A first connection housing is integrally formed to the first end and a second connection housing is integrally formed to the second end of the elongate body member. The first connection housing and the second connection housing include an interior volume having an opening providing access thereto. A first receiving stud member is disposed in the first connection housing. A second receiving stud member is disposed in the second connection housing. A first connection member is configured to mateably secure to the first receiving stud member. A second connection member is configured to mateably secure to the second receiving stud member.

Abstract: A disposable face shield with a shield with a plurality of cuts is described. A foam member is connected to the shield to provide added comfort. The foam member may contain a plurality of openings extending through the member. The openings allow for increased air movement around the shield. The cuts in the shield may be above the foam member to create tabs which may be bent to at least partially cover the openings that extend through the foam member. Additionally, a pair of parallel cuts may be made on either side of the shield, the cuts adjustably engaging an elastic strap. This configuration allows the elastic strap to be comfortably adjusted to conform to a number of different sized heads.

Abstract: Designs and constructions for facemasks which, when properly used, can enable a small child's head hair to be washed by a parent without interference by the child while preventing liquid being applied to the head hair from washing across eyes, nose and mouth. The facemask has handgrips at either side which are grasped by the hands of the child while the child presses a seal against his/her forehead. The side support members are spring biased towards each other so that the side members provide pressure to hold the plugs in the ears of the wearer. Ear plugs are mounted so as to swivel relative to the side support members. The side support members are telescoping and are adjustable in length.

An active area of NMOS diffusion is extended with a joining area (102) between two adjacent cells (112) having the same net on diffusion at the adjacent edges of each cell. The diffusion area is extended to limit the occurrence of active and nonactive interface to minimise lattice strain effects and improve transistor performance.

Abstract: A light shield for eye protection in the welding process comprises a holding unit, a base plate, a filter plate and a universal joint. The filter plate, in conjunction with the base plate, is mounted on a universal joint by which the tilt angle thereof with respect to the holding unit can be free adjusted. Since the filter plate is applied closely to the welding target, the area thereof is small, significantly reducing the weight of the light shield. The base plate further includes a lamp for illuminating the welding target, so that welding can be conveniently done in dark places. The holding unit is for retaining a hand of a user, leaving the fingers of the hand for handling other parts.

A second bracket is located across the wall opening from the first bracket and defines a second channel. Abstract: A channel routing method (200) comprises computing channel parameters (210), classifying a channel complexity and estimating a channel height (220), optionally, determining a trunk placement direction (225), assigning tracks and layers (230), determining a quality function QF (240), and optimizing (250). The channel complexity is classified using predetermined weighting parameters (a1 to a4). This classification selects a significance vector n. In the assigning step (230), the vector n is combined with the channel parameters to a criterion. The criterion is used the select the most suitable assignment. In repetitions of assigning, determining QF and optimizing steps, the significance vector n and, optionally, QF are modified. The repetition are stopped upon compliance of a breaking condition which can refer to QF.

Abstract: A curved optical eye shield removably attached to a single set of arms that connect to an elastomerically operated tensioning system that is an integral part of ahead mount system. The eye shield rotates from a normal viewing position to an out of viewing position above the forehead. The rotation of the eye shield is initiated manually, but, the elastomerically operated tensioning system contemplates the rotation unassisted after the eye shield passes midway in its travel. The elastomerically operated tensioning system uses an H shaped tensor to apply clockwise tension to keep the eye shield held firmly in the viewing position, and when the eye shield is manually lifted toward the out of viewing position above the forehead, tension is applied to the reverse or counter clockwise direction to keep the eye shield held firmly in the out of view position.

Abstract: A mask for covering a person's face while welding. The mask includes a body adapted for covering the person's face, the body having a window with a translucent lens positioned over the window. The lens include at least one translucent slat, each slat having a first end and a second end. The first end of each slat being pivotally supported against the body of the mask and movable from a first position where each slat covers a projected area over the body to a second position where each slat covers a reduced projected area over the body, so that part of the face is exposed when the slats are in the second position.

Abstract: A kissing shield comprised of a thin, flexible membrane and a frame or holder. The membrane is closed on three sides, a fourth side remaining open so that the membrane can be stretched over the frame or holder. The frame or holder consists of a supporting member and an elongated handle. The supporting member adapts over the bottom part of the user's face and has sufficient dimension to cover the lips and most of the cheeks and extends from under the nose to the bottom of the chin. The elongated handle extends laterally from the supporting member and is sized to be held in the hand of the user such that the hand is spaced apart from the supporting member and membrane. In use, the membrane is placed over the frame or holder. Using the handle portion of the frame or holder, the user places the kissing shield under his nose, so that it covers his lips, cheeks and chin.

