Abstract: A utility bag which is generally rectangular in shape and sized to fit into an athletic locker or under the seat of an airplane.

Abstract: The suitcase structure comprises a substantially parallelepipedal, flattened elongate body defining at a smaller lateral face thereof a recess provided on the bottom with a handgrip for carrying the suitcase. At the larger faces of the body there are provided openable side bodies defining on their interiors compartments, provided at the top with hanger holding rods for hanging clothes hangers thereon.

Abstract: A front cover with a pocket for a carrying case comprising a backing sheet with an array of panel sections and a pocket overlapping the edges of the panels and the exposed area of the backing sheet such that the pocket is a single thickness of skin material. Gussets are made along the longitudinal sides of the pocket so that it extends outwardly on the front cover. Securement of the pocket and panel sections onto the backing sheet is done by sewing and including the panels and pocket into the welt around the outer peripheral edge of the front cover.

Abstract: Microphones having attached electrical cords are stored for transport in a carrying case by providing separate mutually isolated compartments for the cords to avoid inter-tangling of the cords. The microphones are engaged in spaced parallel relation on the carrying case lid with individual cord-storage compartments disposed to receive respective power cords. The engagement structure and compartments may be a permanent part of the carrying case, or may be an insert adapted to be selectively removable from the case. A novel engagement clip is fabricated from hard resilient plastic material and permits insertion of the microphone handle therein from the side of the clip so as to provide a barrier forwardly of the microphone that prevents the microphone from becoming disengaged as the case is opened and closed.

Abstract: The carrying case disclosed is of the attache-case variety. It includes a tray (3)located under the lid (2) of the case. The tray overlies, and closes, the compartment (14) in the body (1) of the case when the lid of case is un-zipped and raised. The tray (3) can be used as a writing tablet (7). The tray (3) includes a flap (8) that is hinge-able relative to the remainder (7) of the tray. The flap (8) can be raised to allow restricted access to the compartment (14). Alternatively, the whole tray (3) can be raised to permit wide-open access to the compartment (14). The lid (2) of the case is provided with a corresponding hinged flap (21). The tray (3) rests on top of the inner frame (5) of the body (1) of the case.

Abstract: A portable suitcase-like receptacle has two tray-shaped sections which are pivotally connected to each other and whose bottom walls are in the form of light-transmitting panels each of which has an outer portion welded to the sidewalls and two inner portions. One inner portion defines with the outer portion a pocket, and the other inner portion has a flap which can overlie or can be inserted into the pocket.

Abstract: A combined golf bag and equipment carrier is disclosed and comprises a generally cylindrical golf bag and an elongated box-like container into which the golf bag can be fitted lengthwise at a level above the bottom of the container to provide storage space in the container. The combined golf bag and equipment carrier further comprises a covering for securing the golf bag in the container and a strap attached to the covering for carrying the golf bag and container. The strap can also be used as a shoulder strap for the golf bag.

Abstract: A carrying case such as an attache case or the like, in which one of its panels is foldable to provide access to its interior without having to open the entire panel. A clamp means secured to the side of the case swivels between two positions, one to hold the panel rigid and prevent it from folding, and the other to hold one portion of the panel closed and permit the other portion to fold open. The carrying case according to the present invention permits access to the interior of the case without having to open the case entirely, thereby significantly increasing its versatility over a standard carrying case.

Abstract: A cloth bag having the property of maintaining a sustained open-bag configuration once opened and the sides arranged vertically comprising a flat base, a pair of flexible yet retentive side panels and a pair of supple end panels attached to the base, a flexible yet retentive divider panel attached to the end panels and base to divide the bag into two large compartments, closure means, such as a zipper, to join the side panels together along their top edges and fold back and join the end panel top edges onto themselves to form exterior flaps that are folded down and attached to the end flap near the base and a handle for carrying same.

Abstract: A carrying case adapted to conveniently contain writing materials. A carrying case has a lower portion having inwardly facing surfaces that define an upwardly opening file chamber having a lower portion rim. An upper portion has inwardly facing surfaces that define a storage chamber having an upper portion rim. A panel is adapted to move between a closed position and an open position to selectively close and open the storage chamber. Means are provided for removably fastening the upper portion rim to the lower portion rim to thereby close the file chamber.

