Axially Spaced Coaxial Clutch-assemblages Patents (Class 192/48.606)
  • Patent number: 8997959
Abstract: Clutch arrangement for a motor vehicle gearbox. The clutch arrangement has a housing and a clutch. The clutch is arranged in the housing and is arranged concentrically with a shaft, which extends in a longitudinal axis. The shaft is supported on the housing by means of a first shaft bearing adjacent to the clutch and by means of a second shaft bearing spaced at an axial distance from the clutch. The clutch arrangement has an actuator arrangement for actuating the clutch. The actuator arrangement is designed to exert an actuating force on the clutch in a first longitudinal direction. The actuator arrangement here being axially braced on the housing and a force flux being introduced into the shaft as a result of the actuating force. The first shaft bearing is arranged so that the force flux introduced into the shaft can be axially braced on the housing by way of the first shaft bearing.

  • Patent number: 8991579
Abstract: A clutch device includes a first clutch, a second clutch, a diaphragm spring and an intermediate spring. The diaphragm spring transmits a pressing force to the first clutch and the second clutch. The intermediate spring applies a coupling maintaining force to the first clutch and the second clutch so that minimally power transmitted states of the first clutch and the second clutch are maintained while a pressing force is not being applied to the first clutch and the second clutch.

  • Patent number: 8905209
Abstract: A dual clutch for coupling an engine-side input shaft with a first and/or second transmission-side output shaft includes a first clutch which has a first pressure plate that is axially mobile relative to a first counter plate for coupling with a first clutch disk connected to the first output shaft, and a second clutch having a second pressure plate for coupling with a second clutch disk connected to the second output shaft, the second pressure plate being axially mobile relative to a second counter-plate. An actuating device displaces the first and/or second pressure plate, and a spring element is connected to the actuating device and a transmission housing, the spring element being axially resilient. Both the actuating device and the first counter-plate are radially supported mobile in the axial direction. The axial mobility of the dual clutch allows a simple assembly even with components that have work tolerance-related finishing inaccuracies.

  • Patent number: 8887886
Abstract: Pressures of left and right clutch pistons (55, 63) applied to left and right disk portions (42b, 42d) of a common clutch outer (42) of left and right clutches (29, 30) distributing drive force of an input shaft (20) to left and right output shafts (23, 24) are, finally, transmitted to and supported by a side housing (12) through a boss portion (42a) of the clutch outer (42) and a thrust bearing (53, 52, 48; 41, 27). Accordingly, the left and right clutches (29, 30) can be engaged with no problem. Even when the pressures of the clutch pistons (55, 63) deform the left and right disk portions (42b, 42d) of the clutch outer (42), the gap (?) formed therebetween prevents the transmission of the pressure of one of the clutches (29, 30) to the other clutch (29, 30). Accordingly, the interference between the operations of the left and right clutches (29, 30) is prevented.

  • Patent number: 8662273
Abstract: A dual clutch for coupling an engine-side input shaft with a first transmission-side and/or a second transmission-side output shaft. A first clutch has a first pressure plate, which is axially mobile relative to a first counter plate, for coupling with a first clutch disk connected to the first output shaft. A second clutch has a second pressure plate, which is axially mobile relative to a second counter plate, for coupling with a clutch disk connected to the second output shaft. A clutch cover is connected to the first and second counter plates. An actuator displaces the first and/or the second pressure plate. The actuator is radially supported on the input side on the input shaft by the clutch cover and a torsional vibration damper, which is connected to the clutch cover and is radially mounted on the output side on one of the output shafts and/or on a transmission housing.
