Abstract: A ladder selectively allows or prevents user access to the ladder steps, such that the ladder can only be climbed when such access is allowed. For example, the ladder may only selectively allow ingress into a bathing enclosure, e.g., when operated by an adult, but always allows egress from the bathing enclosure by any user. The ladder includes one or more safety blocks moveable between a safety configuration, in which ingress is prevented or inhibited, and a ladder configuration, in which ingress and egress is permitted.
Abstract: The present invention is a safety pool ladder to be installed against a wall of an above-ground pool. The safety pool ladder comprises a ladder structure comprising a plurality of step members extending horizontally between a pair of side members, and a flat surface disposed towards back of the plurality of step members, when the safety pool ladder is disposed in a use position. The safety pool ladder also comprises a pair of side rails with channels formed therein to allow the ladder structure to travel along a length thereof. The ladder structure is adapted to travel along the length of the side rails, and rotated and flipped thereafter such that the flat surface is disposed towards front of the plurality of step members to dispose the safety pool ladder in a block position.
Abstract: This invention is directed to providing an entertainment table from a readily accessible ladder, preferably an extension ladder, available in most households. In particular, the ladder is supported by a pair of saw-horse type supports at opposite ends of the ladder and various sized and shaped open-ended containers with extensions at their respective open ends are supported from and between pairs of spaced rungs of the ladder. The ladder may also be provided with an elongated planar support with one or more various sized and shaped openings therein and which planar support is supported by and along the rungs of the ladder or by and along the rails of the ladder. Also, the ladder may be provided with a plurality of support plates aligned side by side and supported by the opposing rails of the ladder with some of said support plates having a shaped opening therein.
Abstract: A foldable scaffold is convertible between a use position and a folded position. In the use position, the scaffold may be used to support one or more people standing thereon. In the folded position, the scaffold may be more compact and easy to carry or store.
Abstract: A suspended table assembly includes a first support and a second support that are vertically spaced from each other. A plurality of legs is provided. Each of the legs has a first end and a second end. Each of a plurality of first brackets is pivotally coupled to one of the first ends. The first brackets are attached to the first support. A plurality of second brackets is also provided. Each of the second brackets is pivotally coupled to one of the second ends and each of the second brackets is attached to the second support.
Abstract: A portable table assembled with the use of an extension ladder that is located at the job site. The portable saw table is easily assembled from combining a plurality of component parts together and transforming an ordinary extension ladder into an accurate workstation for saw and carpentry tasks.
Abstract: A deck assembly. The deck assembly may have at least one nonmovable horizontally-oriented unit and at least one movable unit that pivotally attached to a nonmovable unit. The movable unit can be pivoted between a first position wherein it is substantially co-planar with the nonmovable unit to which it is attached to form a substantially planar deck surface. The movable unit may also be selectively pivoted to at least one position wherein it is not co-planar with the nonmovable unit to form an upstanding fence or barrier. Each movable unit may be fitted with a support brace for supporting the nonmovable unit in the non-coplanar position. The deck units may also be equipped with shock absorbers for controlling the pivotal travel of the movable deck units to a predetermined rate. In addition, the deck units may also be pivoted and retained in any non-coplanar position by fluid actuated air cylinders attached between the nonmovable units and the movable units.
Abstract: The present disclosure is related to a multi-purpose aluminum folding ladder having a detachable stand-on board and a pair of supporting handrails mounted thereto when used as a stepladder, and more particular to a foldable ladder which can be converted into ladders of different forms such as, a stepladder, a stretched climbing ladder, and also into work stations, and tables etc., and can further be assembled into a variety of exercising apparatuses with the assistance of a number of accessory parts on which people can do various kinds of exercise such as rowing, weight-pulling, chest-expanding, arm and leg strengthening; and can also be transformed into a chair for relaxation purpose. The multipurpose folding ladder is characterized by its practicality and readiness in use.
Abstract: This invention relates to a detachable top to be used with foldup ladders of the type described in co-pending applications Ser. Nos. 06/341,830; 06/492,487; and 06/537,276. Also, this top can be used with the slidable ladder described in U.S. Pat. No. 4,429,766. This ladder can be converted into many structures such as a workbench, table or step ladder. The top comprises a rectangular main portion and a narrower extending section. The main portion fits over and around the rails of the ladder (after conversion to a workbench) and the narrower extending section fits inside the rails but on substantially the same plane as the main portion.

Abstract: Apparatus for use as a stairway, stepladder and the like has a pair of upper stringers and a pair of lower stringers, all connected at one end to a top structure; and a series of treads, each of which is pivoted to the upper and lower stringers. The axes of articulation associated with the upper stringers are offset vertically from those associated with the lower stringers so that the stringers may be swung about their points of connection with the top structure, without the treads deviating from the horizontal into a horizontal position of the stringers, in which the upper stringers rest on the lower stringers. Support elements are articulated to the top structure, and an automatic latching apparatus is provided to interconnect the support members with the stringers.
