  • Patent number: 11279016
Abstract: A system includes first and second power tools that each have a percussion mechanism, a motor, and a transmission. The transmission includes a striking mechanism and is configured to transfer a driving motion of the motor to an insert tool held in a tool holder. The transmission has a guide tube that is identical in some regions along a working axis and accommodates a striker. The guide tube is rotatably coupled to the motor by a first transmission unit. The striker is driven to linearly oscillate by a piston of a second transmission unit. A ratio between a diameter of the tool holder and a diameter of the guide tube is 1.8 times greater in the first power tool than in the second power tool. A striking energy of the second power tool is mechanically reduced compared to a striking energy of the first power tool.

  • Patent number: 9205548
Abstract: The impacting tool has a tool holder and a locking part. The locking part can be driven to move between the bit holding position, where it is engaged with the tool bit inserted into the bit inserting hole so that pullout is restrained, and a bit holding released position where the engagement is released and pullout is allowed. The locking part and the tool holder can be integrated with each other while moving in the longitudinal direction of the tool bit, so that they can be driven to move between the bit anchored position where the locking part is set at the bit holding position and the engagement state with respect to the tool bit is maintained, and the bit last connection/disconnection allowed position where the locking part is set at the bit holding released position and releasing of the engagement with respect to the hammer bit is allowed.

Abstract: A spindle lock (10) includes a detent arrangement including springs (25) acting on projections (30), each projection engaging one of a pair of recesses (40, 41) to control and buffer the rotation of a spindle (13) and to delay the engagement of locking elements (26a, 26b). A compact, reliable mechanism with a high degree of modularity is achieved by providing the recesses in an inner rotor (31) and the springs and projections in an outer rotor (18) that extends about the inner rotor.

  • Patent number: 9044848
Abstract: An impact tool includes a motor, a rotating shaft rotationally driven by the motor, a swinging member that swings in an axial direction of a tool bit by rotation of the rotating shaft, a tool driving mechanism connected to an end region of the swinging member in a direction transverse to the axis of the rotating shaft. The tool driving mechanism is moved rectilinearly in the axial direction of the tool bit by swinging movement of the swinging member thereby rectilinearly driving the tool bit. A vibration reducing member reduces vibration caused in the axial direction of the tool bit during operation of the tool bit. The vibration reducing member is disposed on an opposite side of a rectilinear working axis of the tool bit from the rotating shaft and connected to a connecting part between the swinging member and the tool driving mechanism so as to be driven.

Abstract: An angle impact tool includes a handle assembly extending along a first axis, a prime mover in the handle, an output shaft rotatable about the first axis, and a work attachment connected to the handle assembly. An output drive is supported in the work attachment for rotation about an output axis perpendicular to the first axis. A gear assembly including a spur gear is positioned within the work attachment to transfer torque from the prime mover about the first axis to the output drive about the output axis. An impact mechanism is positioned within the work attachment and includes a hammer and an anvil. The hammer rotates under the influence of the prime mover and is operable to periodically deliver an impact load to the anvil. The output drive rotates about the output axis under the influence of the impact load being transmitted to the output drive by the anvil.

Abstract: An impact tool comprises an end-bit holding section (3a) and a driving source (2). The end-bit holding section is formed with a hole (3a) for receiving an end bit (12), the hole having a center axis defining an axial direction, the hole having one end in the axial direction functioning as an end-bit insertion opening (3c) for passing the end bit therethrough, the hole having a generally polygonal cross section perpendicular to the axial direction. The driving source is configured to rotate the end-bit holding section. An arc-shaped cutout (3g) is formed at each apex angle of the hole in proximity to the end-bit insertion opening such that the arc-shaped cutout has a largest arc dimension at the opening (3c) and the arc dimension decreases gradually from the opening toward another end of the hole in the axial direction.

  • Patent number: 8936106
Abstract: An orthopedic impacting tool comprises a motor, an energy storage arrangement, a striker, and an anvil. The motor stores energy in the energy arrangement means and then releases it, causing the striker to apply a controlled force on an adapter to create a precise impact for use in a surgical setting. The tool may further comprise a combination anvil and adapter. The tool further allows forward or backward impacting for expanding the size or volume of the opening or for facilitating removal of a broach, implant, or other surgical implement from the opening. An energy adjustment control of the tool allows a surgeon to increase or decrease the impact energy. A light source and hand grips improve ease of operation of the tool.
