  • Patent number: 11926988
Abstract: A system and method for automatically adjusting the pitch of a work implement attached to a work vehicle, wherein the work implement has adjustable wings. The system and method include moving materials with a blade having an adjustable wing located at one end of a center portion of the blade. blade operatively connected to the work vehicle is positionable with respect to the work vehicle in response to an operator command. A commanded position of the blade is identified based on a blade positioning signal received from the operator command transmitted by an operator control device. An inclined position of the adjustable wing with respect to the center portion of the blade is identified. A pitch of the blade with respect to the work vehicle based is automatically adjusted based on the identified commanded position of the blade and the identified inclined position of the adjustable wing.

  • Patent number: 6273198
Abstract: A pitch control system for a bulldozer having a bulldozer blade that is mounted to a blade linkage. The bulldozer blade is coupled to the blade linkage by a bearing that permits the right and left angling movement of the bulldozer blade and the forward and rearward pitch of the bulldozer blade relative to the blade linkage. • Patent number: 5732781
Abstract: A mechanism to interfit between the bucket of a front end loader and its support and tilting arms allows the bucket be tilted in a laterally extending vertical plane. The mechanism provides a rear plate, having rearwardly extending fastening structure to pivotally interconnect to the support and tilting arms, pivotally carrying a front plate having forwardly extending fastening structure to immovably interconnect the bucket. The pivotal interconnection of the front plate with the rear plate is accomplished by a medial journaling pin, journaling channels at each lateral end of the rear plate that carry the lateral portions of the front plate and a medial nut and bolt combination extending therebetween to allow limited pivotal motion. A first species of mounting mechanism powers the tilting motion of the bucket by an asymmetrically positioned, horizontally extending hydraulic cylinder, and a second species powers the tilting motion by an asymmetrically positioned, vertically extending hydraulic cylinder.

  • Patent number: 5069296
Abstract: An apparatus adapted to permit independent setting of pitch and tilt of dozer blades without necessitating complex hydraulic circuitry or mechanical linkage. The blade is pivotally supported by two forwardly extending push beams. A strut is connected at one end to one of the push beams and is connected at its other end to the dozer blade via a cam assembly. The cam assembly permits dozer blade pitching to take place without interacting with the dozer blade tilt angle. In a preferred embodiment, two struts are used at opposite ends of the blade and are each connected to their respective side of the blade by a respective cam. The two cams are linked together and synchronized so that their stroke equally pitches the sides of the dozer blade.

  • Patent number: 4999022
Abstract: An earthmoving attachment to be mounted on the front end of a tractor. The attachment includes a frame secured to the tractor, arms pivoted to the frame and extending forwardly and mounting a combination bucket and blade. Hydraulic cylinders individually extend telescoping sections in the arms to effect a skewing of the blade. Another hydraulic cylinder mounting a slider adjacent one end of the blade is operable to tilt the blade or bucket. Other sets of hydraulic cylinders tip the bucket and lift the arms conventionally. Simple adjustments are operable to convert the attachment from the configuration of a front-end-loader to that of a dozer, and to skew, tilt and tip the blade and bucket in various configurations.
