Abstract: A power transmission device for a vehicle includes a first power transmission path that is provided between an engine and a driving wheel, a second power transmission path that is provided in parallel with the first power transmission path, and an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit changes over a secondary clutch to a one-way mode while releasing a first clutch, when a request is made to change over a power transmission path between the engine and the driving wheel from the first power transmission path to the second power transmission path at a time of a predetermined state. The electronic control unit is configured to engage a second clutch when the secondary clutch is changed over to the one-way mode.

Abstract: A clutch comprises an input pinion and an output pinion associated with a rotatable locking member that has a surface inclined with respect to an axis of rotation of the locking member. The surface cooperates with an engagement member, and the locking member is movable between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the surface forms a recess to receive the engagement member, and in the second position, the surface forms a projection to force the engagement member into abutment with the input pinion to establish a driveable connection between the input pinion and the output pinion.

Abstract: Capping head assemblies that are useful for applying pre-threaded closures onto containers with improved sensitivity. The novel features of the devices are a simple and novel means of adjusting the torque in a magnetic clutch assembly. In addition, the advantage of preventing contamination by water and other liquids during the filling and capping of liquid containers, and further, have the capability of being greased without having to disassemble the device. In addition, these can be accomplished without changing the capability of being able to read the adjustment scales on the outside surface of the magnetic clutch assembly and the adjustment scales on the outside surface of the upper spring assembly for adjusting the tension in the spring.
Abstract: A method for controlling the safety mode of a four-wheel drive to control the magnetic clutch at a safety mode duty to reduce overload for a predetermined period of time when the slip of the magnetic clutch is greater than an allowable slip, despite controlling the magnetic clutch at its maximum duty.
Abstract: An all terrain vehicle comprising a V-belt continuously variable transmission and a gear-type transmission, being capable of transmitting drive torque from an engine with controlled engine braking but without loss of the torque, thereby giving a rider an improved driving feel. The V-belt continuously variable transmission and the gear-type transmission are placed in this order from upstream in a power transmission path from the engine to wheels. A one-way clutch for transmitting only the drive torque from the engine to the wheel and a torque limiter for transmitting the torque less than a predetermined value are arranged in parallel, between, e.g., a countershaft and forward intermediate gears fitted onto the countershaft.
Abstract: An overload protection arrangement for a portable power tool includes a magnetic clutch (5) arranged in a drive train of the power tool between an electromotor (1) and a tool chuck (3), control electronics (6) for controlling the magnetic clutch (5), a self-actuated torque-dependent overload clutch (7) likewise arranged in the drive train, and a sensor (8) for detecting an open condition of the overload clutch (7) upon the overload of the drive train and connected with the control electronics (6).
Abstract: A disconnect device is provided in which input and output elements 2 and 4 axially overlap and are drivingly interconnected by balls 14 which extend from a recess the radially innermost element into a channel in the radially outermost element. The balls are held in position by a keeper 16 which is axially movable to release the balls and disconnect the drive.
Abstract: A walk behind self-propelled crawler has a travel ready lever mounted to one of the left and right handlebars and adapted to be gripped by a human operator to place the electric motors in an operative condition, and a clutch control pushbutton switch disposed on the control board at a position close to the other handlebar, the clutch control pushbutton switch being adapted to be manually operated to actuate the electromagnetic clutch.
