For Plural Aprons Patents (Class 19/255)
  • Patent number: 7861434
Abstract: A post sleeve installation device includes a standing structure, a structure coupled to the standing structure and configured to support a post sleeve below the standing structure, and a mechanism configured to enable selective translation of the support structure in three axes and rotation around a vertical axis. Locks are provided to lock the post sleeve at a selected position and orientation relative to the standing structure. A beam extending from one installation device to another measures or controls the relative spacing, orientation, and elevation of associated post sleeves, and related data is collected for off-site manufacture of fence panels. Additionally, a repository is provided, to which the data is transmitted for retention, and from which the data can be retrieved for manufacture of replacement fence panels.

  • Publication number: 20090094793
Abstract: A drafting assembly for drafting a fibre web having upper and lower rear apron loops which have first and second support surfaces respectively being arranged to grip the card web fibres between them and transport the card web fibres from a rear entrance to a rear nip point on displacement of the rear aprons. Upper and lower front apron loops have third and fourth support surfaces, respectively, being arranged to grip the card web fibres between them and transport the card web fibres from a front nip point to an exit on displacement of the front aprons. The front and rear nip points are adjacent and arranged such that the front nip point receives card web fibres which exit the rear nip point. Proximate to the nip point, each loop is wedge shaped with the arms of the loop on each side of the nip point converging towards nip point and having an acute angle therebetween.

  • Patent number: 5335397
Abstract: In the case of a two-apron drafting unit for spinning machines, it is provided for the parallel alignment of the top apron cradle and of the pressure roller twin guided by it with respect to the pertaining bottom cylinder that the pressure roller holder arranged in the load carrier only takes over the function of providing the load and the lateral guiding. The parallel alignment of the apron cradle is caused by a preferably L-shaped stop against which the apron cradle will be placed. The shaft of the pressure roller twin is unguided in the radial direction in the pressure roller holder.

  • Patent number: 4907318
Abstract: An apron drafting system (A) is disclosed which includes upper and lower drafting aprons (10, 12) between which a sliver (S) is delivered. An upper fiber control plate (20) and a lower fiber control plate (22) contain the fiber contacting apron runs (10a, 12a) in fiber contacting relation by preventing loss of fiber control, particularly in the case of large fiber tuft deliveries. Opposing concave surfaces (20a, 22a) contain the inward deflections of the apron within a prescribed fiber control range. Preferably, side plates (30, 32) of the drafting system are transparent to provide a window through which fiber delivery may be detected. A sliver guide (52) is mounted on a removable shelf (50) so that accumulation of sliver between a nip (56) of top and bottom apron rolls (14, 18) does not break the sliver guide but pushes it rearward for disengagement.

  • Patent number: 4656695
Abstract: A drafting assembly whose lower belt is laterally guided by a guide element having a pair of side walls joined by a web and more unitarily from a synthetic resin. The web lies outside the loop of the lower belt and in the upper belt or adjacent the lower belt. The element is held against lateral movements by abutments which can be lateral flanks of the rollers or a guide element for the upper belt. The element is prevented from twisting or rotation by engagement with a stationary turnover rail over which the lower belt passes.

  • Patent number: 4520532
Abstract: The drafting mechanism comprises an entry roller pair, an intermediate roller pair and a delivery roller pair. An apron hair is mounted such that one of the two aprons projects deeper than the other into the converging space of the pair of delivery rollers, so that the fiber sliver is still diverted, and is thus guided, after the exit or delivery opening of the aprons, on the apron projecting more deeply into the converging space. Further, both aprons are guided sufficiently close to their related delivery roller such that the aprons do not contact these rollers but leave open a minimal air gap, so that only a minimal quantity of the circulating air produced by the rotating delivery rollers can penetrate into the converging space.

  • Patent number: 4326371
Abstract: In the combination of a textile yarn spinning machine, a traveling unit movable along the spinning machine for monitoring production of attenuated strands, and supply strand interruption mechanism responsive to the traveling unit, an improvement which comprises a wedge member movable relative to a back roll pair of a drafting unit between a normal running position withdrawn from a nip formed between the rolls and an interruption position of insertion into the nip, together with actuation mechanism mounted above and overlying the corresponding drafting unit.

  • Patent number: 4296528
Abstract: The drawing mechanism comprises a housing accommodating a feed couple defined by a pair of endless belts. One endless belt is mounted about a driving cylinder, and moves in engagement with a movable guide and transmits motion to the other belt running about the pressure roller of the feed couple and said other belt moves in engagement with a stationary guide, and the drawing mechanism also includes a delivery couple defined by its own driving cylinder and its own pressure roller. At the inlet of the feed couple there are mounted a guiding member and a compacting member adapted to precompact the fibrous product being fed into the feed couple. The pressure roller of the delivery couple and the pressure roller of the feed couple, the stationary guide of the feed couple, the compacting and guiding members are mounted on a common removable plate provided with an adjustable retainer means for retaining the common removable plate in its position.

  • Patent number: 4280252
Abstract: The double-apron drawing mechanism includes a feed couple of rollers and a delivery couple of rollers, with the fibrous material being treated passing between the two endless aprons or belts of the feed couple, synchronously rotated about the driven and pressure rollers. One endless apron engages a stationary guide extending longitudinally of the travel of the fibrous material, while the other endless apron engages a movable guide arranged adjacent to the area of exit of the fibrous material from the feed couple toward the delivery couple. The movable guide is mounted for infinite angular adjustment in vertical planes extending both transversely and longitudinally of the travel of the fibrous material, to provide for infinite adjustment of the gap between the endless aprons in the area of exit of the treated fibrous material from the feed couple.