Abstract: An adjustable elastic protective eyewear strap for swimwear goggles and the like includes an elongated elastic cord having an elastic core encased in a stretchable cover. The goggle strap uses a releasable lock providing quick and convenient length adjustment for the goggle strap. The goggle strap is used in conjunction with a pair of goggles to provide a dependable and durable method for securing the goggles to the user's head.

Abstract: A face shield apparatus to prevent bodily fluids and foreign materials from splashing into the user's face in medical situations. In non-medical use, this invention relates generally to preventing non-impact exposure from liquid splash, dirt and dust. The apparatus includes a transparent face portion providing a flat viewing area in front of the user's eyes, a forehead barrier portion to protect the user against splash to the eyes from above, a head strap portion to fit around the user's head to hold the face shield in place, and a drape portion to protect against splash coming up under the shield. This drape portion features a fluid-impermeable fabric below the plastic to cover the user's chin and upper neck. Light pressure to the bottom of the fluid barrier fabric closes the fabric under the user's chin with fasteners.

Abstract: A headband magnifier comprises a one-piece polypropylene headband having a front portion, a back portion and two opposed sides where the back portion is disengageable so that the headband is movable between an at rest position and a compression position for the headband to provide a compressive force. This headband compressive force provides a comfortable tension for all head sizes. The headband magnifier further provides a flexible holding member having a continuous groove that facilitates interchangeability of lenses.

Abstract: A face mask safety shield structure having a shield support formed of a fire-retardant material with an adjustable head band for adjusting the structure to fit various sizes of user heads. A visor is attached to opposite sides of the shield and enables a user to raise the visor from a frontal horizontal position with respect to the shield support. The structure has a full length lens assembly of a length to fully cover the user's eyes and face and is removably secured to the visor to extend vertically downward from the visor when the visor is in the horizontal position to cover a user's eyes and face. The assembly has a tinted section positioned above a clear section with the tinted section formed to have a length less than the length of the clear section for shielding the eyes of the user. With the visor in the frontal horizontal position the user may look through both the clear and tinted sections and move the visor upward in an arc to swing the lens assembly away from the user's eyes and face.

Abstract: A flexible, perspiration-absorbing headband includes a downwardly extending flexible strip having a first end fixed to the headband and a second end end releasably attachable to the headband. The second end of the strip may be looped around a nose bridge of a pair of eyeglasses and attached to the headband to secure the eyeglasses.

Abstract: A face shield is flexible and includes two side wings that are connected to a main body by living hinges and a face-engaging element that spaces the body away from the face of a wearer. A flexible band attaches the shield to the wearer. The face shield body is opaque to the sun and one form of the shield includes cutouts which are covered with sunglasses-type material. The body is preferably cardboard or other such material so the shield can be folded and bent for storage or to customize it for the particular wearer. The shield can be discarded after use if desired.

Abstract: An ergonomic head band which may be comfortably worn for extended periods of time. The head band includes a strap having first and second upwardly curved side arcuate segments, a front arcuate region, and tails which couple together at the back of a wearer's head. Platform regions are provided between the front arcuate region and side arcuate segments. The side arcuate segments comfortably accommodate the ears of a wearer while the head band is worn, while the front arcuate region is positioned adjacent the wearer's head. The platform regions allow face shields or other apparatus to be coupled to the head band.

Abstract: A headband magnifier comprises a one-piece polypropylene headband having a front portion, a back portion and two opposed sides where the back portion is disengageable so that the headband is movable between an at rest position and a compression position for the headband to provide a compressive force. This headband compressive force provides a comfortable tension for all head sizes. The headband magnifier further provides a flexible holding member having a continuous groove that facilitates interchangeability of lenses.

The person can hold the pliers in one hand, with the flexible tube acting to position the shield in a proper location for viewing the weld connection. A headband is threaded through the slits in a manner such that once the headband is donned the shield member may be pulled away from the wearer's face to provide good air circulation. The belt also may be worn, at the option of the wearer, in a folded condition without contact of the body with the insulating material, then no longer serving as a sweat generating device.

Abstract: A face and neck protective shield for protection against waving lotion, neutralizer or any other treatment used on the head with the shield generally put on the user's head after the hair is rolled for a permanent prior to application of waving lotion. The shield can be removed during hair rinse and then put back on during application of neutralizer. The shield is cut as one piece of transparent plastic with an enlarged central portion designed to shield substantially the users entire face from the forehead hair line down and two side extensions that wrap around the neck sides and back with overlap at the neck back. Two tie strips are provided on the shield with one strip being held in a folded over strip at the top of the shield extended through the central portion and into the side extensions of the shield to be twist tied at the back of a user's neck each time it is used.
