edge section to the top end of a soil retaining plate in side view in a digging posture when the edge angle ? of the edge sections is an angle of 40° to 55°.

  • Patent number: 4607707
Abstract: A chisel plow including a landside attached rearwardly of the chisel shovels. The landside is disposed to extend generally fore-and-aft and is disposed laterally outward to one of the lateral edges of the chisel shovel. As the chisel plow travels forwardly through the soil, each chisel shovel forms a fore-and-aft furrow defined by opposing furrow walls cut by the lateral edges of the chisel shovel. The landside bears against one of the furrow walls to counteract forces which tend toward an overcutting or undercutting condition. Structure is provided to allow the selective mounting of the landside to be disposed laterally outward to either of the lateral edges of the chisel shovel to control overcutting or undercutting. This results in improved functional performance of the entire chisel plow implement by allowing it to maintain its proper width of cut.

  • Patent number: 4168749
Abstract: A hand-propelled cultivator implement having a frame with a wheel journaled on the front of the frame for rollingly supporting the implement as it is moved over the ground. A cage is provided on the frame for rigidly mounting a selected cultivating tool on the frame in a cultivating position for cultivating the soil as the cultivator is moved over the ground and for permitting quick change of one cultivating tool for another. The cultivating tool mounting arrangement further includes a locking member manually movable from a retracted position in which a cultivating tool may be removed from its cage and replaced by another tool and a locking position in which the locking member positively retains the cultivating tool within the cage. In another embodiment, a plurality of tools are rigidly mounted on a rotatable turret, the latter being positively retained in any selected one of a plurality of positions by a movable locking member.

  • Patent number: 4079788
Abstract: A hand-pushable, tilling device includes a main frame carrying ground-engaging front and rear wheels, handle means on the frame and a selection of tilling tools, including at least a furrow-forming tool and a cultivating tool, each having a shank portion terminating in a transversely extending soil-penetrating projection. The main frame includes a tool-holding frame supported for pivotal movement about a lateral, horizontal axis. In the uppermost position of the tool-holding frame, the latter frame presents a generally horizontally extending recess into which the shank portion of either tool is slidably mountable and locked preferably by a spring-urged latching means. The depth of penetration and the angle of penetration of the soil-penetrating projecting portion of the selected tool is varied preferably by screw means passing through a support member pivoted on a lateral, horizontal axis upon the main frame and secured to a pivoted second support member attached to the tool-holding frame.
