Stem Or Sealing Disk Attached To Envelope Neck Patents (Class 174/50.57)
  • Patent number: 11764000
Abstract: Electrolytic capacitors may use a canister and a lid to confine an electrolyte and prevent the electrolyte from evaporating during use, and an improved seal between the canister and the lid may be achieved by increasing the surface area of the seal. For example, the surface area of the seal may be increased by changing the shape and/or thickness of the canister edge. For example, the surface area of the seal may be increased by changing the shape of an elastomer layer of the lid and/or adding an annular protuberance at the circumference of the lid. For example, the surface area of the seal may be changed by changing the process for forming the edge during the capacitor sealing.

  • Patent number: 8575482
Abstract: An interface for an enclosure comprises at least one enclosure wall that separates an enclosure interior from an enclosure exterior, an opening in the enclosure wall, and a recess in the enclosure wall. The recess adjoins the opening. A dielectric connector is configured to securely fasten to the enclosure wall. The connector extends into the recess. A seal is situated in the recess between the enclosure wall and the connector. An inserted member is inserted through the opening and surrounded by the seal and the connector. Where the connector is securely fastened to the enclosure wall, the seal is compressed to form a moisture-resistant barrier between the enclosure interior and the enclosure exterior.

  • Patent number: 6245993
Abstract: Hermetically sealed electrical leads emanating from the neck portion of a conductive housing extend through a sleeve member that includes conductive and non-conductive parts. The sleeve member is dimensioned to firmly engage the neck portion of the housing. When so engaged, the electrical leads extend through longitudinal openings in the non-conductive part. In that way, a substantial extent of the leads is shielded. Moreover, the extent to which the leads can be laterally moved with respect to their hermetic seals is thereby significantly restricted.
