  • Patent number: 8100229
Abstract: First and second oil flow passages are defined in a wall portion of a transmission casing. The first oil flow passage has an open end exposed to an interior of the casing. The second oil passage is connected to the first oil passage through a connection opening defined by the first oil passage. A separate pipe member has a predetermined end portion that is inserted into the first oil passage from the open end of the same. The predetermined end portion comprises a cylindrical portion having a fixed length; an end opening defined by an end of the cylindrical portion and exposed to the first oil passage; and an orifice opening defined by a side wall of the cylindrical portion. The orifice opening is blocked by an inner wall of the first oil passage when the connection opening takes a first position relative to the open end of the first oil passage, and exposed to the second oil passage when the connection opening takes a second position relative to the open end of the first oil passage.

  • Patent number: 7677207
Abstract: A rotary internal combustion engine has a circular inner chamber, which houses a plurality of cylinders with reciprocating pistons that move in a radial direction towards and away from the center of the inner chamber. A flywheel with distinct vanes or portions is positioned for rotation about a central axis of the inner chamber. A gear assembly operationally connected to the reciprocating pistons forces the flywheel to rotate and impart torque to a central shaft extending though the inner chamber.

  • Patent number: 7631729
Abstract: A reciprocating compressor includes a compressing unit placed over a motor unit. A crankshaft, which converts rotating action of the motor unit into reciprocating action of a piston of the compressing unit, has (a) a centrifugal pump provided at a lower section of the crankshaft, and (b) a pair of spiral pumps that communicate with the centrifugal pump and have leading grooves running in opposite directions to each other. The crankshaft also includes a pair of eccentric paths at its upper section. The eccentric paths open into an enclosed container and communicate with the spiral pumps respectively. This structure allows production of greater force for transferring lubricant oil regardless of the rotating direction of the crankshaft.

  • Patent number: 7481298
Abstract: A lubricating structure for a hydrostatic continuously variable transmission. The structure includes an oil path arranged at an outer circumferential side of a clutch valve, and a lubricant oil ejection hole communicating with the outer circumferential side oil path of the clutch valve and formed in the transmission shaft toward the outer circumference of the transmission shaft. In addition, the structure includes a communicating oil path that is also formed in the transmission shaft for communicating between an oil feeding passage communicating with an lubricant oil feeding source and the outer circumferential oil path of the clutch valve. A single orifice is arranged in the communicating oil path, rather than in the lubricant oil ejection hole. This configuration provides for efficient manufacturing and a high degree of freedom in setting of the lubricant oil ejection hole.

  • Patent number: 7144229
Abstract: A hermetic electric compressor is capable of efficiently pumping up a necessary amount of lubricating oil even at low-speed rotation and has a simple constitution to provide an excellent workablity in assembling. The hermetic electric compressor includes an oil pump. The oil pump includes (i) a slanting channel formed in the lower portion of a main shaft and slanting from the lower portion to the upper portion thereof outwardly, (ii) a throttle formed at the bottom end of the main shaft and having an inlet port of diameter smaller than the section of the slanting channel at the center thereof, and (iii) a lower communicating passage for providing a communication between the bottom end of a spiral groove and the slanting channel. This constitution is capable of effectively lift the head of the lubricating oil.

  • Patent number: 6176223
Abstract: A radial piston pump for high-pressure fuel delivery in fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines, with a drive shaft which is supported in a pump housing. The drive shaft has an eccentrically embodied shaft section upon which a ring is supported in sliding fashion by means of a bearing bush. The ring cooperates preferably with a number of pistons disposed radially in relation to the drive shaft each in a respective cylinder chamber. The eccentric shaft section and the ring are fixed in the axial direction by means of stop faces and a bearing gap is provided between the bearing bush and the eccentric shaft section into which gap lubricant travels from the inside of the pump housing. The relationship of the parts improves the supply of lubricant to the bearing gap and the hub end faces of the pump housing are embodied as conical so that a wedge-shaped gap is produced which narrows in the direction of the bearing gap.