Abstract: A portable desk of the kind having an exterior working or writing surface and internal compartments for storing writing or work-related items. The desk is useful in support of the activities of traveling business persons such as sales, engineering, and management personnel over and above such desk now known in the trade. The desk having structure to hold important items required by traveling business persons in easily accessible compartments and in a manner such that the items cannot fall out or migrate between compartments when the desk is being carried or shipped. The desk having a two-section cover, the sections being respectively arranged to be pivoted upward to provide access to the whole of the interior or to a part of the interior.

Abstract: A carrying case of the type having its bottom and sidewalls formed of a U-shaped unitary member is provided which employs a structural frame made of a plurality of rigid members which are secured to one another by rivets. The frame includes upper and lower pairs of metal bars extending generally horizontally on opposite sides of the case between generally rectangular end shells which may have U-shaped metal guards disposed on their sides and bottoms. The bars are preferably made of spring steel so that they may return to their original shapes after being distorted by overloading of the case. The end shells may have integral nodes formed on them to partially shield exposed ends of the U-shaped guards.

Abstract: The crossbow carrying case includes opposed based and cover sections having a generally triangular shape and interconnected along one edge to permit movement of the cover section between an open position and a closed position wherein the cover and base sections are in facing relationship and cooperate to define a compartment for receiving an assembled crossbow ready for use. When in the closed position, the base and cover sections are releasably fastened together along the other two edges by a zipper or the like. The crossbow is releasably held in place inside the compartment by a pair of longitudinally spaced tie down straps secured to the inner surface of the base section at locations corresponding to the narrowed hand grip portion of the crossbow stock and the area immediately forward of the forehand grip of the crossbow stock.

Abstract: A bag which has a cover member for shoes and other items. The cover member is placed on or fixed to the bottom part of the bag proper and comprises a bottom sheet and cover cloth which is of the same width as the bottom sheet and of the length long enough to cover shoes and other items. The cover cloth has fastening members to engage with corresponding fastening members provided at the bottom sheet, an other cover cloth and the inner side surface of the bag proper so as to ensure perfect covering.

Abstract: A multiple compartment suitcase defining an interior region has parallel rectangular panels, an interior side wall defined by coextensive spaced apart sides normal to the panels, a rectangular base parallel to a rectangular top and normal to the base. Intermediate the panels, a pad dividing the interior space into two compartments and a pad encompassing skirt is joined to the interior side walls. The skirt has a width greater than the normal distance from the pad extremities to the side wall. The pad is movable from a first position providing approximately similar volume compartments, to a second position in which the pad is substantially flush with the one of the panels to enable nesting of similar, yet smaller suitcases therein.

Abstract: A portfolio for an attache case or the like includes a front panel assembly defined by a portfolio frame and a backing panel. The portfolio frame is preferably formed from a single piece of molded material, such as plastic, having flexible but semirigid characteristics. A peripheral margin structure of the portfolio frame defines an interior opening through the frame, and the backing panel covers the interior opening. Article retention means extend from the peripheral margin structure into the interior opening. The article retention means cooperate with the backing panel to retain articles therebetween. The backing panel is attached to the portfolio frame preferably by ultrasonically deforming projections from the frame over openings in the panel. A pocket structure of the portfolio is preferably sewn to rearward extending skirt portions of the peripheral margin structure of the frame.

Abstract: The invention is for an instrument carrying case comprising an open-topped box, a lid having a substantially planar panel for covering the top of the box, and a flexible hinge joining the rear edge of the lid to the top edge of the rear wall of the box such that the lid is movable through an angle of about 270.degree. from a position at which its panel covers the box to an "inside-out" position for the lid at which such panel is adjacent and substantially parallel to the outside of the rear wall of the box, and in which the normally forward part of the lid projects laterally beyond the bottom of the box. The case further comprises a fastening means for securing the box and the lid together when the latter is in such inside-out position.

Abstract: A three compartment travel bag as three innerconnected sections forming the compartments. The connection between sections is a flexible hinge-like arrangement so that the sections can be folded out from a stacked relationship in which all compartments are accessible from above. The flexible carrying strap is loosely connected with certain section sidewalls in order to permit the necessary movement of the sections relative to one another during the stretching out manipulation and refolding into the stacked condition.
