Patent number: 7725504Abstract: The present invention provides a method and apparatus for helping a user form a structured diagram from an unstructured information source. Starting with one or more key information elements such as some special words, the requests of a customer contained in the information source can be obtained by performing interactive and iterative searching in the unstructured information source such as text, audio, video and etc., the artifacts representing them are drawn in the diagram, and linkages are established between the artifacts and the corresponding contents in the information source. The present invention also proposes that the distribution of established linkages can be used to check whether all the requests in the information source have been extracted in the diagram. Further, various levels of warnings can be shown according to the density of linkage distribution. Therefore the user can draw a structured diagram more conveniently and quickly, and can perform checking and reusing more easily.Type: GrantFiled: March 28, 2006Date of Patent: May 25, 2010Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Zhao Ming Qiu, Guo Tong Xie, Dong Liu, Gang Hu

Patent number: 7138586Abstract: A refrigerator with weighing scale includes a refrigerator and a weighing scale. The refrigerator includes a chamber with top, bottom, front, rear, side surfaces, and a control board, and the weighing scale is attached to the bottom surface of the refrigerator. The weighing scale is retractable from under the bottom surface of the refrigerator. The weighing scale includes a digital scale. The digital scale includes a stepping pad and a display for showing the weight. The display of the digital scale is disposed on the control board of the refrigerator, and the display is electronically connected to the remaining portion of the digital scale. The display on the control board of the refrigerator is turned on by stepping on the stepping pad of the weighing scale, by a control switch provided on the control board, or by being pulled out from under the bottom surface of the refrigerator.Type: GrantFiled: August 3, 2006Date of Patent: November 21, 2006Inventor: Brian S. Patent number: 6787713Abstract: A load cell and system for detecting the quantity of liquid carbon dioxide in a tank includes load cells positioned between the legs of the tank and a surface. Each load cell includes a frame constructed from a folded metal plate so that a top panel, sides and ends are formed. A beam having proximal and distal ends is suspended from the top panel of the frame by its proximal end and a spacer. A platform support is positioned upon the distal end of the beam with a platform on top. The platform support passes through an opening formed in the top panel of the frame so that the platform is supported above the frame top panel. A leg of the tank is secured to the platform. A strain gauge circuit is mounted to the top surface of the beam and a summary board receives the signals from the strain gauge circuits of multiple load cells so that the quantity of liquid in the tank is determined. This quantity may be displayed and/or transmitted as telemetry to a centralized delivery truck dispatching facility.Type: GrantFiled: July 29, 2002Date of Patent: September 7, 2004Assignee: Chart Inc.Inventors: Robert Kuechenmeister, Greg Voss

Patent number: 4669029Abstract: The present disclosure describes a housing module characterized in that it may be readily slid onto a counter-like unit which provides support therefor. The module finds particular application in the housing of electrical components, wherein the latter may be located either in a tray-like section disposed on the surface of the counter-like unit or in a box-like enclosure, below the unit. The components are electrically connected and communicate with one another via cables which are routed within the module and which may be pre-wired, thereby eliminating cable through-holes in the unit.Type: GrantFiled: October 25, 1985Date of Patent: May 26, 1987Assignee: Burroughs CorporationInventors: Richard N.
