Abstract: An adjustable size suitcase includes a main body having a top section, a middle section and a bottom section that define a hollow interior space. A telescopic handle extends upward from the main body and a plurality of omnidirectional wheels are positioned along the bottom end of the main body. A frame is positioned within the hollow interior space of the main body and includes an upper frame assembly, a middle frame assembly and a lower frame assembly. The upper frame assembly includes a plurality of vertical frame members that are slidingly engaged to complementary located lower vertical frame members to permit vertical movement of the upper frame assembly relative to the lower frame assembly. An actuator is mechanically linked to a plurality of latches positioned within the bottom ends of each upper vertical frame member to selectively transition the suitcase between a first, second and third size.

Abstract: This invention provides a laptop bag, which includes a shockproof front panel, a shockproof rear panel and a shockproof connecting panel which connects the shockproof front panel and the shockproof rear panel. The shockproof front panel, the shockproof rear panel and the shockproof connecting panel are enclosed to form a placement space for placing a laptop. The shockproof connecting panel is provided with an opening means for putting a laptop in the placement space or taking out the laptop from the placement space. The shockproof front panel, the shockproof rear panel and the shockproof connecting panel each is provided with a first shockproof layer, a plurality of protrusions made of a shockproof material are provided on the first shockproof layer. The laptop bag can achieve the purpose of protecting lateral surfaces of the laptop.

Abstract: A container for carrying a medical instrument such as an endoscope after use and before cleaning, comprises a perimeter wall having a height h and defining an enclosure with a diameter d. The perimeter wall is substantially rigid in the height dimension. A flexible base and a flexible cover are attached to the wall. The wall is compressible to a reduced diameter configuration for storage and expandable to an increased diameter configuration for use. The wall may comprise a series of adjacent panels foldable concertina-style to reduce the diameter.

An adjusting system is configured for adjusting the interior space. The adjusting system includes a first support device, a second supporting device, and a control input. The control input is configured to be operable to selectively pull the first and second supporting devices towards each other and push the first and second supporting devices away from each other. The control input and the first and second supporting devices include a connecting member connected therebetween. The connecting member interconnects the first and second supporting devices. The connecting member is flexible. The distance between the first and second supporting devices determines the volume of the interior space.

Abstract: A folding suitcase includes a back case component, a front lid component, a circumferential surface component, and a restoring component. Two opposite sides of the circumferential surface component are connected with the back case component and the front lid component, respectively, so as to form an accommodating space selectively. The circumferential surface component has multiple sidewall parts and multiple bending parts connected with the multiple sidewall parts. The multiple bending parts are bendable to lead the multiple sidewall parts to be capable of being folded oppositely or being erected on the back case component. The restoring component is located on at least one bending part. The restoring component is elastic for erecting the multiple sidewall parts.

Abstract: A golf bag comprises a bag body. A club protection cover capable of axially sliding along a golf bag mouth is disposed in the golf bag mouth at an upper end of the bag body. Abstract: Wheeled luggage having a telescopically expandable body is disclosed. The luggage body may be manually adjusted from a normally sized carry-on configuration during transit, to a vertically enlarged configuration once the final destination, such as a hotel room, is reached. The body further includes a plurality of interior horizontally disposed, vertically stacked shelves connected in accordion fashion to an internal liner so as to automatically expand from a compact configuration to an expanded configuration when the main body is telescopically expanded thereby providing a series of vertically spaced shelves which provide convenient access to the contents. A garment folding apparatus may be incorporated with the luggage to provide a tool that assists the user in quickly folding clothing to dimensions compatible with storage spaced within the luggage.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method and system for compressing and automatically expanding an expandable luggage case 2 comprising a ratchet mechanism 8 and a bungee cord 32, that is used to bias a locking mechanism, in the form of detents 54 that mate with teeth 44, in a locked position, and to bias a jack mechanism 14 for automatic expansion. The bungee cord 32 biases the ratchet compressor system 8 in an expanded state. Thus, automatic expansion is achieved, in a very easy to use manner. In addition to being operated while the luggage case 2 is open, the ratchet compressor 8 is also operable from the outside of the luggage case 2 once the luggage case 2 has been packed and closed. A user may then compress the luggage case 2 simply by applying pressure to the lid 24. The ratchet compressor system 8 therefore provides a zipper-less, automated method of expanding a luggage case 2 as well as compressing the luggage case 2 once the luggage case 2 has been closed.

A connecting frame (40) is mounted between each half-frame and an associated tray and is fitted with a channel (41) within which the tray is affixed by appropriate fasteners. Using the same central parts and connecting frames, a plurality of diverse suitcases or briefcases may be implemented using other trays such as soft trays and as a result manufacturing costs may be lowered.

