  • Patent number: 8944243
Abstract: A belt tracking system for controlling the lateral position of a movable belt entrained about a plurality of generally parallel rollers for moving in a trans-axial direction perpendicular to an axial direction in which the rollers extend parallel to each other includes a roller shaft, a stationary member, a slidable member, and a biasing mechanism. The roller shaft extends outward in the axial direction from an axial end of a specific one of the plurality of generally parallel rollers. The stationary member is fixed in position adjacent to the roller shaft to define a first interfacial surface therealong. The slidable member is co-movably coupled with the roller shaft to define a second interfacial surface therealong inclined relative to the axial direction. The biasing mechanism is connected to the roller shaft to press the slidable member against the stationary member.

Abstract: A belt skew correcting device corrects a deviation of an endless belt which is supported by a plurality of rollers and which is driven to rotate around the plurality of rollers. An inclined sectional surface of a dislocating member is guided by an inclined sectional surface of a guide member in accordance with a following movement of a following member, so that a rotational shaft of one roller is given a tilt corresponding to an amount of the movement of the endless belt along the rotational shaft, and thereby the one roller can be tiled.

  • Patent number: 8086156
Abstract: An endless belt member is suspended in a tensioned manner by a plurality of roller members including a drive roller and a drive motor drives the drive roller member so as to move the belt member in a predetermined direction of travel. A detecting unit detects an amount of displacement of the belt member in a widthwise direction of the belt member, and a correction unit that corrects displacement of the belt member in the widthwise direction. The correction unit corrects the displacement of the belt member in a widthwise direction based on data sampled by the detecting unit every time a drive signal is input to the drive motor a prescribed number of times.

  • Publication number: 20110272250
Abstract: A conveyor belt tracking apparatus is provided for correcting the travel path of a laterally mistracking conveyor belt. In one form, an elongate tracking roller is rotatably mounted at end portions thereof to a pivotal support frame and extends across and below the belt. The pivotal support frame is mounted to a downstream pivot member so that belt mistracking toward one end portion of the tracking roller causes the one end portion to shift downstream and laterally outwardly to urge the belt toward the correct travel path. In one approach a downstream pivot connection between the pivot member and pivotal support frame is inclined upstream so that the end portion also shifts upwardly as it shifts downstream to urge the mistracking belt edge toward the correct travel path.

  • Patent number: 7882946
Abstract: A guide arrangement (1) for guiding webs in evacuatable web treatment installations comprises at least one guide roller (2) with an axis (5), whose spatial position is settable. To solve the problem of compensating in modular installations with several chambers either misalignments of the chambers relative to one another and/or to avoid completely adjustable roller frames, whose adjustment would require the repositioning of treatment and coating sources and of separating gaps on the circumference of coating rollers, the invention proposes that the guide roller (2) is supported between two pivot bearings (11, 12), of which at least one is adjustable relative to the other transversely to the axis (5). This is preferably carried out thereby that the adjustable pivot bearing (12) comprises a slide guide (15), fastened to a chamber wall (14), on which a slide (16) with the pivot bearing (12) is guided, and that the adjustable pivot bearing (12) comprises a remotely operated adjustment drive (21).
