Abstract: A dumpster handling device is disclosed for handling a first dumpster and a second dumpster comprises a lower support beam for supporting a first dumpster. A lower support beam, a first side frame and a second side frame define a lower dumpster holding channel. A first upper support beam and a second upper support beam define an upper dumpster holding channel. A dumpster lift vertically lifts the first dumpster from the lower dumpster holding channel to the upper dumpster holding channel. A beam lift pivots the lower support beam and the first dumpster. A lower hoist positions a second dumpster within the lower dumpster holding channel. A first telescoping support beam and a second telescoping support beam define an angled dumpster displacement channel. An upper hoist links with the first dumpster for displacing the first dumpster along the angled dumpster displacement channel.

  • Patent number: 8292040
Abstract: A double screw elevator consists of two screws whose helical threads extend in opposite helical directions, and each of the screws is provided with a nut, so that a suspension unit and a carrying unit on the nuts can be driven to move close to or away from each other, thus achieving the function of lifting or lowering the elevator car. The double screw elevator is simply structured, easy to assemble, and the length of a single screw of the elevator is shortened, making it easier to manufacture the screw. Furthermore, the screw driving elevator reduces the occurrence of accident whiling improving the rate of utilization.

Abstract: A torque motor type elevator comprises a torque motor, a ball screw, a sliding nut and an elevator car. The torque motor serves to drive the load screw of the ball screw directly, so the elevator car fixed to the load nut is moved up and down. The ball screw of the present invention is provided for reducing the loss of energy of the elevator driving system, and the sliding nut is disposed on the ball screw to improve its safety. The torque motor can be added with a resolver or an encoder to control the position precisely. Such arrangements can prevent the problem of energy consumption and can simplify the structure.

  • Patent number: 6598708
Abstract: A driving apparatus includes a roller screw that includes a main shaft, a plurality of roller shafts projecting radially outwardly and upwardly at an angle from the radial direction of the main shaft and arranged along a helical line there around, and a plurality of rollers rotatably mounted on the roller shafts. The rollers are tapered to the same angle inwardly toward the main shaft. A rail member, adjacent to and axially oriented with the main shaft, includes a plurality of spaced projections adapted for radial engagement with the tapered rollers. The angle of the tapering is pre-determined to provide a sliding free engagement between the rollers and the projections with the interface there between being oriented to intersect the rotation axis of their respective roller shaft on the rotation axis of the main shaft. The rotation of the main shaft axially moves the roller screw relative to the rail member.

  • Patent number: 6327925
Abstract: A linear drive unit has a threaded rod, and in combing engagement with same a threaded nut (2), from the outer circumference of which a number of equally spaced cogs (3) project in a radial direction. Furthermore, connecting links (4, 5), which extend parallel to the axis of the threaded rod inside a housing, are driven via hydraulically or pneumatically actuated pistons, causing the connecting links (4, 5) to move in an axial direction. During this oscillating movement the connecting links act upon cogs (3) that project from the threaded nut (2). The force exerted via the cogs (3) located on the outer circumference of the threaded nut (2) causes the threaded nut (2) to be put into an incremental rotation, which, in turn, causes an incremental linear shifting of the threaded rod (1).

  • Patent number: 5951776
Abstract: A particular configuration of a compact self-aligning lift mechanism is provided for lifting the stem of a pedestal in a processing chamber while minimizing process anomalies due to geometric misalignment and binding of moving pieces. The force associated with supporting a stem in a processing chamber is routed through a first arm through a base portion of a carrier bracket where it engages a linear bearing such that the truck and track of the linear bearing absorb all forces riot aligned with the bearing. A second arm extending from the base portion, for example through a set of slots adjacent to the bearing track support member, is attached to a lift mechanism which can oppose the force from the pedestal stem such that the displacements of the first and second arms are predictable based on the force on that arm.

  • Patent number: 5878844
Abstract: An automated guided vehicle for carrying a load comprises a mast, a lift carriage, a ball screw drive assembly and a ball screw joint. The ball screw drive assembly has a lift nut and a vertically oriented ball screw. The ball screw joint operatively couples the drive assembly to the lift carriage so as to transmit upward vertical forces from the drive assembly to the lift carriage. The ball screw joint includes first, second, third and fourth shafts which permit the lift nut to move in any horizontal direction and to pivot about any horizontal axis with respect to the lift carriage. As a result, the ball screw joint advantageously prevents the transmission of horizontal forces and angular moments between the ball screw and the lift nut, thereby reducing the wearing out effects of component misalignment on the ball screw assembly.