Abstract: The present invention is drawn to a backpack structure, which structure allows a user to carry the backpack on his/her shoulders or, if desired, to transport the backpack in a wheeled fashion. The structure comprises a horizontally positioned base member which has a sliding front portion. An expandable and compressible backpack is mounted on the base member. In a retracted state, the base member and backpack are almost half their expanded size so that the structure may be conveniently stored in compact locations. Actuator mechanisms are conveniently located on the base member to allow a user to quickly and easily release the sliding portion and backpack for expansion. The sliding portion and backpack are easily pushed into a retracted position and are automatically locked therein.

The top portion and the bottom portion are positioned relative to each other such that the inside surface of each of the four top side walls faces the outside surface of a corresponding bottom side wall.

Abstract: A carrying case has an elongated housing having a central and two end housing structures in overlapping, telescoping relationship so that the length of the carrying case can be adjusted. Hinges are connected to each housing with the hinge axes aligned so that the housings can be jointly rotated between open and closed positions without twisting the housing structures. Hinge alignment is possible by making the leaves of some hinges radially longer than the leaves of other hinges. Interengaging, load-bearing bosses are provided on the housing structures for adjustability to the length of the carrying case while providing strong connections, making it possible to use light weight material. Ribs and buttresses are molded as unitary parts of the central element and have an interengaging feature for reinforcement.

Abstract: A handle or pull link for a trunk includes: a main pull link, an extension tube, an outer tube, a controller and a ratchet rack. Each end of the main pull link includes a square groove. The extension tube constitutes a square hollow post and has a link therein. The outer tube also constitutes a square hollow post. The controller includes a fixing seat, an engagement tooth and a control plate. Square grooves of both the extension tube and the main link engage each other with an adjusting rod penetrating through the extension tube parallel to the pull link by means of vertical square holes on each side so as to be movable up and down. The controller is fitted to the end of the extension tube with the link bar in the extension tube being connected to the adjusting rod and controller, while the extension tube is slidably fitted to the outer tube.

Two catches are slidably engaged in the blocks. Two bars are slidably engaged in the catches and the blocks and coupled to the hand grip. The catches are forced to engage with the teeth when the hand grip is not pulled and are disengaged from the teeth so as to release tubes from the pipes when the hand grip is released.

The handle is positioned along a length of the outer sleeve so that a hand may be clasped around the handle on the exact center of gravity of the loaded carrying case regardless of the length of object placed within the case. Abstract: An item of expandable luggage comprises top and bottom walls and side walls extending between the top and bottom walls to form an enclosed space, the side walls being composed of a top section, a bottom section and an intermediate section and each such section extending continuously along the walls coextensively with the perimeters of the top and bottom walls. The top and bottom sections are U-shaped in cross-section throughout their extents to form a pocket between a pair of wall parts and are oriented with the openings of the pockets facing each other. The intermediate section is received telescopically between the wall parts in sliding relation. Latches retain the top and bottom wall sections in at least two selected spacial relationships relative to each other.

Abstract: A sports duffle bag has a canvas, plastic, or leather, top opening tubular body, with a sidewall open top pocket closed by a slide fastener, and sized to snugly receive the head of a tennis racket. An opening at a top corner of the pocket permits the racket handle to project from the pocket. An expansion panel is secured in the mouth of the pocket and has two flaps connected by a slide fastener so that in the open position the flaps hang in the pocket alongside the head of the racket and in the closed position the flaps are pulled above the pocket and closed over a racket head extending above the pocket thus increasing the height of the pocket for accommodating oversized rackets.

Abstract: A piece of luggage is disclosed which consists of a case in the shape of a flat parallelepiped comprising two greater rigid lateral walls and a rigid quadrangular frame with an upper side provided with a curved handle, a base side and end sides. At least one of its lateral walls is movable, being provided with a rigid perimetral edge which slides telescopically within the frame. Displacement of this lateral wall occurs in a direction perpendicular to its plane between a retracted position in which it is located in the plane of the corresponding edge of the frame and a projecting position. The result is that the internal volume of the case is increased.

Abstract: Disclosed is a ski cover that is configured for rapid and simple coverage of a ski or pair of skis and readily adaptable to cover skis of various lengths. Cover (10) comprises an elongate first sleeve (12) having a closed end (22) and an open end (24). The first sleeve is adapted to slide over one end of a ski (16) such that the closed end of the sleeve is adjacent the tip (44) of the ski. Also included is an elongate second sleeve (14) having a closed end (32) and an open end (34). The second sleeve is similarly adapted to slide over the other end of the ski such that its closed end is adjacent the heel (46) of the ski. A portion of the open end of one sleeve is overlapped by a portion of the open end of the other sleeve when the first and second sleeves are slid over the respective ends of the ski. A closeable slit (48) is incorporated into the overlapped sleeve in order to facilitate positioning the two sleeves in the overlapping arrangement.

Abstract: A variable volume carrying case of diverse utility includes hinged companion sections each having relatively movable telescoping portions whereby each case section can be expanded or reduced in size. An independent push-pull cable drive system for the expansion and reduction of each case section includes a rotary manual drive device having a connection with each push-pull cable of the system.
