  • Patent number: 10399822
Abstract: A hydraulic elevating platform having no guide rails and an elevating method. A hydraulic power pack drives three parallel hydraulic cylinders to work synchronously, thereby implementing the rising and falling of an elevating platform; when the elevating platform reaches a predetermined floor, an upper electric pushrod pushes a pedal assembly out, and then the pedal assembly drives a pedal to rise by means of a pedal elevating system until the pedal is flush with the surface of a loading table of the elevating platform; outward-swinging doors between the elevating platform and a floor open to form pedal guardrails; then sliding doors open and a man can step onto a stair via the pedal assembly. An eccentric loading adjusting means eliminates eccentric loading to achieve balance about the center of gravity, thereby eliminating the eccentric loading of the platform. The elevating platform is simple in structure, safe, reliable, and easy to maintain.

  • Patent number: 10281015
Abstract: The invention is a corner rack with one front face that has teeth. A corner rack is a linear gear interface that can be placed in corners, such that the teeth face out from the corner at an angle, rather than running parallel with the walls. The teeth of the corner rack have a profile that can engage with the profile of a silent chain. The combination of the corner rack and silent chain allows an attached motor to be distanced from the corner rack, so that a lifting device driven by the corner rack and silent chain can be placed in and utilized in corners. This leads to increased versatility and efficiency.

Abstract: The invention is an elevator. The elevator is driven by a rack and a chain. The elevator also comprises a transportable frame, a floor, and an elevator shaft. The purpose of the invention is, by using a rack and chain lifting device to drive the elevator, to allow the elevator to be driven from the bottom. Driving the elevator from the bottom makes the structural integrity of the elevator box unnecessary, so that the elevator box can be replaced with an elevator box façade and a fabric door, making the elevator lighter and more economical. In addition, the design of the elevator allows for adjacent doors, battery power, and voice control.

Abstract: A pit platform (10) within a pit (11) located in a floor, having a deck (12) that can be raised and lowered by a lifting means (14) between a raised position in which the deck is substantially level with the floor and a second position in which the deck is beneath the level of the floor. The deck is supported by a plurality of cables (18) controlled by the lifting means to effect substantially vertical movement of the deck within the pit. A method of moving the deck between the raised and second positions is also described. The pit platform has particular application to a workshop, enabling workers standing on the platform to position themselves at a comfortable height below a vehicle that is being worked upon. In the raised position the platform provides a safety cover for the pit.

Abstract: An exemplary bearing cartridge assembly includes an inner sleeve. An outer housing is supported for rotation relative to the inner sleeve. A bearing member within the outer housing and received about the inner sleeve facilitates rotation of the outer housing relative to the inner sleeve. The bearing member has an axial dimension (e.g., a width) that is smaller than an axial inner dimension of the outer housing. The bearing member is positioned relative to the inner sleeve and the outer housing to provide a first lubricant space between one side wall of the outer housing and the bearing member and a second lubricant space between an opposite side wall of the outer housing and the bearing member. There is at least one through passage between the first and second lubricant spaces to allow lubricant to move between them.

Abstract: The invention relates to a conveyor system comprising a transport device (1) that can be moved along a substantially vertical path of travel and a linear motor comprising a primary part (2), arranged on said transport device (1), and a secondary part (3) arranged along the path of travel. The primary part (2) has a primary winding (4) and at least one permanent magnet, and the secondary part (3) has a profile in the direction of the path of travel, comprising alternately arranged grooves and teeth (6). In order to increase operational safety, a brake winding (7) is arranged on the secondary part (3) such that it can generate a braking force by interacting with the permanent magnet (5), to brake said transport device.

  • Patent number: 8196464
Abstract: Wear of a pump is estimated using a process that involves operating the pump to drive a hydraulic actuator that moves a member. The actual speed of the member is determined and the speed of the pump is sensed. Pressure of fluid conveyed from the pump to the hydraulic actuator also is sensed. A predicted speed of the member is calculated based on the speed of the pump and the pressure of the fluid. The predicted speed is compared to the actual speed and the result is employed to provide an indication of a degree of wear of the pump. The difference between the predicted speed and the actual speed increases as the pump wear increases.

Abstract: A system for positioning a load including a support column, a drive rail unit coupled to the support column, the drive rail unit moveable relative to the support column, a vertical carriage moveable along the support column, wherein the vertical carriage supports the load, an engagement member which engages the drive rail and which moves along the drive rail, and a motor which applies force to the engagement member, causing the engagement member to move along the drive rail. The motor is coupled to the vertical carriage so that, as the motor applies force to the engagement member, the vertical carriage moves relative to the drive rail unit, the vertical carriage is also moveable with the drive rail unit so that the vertical carriage and the drive rail unit move relative to the support column. A method of positioning a load is also provided.

Abstract: A pneumatic system with multiple air reservoirs is connected to the bellows of a load elevator. A plurality of valves enables the optional pneumatic connection of different combinations of reservoirs so as to change the range of operation of the elevator to meet the self-adjusting weight requirements of a particular job at hand. In the preferred embodiment, the air actuator is pneumatically connected to a main air reservoir, which in turn can optionally be coupled in series with one or two additional reservoirs of different capacities. As a result of this configuration of its pneumatic system, the elevator can be switched between and operated at three different load levels, at the convenience of the operator, without changing the amount of air in the system.
