  • Patent number: 5540042
Abstract: The spinning rotor of an open-end spinning device is supported by means of a rotor shaft in the nip of at least one pair of supporting disks and can be driven by means of a tangential belt. A change-over device with a pressure roller is provided to press the tangential belt against the rotor shaft and a rotor brake which can be brought into action alternatively is provided. The change-over device is connected to a control lever which can be controlled as a function of the position of an actuator connected to a spinning station cover. The control lever is provided with an actuating arm. By opening the spinning station cover completely, a sufficient clearance can be produced between the actuator and the control lever so that the rotor brake can be deactivated through action exerted on the actuating arm of the control lever by means of the change-over lever on the one hand without allowing on the other hand the pressure roller to be yet actuated.

  • Patent number: 4882975
Abstract: A parking maintaining apparatus includes a solenoid-operated open/close valve which opens or closes a constant pressure passage providing a communication between a valve mechanism and a constant pressure chamber of a brake booster. A relief valve is provided which relieves a pressure within the constant pressure passage into the constant pressure chamber when such pressure exceeds a given value. The provision of the relief valve allows the pressure within a variable pressure chamber to be maintained at or below the given value through the valve mechanism under a parking maintaining condition, whereby the pressure within the variable pressure chamber can be rapidly displaced as the parking maintaining condition is to be terminated, thus eliminating a partly braked condition.

  • Patent number: 4106607
Abstract: An enclosure, for example, a safety enclosure around noisy or potentially dangerous machinery, includes a door which, when opened, stops the operation of the machine to prevent injury to personnel who may examine or maintain the machine. A pneumatic safety system for the door includes, in series, a source of compressed air, an air regulator valve, a series of disconnectable air connectors and a transducer, such as an air pressure limit switch, which converts a decrease in air pressure into a control signal to stop the operation of the machine. One air connector member is mounted on the door and another on the door frame, so that they are automatically disconnected when the door is opened, thereby opening the pneumatic line and causing the air pressure to decrease. The connector members each have a flat face which meet in a flush relationship, one connector member having a round orifice and the other connector member having a multi-slotted orifice which leads to an internal air cavity.
