Patent number: 11459727Abstract: The present disclosure is directed towards a coupling assembly (13) for a machine (10). The coupling assembled comprises a pin (27) comprising at least a first pin passageway (31) for lubricant extending between a first pin passageway inlet (32) and a first pin passageway outlet (33) for directing lubricant outside of the pin (27). The coupling assembly (13) also comprises a distribution device (28) for distributing lubricant comprising at least one distribution device inlet (45) for receiving lubricant and at least one distribution device outlet (46, 62, 47, 48). The distribution device (28) is mounted to the pin (27) and the at least one distribution device outlet (46, 62, 47, 48) is arranged to direct lubricant into the first pin passageway inlet (32).Type: GrantFiled: June 26, 2019Date of Patent: October 4, 2022Assignee: Caterpillar Global Mining LLCInventors: Igor Strashny, Candace Bauer

Publication number: 20130313051Abstract: The auto/single functions selecting device of a grease gun includes a switch unit connected to the main body of the grease gun. When the user switches the switch unit to the first position, a single shot is available when pulling the trigger one time. When the user switches the switch unit to the second position, the grease is continuously supplied when keep pulling the trigger. The grease gun provides the function of single shot and the function of auto shot.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 23, 2012Publication date: November 28, 2013Applicant: KING CHO MACHINERY INDUSTRIAL CO., LTDInventor: Fu-Tien HUNG

Patent number: 7726448Abstract: A distributor element, in particular a feed distributor, is provided for the metering of lubricants for lubricating installations. The element includes a valve piston featuring a bore. The valve piston moves under the pressure of a lubricant operating at a lubricant inlet against the force of a first return spring from a starting position in which the bore releases a connection between a dispensing chamber and a metering chamber via a connecting passage, to a metering position in which the valve piston releases a passage from the lubricant inlet to the connecting passage and therefore to the metering chamber. Furthermore, the distributor element features a dispensing piston which under the effect of a lubricant entering the metering chamber moves against the force of a second return spring from a starting position and thereby pushes the lubricant volume present in the dispensing chamber between the valve piston and the dispensing piston into a lubricant outlet.Type: GrantFiled: August 22, 2003Date of Patent: June 1, 2010Assignee: Lincoln GmbHInventors: Zdravko Paluncic, Andreas Schönfeld

Patent number: 5361870Abstract: A tank structure is arranged to include a piston within the tank structure to divide the tank to a first and second chamber, wherein the first chamber is arranged to receive used transmission fluid and simultaneously direct fresh transmission fluid into an associated transmission pressure line.Type: GrantFiled: September 13, 1993Date of Patent: November 8, 1994Inventor: Richard R. Patent number: 4993516Abstract: A sealed and pressure balanced lubricating system for high pressure rotary equipment includes a housing with a bore divided by a slidable piston into a lubricant chamber and a gas chamber. The gas chamber communicates with an area of the equipment which is exposed to high gas pressure and the lubricant chamber communicates with bearings within the equipment. During operation gas pressure forces the piston against the lubricant to pressure feed the bearings. A relief valve in the piston is opened, after the equipment stops and the pressure therein returns to atmospheric, in the event that pressurized gas has become entrained in the lubricant due to leakage past shaft seals. Such gas forces the piston back towards the gas chamber; the relief valve contacts an actuator and is opened; and the gas escapes to atmosphere through the piston and the gas chamber.Type: GrantFiled: April 24, 1990Date of Patent: February 19, 1991Assignee: Nova Scotia Research Foundation CorporationInventor: Patrick M. Patent number: 4209081Abstract: A permanently installed lubrication system supplies grease under constant pressure to bearings, or other mechanism at near or remote locations, by means of constant spring tension rather than conventional coil spring expansion on a piston, or plunger, head. Influent and effluent fluid conduit connections into the piston head cylinder permit absolute or differential pressures from about 26 to about 185 pounds per square inch. A pair of back to back constant pressure, coiled band springs exert constant tension and are supported between a pair of T-shaped plates affixed to one end of an elongated, hollow tubular housing.Type: GrantFiled: October 18, 1978Date of Patent: June 24, 1980Inventor: Ronald P. Patent number: 4113061Abstract: This automatic lubricator is an adaption of sound hydraulic principle, that is the application of lubricant over a sustained time period by pressure in the lubricant. The novel feature is that the design permits readily available pressure from a service gun to be directly responsible for the pressure application, which is then trapped in the device, and made to feed out slowly to the surfaces requiring lubrication. Also, included in the preferred form of the device is a gage to indicate visually the quantity of lubricant within the device.Type: GrantFiled: January 17, 1977Date of Patent: September 12, 1978Assignee: Lockheed CorporationInventor: Bertram Anthony Peaster

Patent number: 3951234Abstract: A pin bearing lubrication system is described which comprises a pin bearing having a bush recessed each end thereof; a sealing ring disposed in each recess in the bush; a bearing pin passing through the bush and forming seals with the sealing rings; a reservoir for lubricant formed in the bearing pin; a duct formed the bearing pin connecting the reservoir with bearing surfaces formed between the bush and the bearing pin; and a diaphragm movable in and relative to the reservoir, the arrangement being such that the diaphragm is acted upon by the pressure prevailing outside the bearing pin and by a biasing spring so as to urge the diaphragm in a direction tending to reduce the volume of the reservoir. Such a pin bearing lubrication system may be incorporated in, for example, a chain of dredge buckets which are hinged together by pin bearings.BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION1.Type: GrantFiled: January 30, 1975Date of Patent: April 20, 1976Assignee: Associated Mines (Malaya) Sendirian BerhadInventor: Noel McNeill Fisher
