The latch mechanism includes a latch receiving portion configured to be hooked. The handle includes a handle receiving portion configured to be hooked. The locking mechanism includes a locking member hooking the latch receiving portion and the handle receiving portion. In a locked state, the latch receiving portion and the handle receiving portion are arranged in one direction.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a rolling suitcase that is pulled depthwise rather than breadthwise, and incorporates a split handle that separates when the suitcase is to be opened. The split handle may incorporate a locking mechanism that includes a mechanical, magnetic, or other connector for locking and releasing the split handle halves. The suitcase maximizes internal volume by the use of inset wheels and handle extensions, and also provides for protections against many common types of breakage.

Abstract: The present invention relates to improvements for shopping and merchandise bags with integral handles. Disclosed is a bag with integral handles and closure elements located below the integral handles. Further disclosed is a process for manufacturing a reclosable bag with integral handles. The handles and bag may be formed from a wave-cut polymeric tube. In addition, the handles of the bag may be formed from a wave-cut polymeric tube while the body of the bag is formed from a side-gusseted polymeric tube. The disclosed bags and methods to make such bags provide cost effective solutions for providing reclosable bags with integral handles.

Abstract: A composite luggage protection assembly is structured to protect a piece of luggage during transit, stowage, and/or storage, and includes a piece of luggage having a luggage protection assembly mounted thereto. The luggage protection assembly includes an external closure assembly structured and disposed to overlay at least a portion of a primary closure mechanism which maintains a cover of the luggage piece in a closed orientation, thereby restricting access into the piece of luggage and, more importantly, preventing access to the person's personal property therein. The luggage piece of the composite luggage assembly may include a mobile luggage piece, once again, having a luggage protection assembly operatively attached thereto.

Abstract: This invention relates to an expandable item of luggage. This enables a luggage item to be expanded to accommodate an increased volume of luggage. The luggage item is defined by a base, front, back, side and top portion. The base and top portions are spaced in a longitudinal axis and define a storage zone therebetween. The luggage item further comprises an expansion arrangement configured to enable expansion of the top portion independently of the front portion in the longitudinal axis between a retracted and expanded configuration to cause an effective increase in the volume of the storage zone.

Abstract: A carrying case for a portable electronic device includes an inner compartment having a front panel and a side panel extending peripherally around the front panel to define a hollow interior. A pivotal flap extending across width of the front panel is formed as an upper part of the front panel connected thereto through a living hinge. Thus, the base unit may be compact and easily transported in a storage position; however, the platform and the table when extended may provide an ample work surface at a traditional working height. Each coupling (50) is actuated, pulling the tubes (1, 11) together and joining them through use of specialized clutch teeth (3, 7) under compression provided by a threaded lug (2), a removeable-shoulder lug (9) with a removeable shoulder (4) and a threaded coupling nut (5).

The basic embodiment and the other two embodiments disclosed herein are substantially identical.
