For Transmission Band Patents (Class 184/11.3)
  • Patent number: 9528593
Abstract: An oil feeding member (100), catching oil picked up by a gear, includes a gutter guiding the oil from one end to the other end of a transmission in its axial direction. The gutter is comprised of a first gutter (131) and a second gutter (132). A portion of the oil feeding member closer to the one end includes a catching wall (124) standing between the first and second gutters, catching the oil picked up by a speed change gear (21, 22) serving as the gear, and guiding the oil into the first gutter. A transmission case (2) includes a guiding portion (150) guiding, into the second gutter, the oil picked up by the speed change gear and deposited on a ceiling surface (2c) of the transmission case.

  • Patent number: 8240434
Abstract: flow control arrangement for controlling the flow of lubricant discharged from a bearing includes a flow control member locatable, in use, adjacent to the bearing. The flow control member defines a generally radially outer edge and is rotatable to direct lubricant discharged onto the flow control member radially outwardly towards the outer edge for ejection therefrom.

  • Patent number: 8024859
Abstract: A replacement oil pump plate for attachment to an original equipment manufacture oil pump within a transfer case for elimination of mechanical wear by replacing the abrasive aluminum tabs formed on the oil pump with low-friction plastic tabs is disclosed. The present plastic tab design redistributes the surface-to-surface contact between the magnesium transfer case and the aluminum pump tabs away from the original wear points so that any necessary weld repairs to the transfer case will not be disturbed. The present replacement pump plate is provided in a kit format including a pump plate, machine screws, plastic tabs, and installation instructions. The present invention also describes a method of installing the pump plate kit on the original equipment manufacture oil pump subassembly.

  • Patent number: 7845470
Abstract: A lubricating device for gear trains (10), especially for wind power stations, includes at least two gear stages (16,18) that are disposed next to each other and are effectively interconnected, and a lubricant circuit (20) into which at least one filter unit (26) is mounted. To prevent stagnant resting zones for the lubricant from being created within the gear train housing including the gear stages, while ensuring that the entire lubricant that circulates in the gear stages is fed to the filter unit to be drawn off and filtered within predefined periods of time, the lubricant circulating inside the lubricant circuit (20) is discharged at one gear stage (18), is drawn off through the filter unit, and can then be fed to the other gear stage (16).

  • Patent number: 7766126
Abstract: An integral stand tube for regulating fluid level within a transmission is provided. The stand tube includes an upper opening, at least one lower opening, and an internal volume defined by at least one internal passage for directing fluid from a valve body-side of a transmission to a main sump located on a gear-side of the transmission. The lower opening is operatively connected to a thermal valve assembly and a fluid passage formed in the transmission case between the auxiliary sump of the valve body-side and the main sump of the gear-side. Fluid passing from auxiliary sump to main sump bypasses dynamic transmission components to thereby minimize fluid aeration due to contact therebetween.

  • Patent number: 7686137
Abstract: There is provided an oil separating structure of an automatic transmission, which makes it difficult for an oil strainer of an oil pump to draw oil containing air bubbles. A baffle plate base separates a space around the oil strainer and a space around a driven sprocket as well as a final gear, and therefore, oil containing air bubbles formed as a result of agitation by the driven sprocket, chain, and final gear does not flow directly into the oil strainer. As a result, the oil strainer is unlikely to draw oil containing air bubbles.

  • Patent number: 7165651
Abstract: A lubricating structure of an engine for vehicle comprising a main pump for pressure-feeding a lubricating oil, and a scavenging pump for pumping the lubricating oil out of a crank room to transfer the oil, can reduce an applied load of a main pump and reduce a power loss of the pump while reducing the size of the main pump and the scavenging pump, and thus reducing the size of the entire engine. In the lubricating structure, the crank room and a transmission room are divided by a partition, an oil storage room communicating with a discharging portion of the scavenging pump is formed, and an oil passage for lubricating a transmission is formed in the transmission shaft along the shaft center and is opened to the oil storage room. The lubricating oil in the oil storage room is supplied to lubrication points on the transmission shaft through the oil passage of the transmission shaft.
