    Abstract: A basic scaffolding tower assembly for building up, in modular fashion, a multi-level scaffolding system includes a pair of load-bearing tower panels spaced from and parallel to the building facade. The tower panels are joined together by a pair of landing channels extending perpendicularly to the building facade, thereby forming a generally rectangular tower structure. The landing channels support a work deck running parallel to the building facade, and the tower panels are spaced apart sufficiently to provide a drive-through passageway along the work deck wise enough for motorized construction equipment. Extension members carried by the landing channels extend inwardly towards the building facade and support, in cantilever fashon, a four foot or wider work deck immediately adjacent the facade. The tower assembly components are made of aluminum and are sufficiently robust to support twenty or more work levels.

    Abstract: An A-frame ladder comprises two side rail assemblies and a platform guard rail assembly each provided in their rail members with elongate oval apertures defining handholds or hand grips. Steps of the side rail assemblies and the platform of the platform guard rail assembly are formed with elongate openings for draining water from the upper surfaces of the steps and the platform and for augmenting the gripping of users' feet by those upper surfaces. The steps are connected to the side rails by snap lock pins and the side rail assemblies are connected to guard rail members of the platform guard rail assembly by twist-ock pins, whereby an outer side rail assembly may be removably disconnected from the platform to prevent access to a swimming pool by youngsters. Brackets are attachable to the guard rail members of the platform guard rail assembly for connecting the platform guard rail assembly to sections of a perimetrally extending fence, whereby the ladder becomes an integral part of the fence.

    Abstract: This scaffolding comprises a base, a pair of spaced posts on said base each formed of modular post sections, releasably secured one on top of the other by fasteners. Each post section is formed of a lattice frame with transversely-extending bars forming anchoring steps, equally spaced along the post. A work platform surrounds the posts and is guided therealong for up-and-down movement. A pair of anchoring hooks are pivoted at theri lower end to the platform and are engageable with the steps of the two posts to suspend the platform. A pair of hydraulic rams are pivoted also to the platform adjacent each post and upwardly-upstanding piston rods are provided with hooks to engage the steps of the post and raise or lower the platform. The hydraulic supply for the rams is mounted on the platform. The hook members are biased towards the posts, so that they automatically engage the steps. A single operator can operate the rams to raise and lower the work platform.

When the shelf is lowered on the rails to its lowermost position, all four wheels contact the surface for movement of the dolly from one location to another. In either mode of use, a weight is supportable on the shelf. In another form of the dolly, a storable handle bar can be attached near the top of the legs to permit use as a hand truck when the device is in the mode of use which allows movement of a supported weight. With the first form, movement along a surface is contemplated, while in the second form, movement up and down stairways is also possible.
