Plural Tracks With Interconnected Drive Or Support Means Patents (Class 180/192)
  • Patent number: 4865142
Abstract: A load-carrying vehicle is disclosed which has a chassis over which a load-carrying bucket or platform is fixed and which is, itself, mounted on a track drive. A motor assembly is mounted at the front of the chassis and the latter further has a bridge structure located ahead of the motor assembly and connected to the chassis while spanning a steering wheel. The latter is mounted on a steerable support actuated by a steering lever which projects rearwardly from the bridge structure over the motor assembly and over the load-carrying bucket or platform. A power transmission connects the motor assembly to the steering wheel and to the track drive so that the two may be operated simultaneously.

  • Patent number: 4854422
Abstract: A hand-operated lift truck includes a pump unit adapted to operate a hydraulic cylinder which in turn serves to move a fork up and down above a chassis. The pump unit is positioned right above one of a pair of rear wheels of the lift truck and includes a pumping handle for operating a plunger pump. The pumping handle is rotatable about its own axis and linked at the lower end to a support which supports the one rear wheel stated, so that when rotated the handle causes the one rear wheel to turn integrally with it. The pumping handle, therefore, bifunctions as a steering handle which is easy to operate. In addition, because the pumping handle is rotatable as stated, it can be tilted and untilted to drive the pump even if the space available at the rear of the lift truck is narrow.

  • Patent number: 4750578
Abstract: A chassis member with rear wheels and a battery compartment has a detachable connection with an upright front wheeled support. The front wheeled support has a steering handle assembly pivotally connected thereto which can be locked in upright position or swung rearwardly into a folded position parallel with the front wheeled support, or pivoted forwardly for use as a dolly-type handle. An electric motor is mounted on the front wheeled support and has lead wires to the battery and to a switch operated by a belt tightener providing driving power when a hand lever is depressed but providing free wheeling when the lever is released. The lead wires for the battery are of a length and have disconnects which allow the battery to be carried on the person if desired. The cart is adapted to receive a removable seat and when knocked down consists of the chassis member, the front wheeled support, the battery, and the seat if the latter is used.

  • Patent number: 4701098
Abstract: A cable reel handling and transporting trailer including a wheeled frame having a forwardly extending hitch provided on the forward end thereof. The wheeled frame includes a pair of laterally spaced-apart and longitudinally extending side frames having a wheel rotatably mounted thereon. A hydraulically operated leveling arm is pivotally mounted on each of the side frames and is adapted to engage a spindle reel assembly extended through a cable reel to roll the spindle reel assembly forwardly on the leveling arms. When the spindle reel assembly has reached the forward end of the leveling arms, a pair of hydraulic cylinders are actuated which engage the opposite ends of the spindle reel assembly so that the spindle reel assembly and the cable reel are moved upwardly on a forwardly extending guide rail into a lock/transport/rotating position. A hydraulic motor is operatively connected to one end of the spindle reel assembly for laying and retrieving the cable on the cable reel.
