  • Patent number: 5376758
Abstract: A speaker cable assembly having sets of conductors braided about an enlarged flexible core assembly. The enlarged core assembly allows distant spacing of the individual conductors to minimize electromagnetic field interactions to cause signal anomalies. The conductors are spirally wound about the flexible core and held in place by a potted layer of plastic. The core is preferably filled with lead shot to provide weight to insure stability during use and operation.

  • Patent number: 5364898
Abstract: Improved thermoplastic compositions characterized by high tensile elongation values are described. They comprise polyphenylene ether resin, a hydrogenated elastomeric block copolymer having an A-B-A' structure, with specific molecular weight values for the copolymer blocks and a phenylsiloxane fluid of particular composition. Electrical conductor articles which include polymerized thermoplastic compositions as mentioned above represent another embodiment of this invention.

  • Patent number: 4590025
Abstract: The purpose of the invention is to manufacture varnish-bonded thread-covered circular-section and profile-section wires and braided conductors in a manner which is particularly cheap and which involves particularly little risk of contaminating the environment.Suitable thread-covered wires and braided conductors are obtained by impregnation, in one operation, with partially crystalline or amorphous thermoplastic polycondensates.
