    Abstract: A case feeder mechanism, used in quantities of two or more in a horizontal magazine, feeds cases to a removal position at the discharge end of the magazine, for extracting and processing by a case erecting machine. Each mechanism has two U-shaped channels, a sliding ratchet pawl channel and a fixed ratchet pawl channel, each containing a row of ratchet pawls. Each sliding ratchet pawl channel pushes the ratchet pawls against the back of the case group, driving the group towards the removal position. Individual sensing valves determine when the lead case is in the removal position and control each sliding ratchet pawl channel independently. Each fixed ratchet pawl channel holds the ratchet pawls in position, supporting the case group during resetting of the sliding ratchet pawl channel. To reload, cases are simply inserted, preferably in bundles, behind the existing case group.

    Abstract: A pusher device for pushing plate-form articles such as lead frames including a pusher for feeding out a lead frame, a pusher supporting plate rotatably holding the pusher and having a stopper section that regulates the rotation of the pusher so as to bring a pushing section of the pusher to a lowest position, a coil spring which urges the pusher toward the stopper section of the pusher supporting plate, a cylinder which reciprocates the pusher supporting plate, and a spring-up operation plate which, cooperative with the stopper section of the pusher supporting plate, defines the rotational movement of the pusher. Thus, the pusher is withdrawn from an area into which the lead frame is transferred and then takes a posture to feed the lead frame to, for example, a bonding machine.

When a lead frame is brought into the magazine, the claw mover moves towards the magazine, and this releases an engagement of the pusher claw with a stopper; as a result, the pusher claw swings down (by its own weight) so that the tip end of the push claw comes into contact with the trailing edge of the lead frame so that the pusher claw pushes the lead frame completely into the magazine.

A cylinder drive, is pivotally secured on one end to the main mount rail, and on an opposite end thereof to the frame. A control provides for alternate extension and retraction of the cylinder to provide for a back and forth ratcheting motion of the main mount rail with respect to the central support. The double pivot mounting of the drive cylinder provides for converting the linear motion thereof to the radial motion of the main mount rail relative to the central mount rail support.

    Abstract: A conveyer for moving elements along a pan is disclosed. The conveyer uses a pivotally-mounted scoop carried by a trolley which rides on a track running beside the pan. When moving in the forward direction, the scoop is pivotally rotated to engage the bottom of the pan and move the articles along the pan. When moving in the reverse direction, the scoop is rotated so that it does not engage the bottom of the pan to allow it to move rearwardly whereupon another forward motion occurs. At the upper end of the pan, the track moves at an increased angle to cause the scoop to pivot into a position whereby the articles are more efficiently pushed over the edge of the pan.

Such a gate can also include a pair of wedge-shaped runners for initially orienting the gate at a slight angle to the truck bed so that a portion of the load of granular material is forced under the gate to lift it to its raised position as movement toward the rear of the truck is initiated.

The shuttle carriage picks up a product carrier by engagement of a drive dog with the carrier to propel the carriage and carrier in unison to an operating station along tracks in parallelism with the axis of the shaft.
