    Abstract: A snow wing assembly for a machine is provided. The snow wing assembly includes a wing blade provided on a first side of the machine. The snow wing assembly also includes a first cylinder coupled to the wing blade. The snow wing assembly further includes a controller coupled to the first cylinder and an articulation determination device. The controller is configured to receive a signal indicative of an articulation of the machine towards a second side from the articulation determination device. The controller is configured to extend the first cylinder freely based on the received signal and an amount of articulation. The controller is also configured to receive a signal indicative of the articulation of the machine towards the first side from the second side from the articulation determination device. The controller is further configured to lock the first cylinder in an extended position based on the received signal.

A dust suppression system features spray nozzles distributed across the main frame section behind the blades, and storage tanks mounted atop the main section so that weight of the dust suppression agent provides extra downforce to the blades.

    Abstract: A snow plow composed of a central blade and of two wing blades which are laterally hinged to the end of the main blade for wing blade angular adjustment forwardly and rearwardly of the main blade from a position and alignment with the same. Furthermore, the level of each wing blade with respect to the main blade can be adjusted. Also, tilt motion of the laterally outward end portions of the wing blades either upwardly or downwardly is also possible. Each blade consists of a flat panel and its bottom edge carries a striker lip which can pivot rearwardly during forward movement of the plow upon the blade striking an obstacle. The snow plow is supported by a structure in front of a vehicle having forward lifting and tilting arms, this structure allowing a snow plow to laterally tilt within a limited angle in accordance with the transverse inclination of the surface being plowed. Upon slight rising of the snow plow, its forward pitch angle automatically increases to a pre-determined limit.

The plow assembly has at least one extendable, forwardly pivotable plow wing which is extendable on one end of a main plow by sliding movement along the front of the plow between a retracted and an extended position in which the plow wing is generally aligned with the plow front surface. The plow wing is also pivotally mounted on a hinge for movement between the extended position and a forwardly angled position in which the plow wing front surface extends at an angle to the plow front surface. A power source connected to the plow wing is operable to move the wing between the retracted, extended and forwardly angled positions. Preferably, a latch assembly prevents pivotal movement of the plow wing to the forwardly angled position until the plow wing is in the extended position.

    Abstract: An edging apparatus for an ice resurfacing machine includes a guide operatively attaching to one of the side edges of the machine which is capable of being extended from the side of the machine such that it can contact an upright surface as, for example, a rink wall or a dasher board extending around the perimeter of an ice rink. Associated with the guide is an ice shaving blade which is capable of extending in a vertical direction upwards and downwards between a shaving position wherein it can contact the ice surface and shave the surface and a non-shaving position wherein it is lifted upwards from the ice surface. The guide is interposed between the end of the edge of the blade and the dasher board or the rink wall such that it is impossible to catch the end of the blade in the wall or dasher board yet it is possible to correctly position the end of this blade very close to the wall or dasher board allowing shaving of the ice surface to a point almost immediately adjacent to the wall or dasher board.
