Patent number: 6082088Abstract: A cleaner for a roving apparatus which is free from an adverse effect caused by air flow blowing along an upper surface of a roller beam rearward of the roller beam, and which, after the fibers scraped from the bottom clearer cloth are collected to the rear of the roller beam, conveys the fibers to the end of an apparatus frame. The fibers, etc., adhered to the bottom clearer cloth are scraped by a scraper to fall onto a roller beam 1. The fallen fibers, etc., and the fiber waste which tends to be accumulated onto the upper surface of the roller beam are guided to a guide rail 25 by the action of air flow blowing from an air-blowing tube, to thereby accumulate on a bottom part 25a of the guide rail 25. The fibers, etc., are conveyed to the end of the guide rail 25 by a scraper 41 moving along the guide rail 25, and then collected in a dust box provided at the end of the apparatus frame. The bottom part 25a of the guide rail 25 is located lower than the upper surface of the roller beam 1.Type: GrantFiled: September 4, 1998Date of Patent: July 4, 2000Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha Toyoda Jidoshokki SeisakushoInventors: Masanori Ohoka, Katsumi Nakane

Patent number: 5940925Abstract: The invention concerns a cleaning lip for a rotating roll of a textile machine in a rolling mill (1) for processing fibrous materials wherein the cleaning lip (9) is comprised of a combined carrying device and a lip, the length (1) of the lip (11, 23) being limited by a wiping edge (AK, AK.sub.1), and the lip is composed of plastic. On the lip (11, 23) and in proximity to the carrying device, a groove (12, 24) is placed which runs parallel to said wiping edge (AK, AK.sub.1) of the lip. Alternatively, the cleaning lip can be installed for the clearing of wrapping, in that, upon the roll (14) reversing its direction from an original direction, then the wiping edge (AK, AK.sub.1) of the lip (11, 23) swings itself out of its original roll surface contact position. Upon a subsequent change of roll rotation back to the original direction, the wiping edge (AK, AK.sub.1) also swings itself back to its original wiping contact position.Type: GrantFiled: September 30, 1997Date of Patent: August 24, 1999Assignee: Rieter Ingolstadt Spinnereimaschinenbau AGInventors: Wolfgang Gohler, Alfred Nauthe

Patent number: 5293667Abstract: A clearer device for removing accumulated debris on a draft roller has a clearer pad member mounted in a support frame which pivots so as to permit the clearer pad member to come into and out of contact with the draft roller thereby allowing accumulated wastes to escape. A stopper plate is biased against the draft roller by the clearer pad member thus keeping the clearer pad member in contact with the draft roller. An elastic member protrudes from the support frame and contacts a rotating shaft which has a protrusion. The protrusion periodically engages the elastic member which pivots the support frame disengaging the clearer pad member from the draft roller and releasing accumulated wastes.Type: GrantFiled: July 7, 1992Date of Patent: March 15, 1994Inventor: Yoji Kitamura

Patent number: 4819302Abstract: A clearer mechanism for a draft roller, a clearer holder supporting a clearer member therein, and a suspensory member suspended from the draft roller and detachably supporting the clearer holder such that the clearer member is held against a working periphery of the draft roller. The mechanism further includes an actuating member or a restraining member projecting from either of the clearer holder and the suspensory member for displacing the actuating member or the restraining member to thereby reciprocally move the clearer holder along the working periphery of the draft roller.Type: GrantFiled: February 22, 1988Date of Patent: April 11, 1989Assignees: Kabushiki Kaisha Toyoda Jidoshokki Seisakusho, Kanpatsu Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Tatemi Fukuda, Yoshio Kawasaki, Masao Wakai, Kenji Negishi, Isao Ono, Isao Arita

Patent number: 4785507Abstract: A retainer frame supportiing pat type clearer members is arranged in opposed relation to a draft roller. The retainer frame is inserted at both longitudinal end portions thereof into insert grooves of supporting brackets mounted on roller stands or draft roller bearing members placed on the roller stands. The retainer frame is formed by folding a metal plate. Each of the clearer members is formed with stopper lugs at both side edges thereof. With this arrangement, each clearer member may be easily installed into the retainer frame, and a uniform projection of the clearer member from the retainer frame may be maintained.Type: GrantFiled: July 21, 1987Date of Patent: November 22, 1988Assignees: Kabushiki Kaisha Toyoda Jidoshokki Seisakusho, Kanpatsu Kogyo Kabishiki KaishaInventors: Tsutomu Miyazaki, Yoshio Kawasaki, Kenji Negishi, Masao Wakai, Isao Ono, Isao Arita
