  • Patent number: 10472175
Abstract: Conveying equipment includes carriages having a frame with front and rear ends coupled to adjacent carriages by vertical support shafts and having a floor board which is supported by the frame. A floor board main portion has a protruding arc-shaped end edge concentric with one of the vertical support shafts and a floor board sub-portion which has a recessed arc-shaped end edge concentric with the other vertical support shaft. The protruding arc-shaped end edge in one carriage and the recessed arc-shaped end edge in an adjacent carriage are relatively rotatable around the common vertical support shaft located at the arc centers of each of the edges. The floor board main portion overhangs from one end of the frame in each of the carriages and is supported on an overhanging portion which overhangs from the floor board sub-portion in the adjacent carriage so as to be freely relatively rotated.

The conveyor belt can be any type of conveyor belt, such as a grid-type or flat-wire conveyor belt. The wear component is attached by mechanical or other means to allow its removal after a certain wear limit has been achieved. A new component can be installed to bring the conveyor belt to nearly new condition. This will extend belt life because only the wear component needs to be replaced, rather than the entire belt.

  • Patent number: 8851271
Abstract: Conveyor belts are made from modular links having offset forward and rearward projecting eye parts to intercalate eye parts from one belt link between eye parts with oval lateral apertures. Connecting rods inserted through aligned apertures hingedly connect adjacent links. Clips restrict lateral turning of the belt links. Clips have general U-shapes with two legs, a bridge portion end, and opposite free ends. Projecting members at the free ends have lengths parallel to the legs and smaller than the lengths of the apertures in the belt links in which the clip is to be installed, and have heights equivalent to or smaller than the heights of the aperture in the belt link in which the clip is to be installed. The lateral distance between the two legs of the U, is larger than the lateral extent of an eye part in the belt link in which the clip is installed.

  • Patent number: 8678178
Abstract: A modular plastic conveyor belt is designed to turn a tight radius in one direction only. Particularly it is designed for use as a spiral conveyor belt, the belt can turn in the opposite direction, but with a much larger radius. At the outer edge of the belt, the link ends or knuckles are larger and heavier for increased strength in accepting tension at the outer edge of the belt. The outside knuckles or link ends are not only wider than at the inside, but they also are longer, with increased material beyond the rod opening for increased tension strength. By having wider link members at the inner edge, the belt can collapse more closely at the inner edge than would be possible if the turn were in the other direction, providing a tighter radius of turn. This is useful in spiral conveyors which ordinarily turn in only one direction through the entire path of travel.
