The intension of the electrical signal is corresponding to the intension of the pressure. The transmission unit is electrically connected to the pressure sensor, and transmits the electrical signal into a corresponding weight value. The display module is electrically connected to the transmission unit for display the weight value.
Abstract: Luggage cases of the soft-side construction are perceived to be lighter than hard-side cases. However, many rigidifying elements in soft-side cases tend to add to the weight of a soft-side luggage case. This reduces its weight advantage over molded shell luggage cases. Using a textile body in the luggage case to form both the grip of a carry handle and a portion of the outer surface of the luggage helps reduce the weight of the luggage. The textile body may be attached to a thin resilient wire hoop to resist distortion of the luggage case when is it lifted by the handle. This construction saves weight in comparison to conventional luggage case constructions.

Abstract: Vacuum-shrinkable luggage is disclosed for compactly enclosing and transporting at least one item enclosed therein, and a method of assembling same. The luggage compresses the at least one item enclosed therein such that the size of the luggage decreases. The luggage defines a compartment therein for containing the item. Collapsible panels forming walls of the luggage are made from a material that prevents air seepage through the panels. Seals are provided to prevent air seepage around edges of the panels. A vacuum source in air communication with the compartment establishes low air pressure within the compartment. The vacuum source causes the walls of the luggage to shrink and/or move inwardly so as to compress or compact the item, also reducing the size of the luggage.

Abstract: Suitcases with internal load determination devices determine the weight of a suitcase without requiring the user to lift the loaded suitcase. A sensor grid suspended within the interior of the suitcase's bottom is attached to sensors. When a load is placed on the sensor grid, the force exerted by the sensor grid on the sensors is measured and communicated to a CPU. The CPU calculates the weight of the load and displays it to the user on an electronic display. An on/off switch toggles the display between showing the net weight of the load and the gross weight of the loaded suitcase, as well as controlling the flow of electricity from a battery to the CPU, display, and sensors. The suitcase has a handle that extends over the display, feet, wheels, and latches. A method for using the suitcase with internal load determination device is also disclosed.
