First and second articles, which may comprise a glove and jacket sleeve or cuff, have mating geometries and at least one fastener to securely and selectively connect the two articles. In certain embodiments, magnets are provided as fasteners to connect the articles. For example, in certain embodiments, a method and system is provided that comprises features adapted to allow connection of an accessory (e.g. ski glove) to a portion of another article (e.g. jacket).

Abstract: Devices and methods of real-time mapping of a user's body. The devices and methods involve a user wearing one or more wearable article(s) of a frame such that sensing devices of the wearable article(s) are located on one or more section(s) of the user's body. Signals are transmitted with the sensing devices and received with at least one control unit. Movement of the section(s) of the user's body are determined based on the signal, and motion data are provided to a virtual environment based on the movement of the section(s) of the user's body.

Abstract: A bending yielding feature for use along an edge of any flexible wristband design provides a cushioning effect to a wearer's wrist or ankle as the wristband is worn, thereby helping to prevent injury to the wearer's wrist or ankle as he flexes his wrist or ankle against the wristband. The bending yielding feature can include many edge designs such as a scalloped edge, a curved edge, an edge with a series of extending flaps, and other such shapes.

Abstract: A gloving apparatus that comprises a glove box, a glove-lifting device, a glove-opening device, and a glove-inflating device. The glove box is designed to contain gloves. The glove-lifting device is designed to lift gloves, one at a time, from the glove box and insert the glove opening over said glove-opening device. The glove-lifting device comprises a vertical rod with one or more fastening devices at the bottom end, and vertical and horizontal activators. The glove-opening device has four spreading fingers, each of which can move horizontally and vertically using activators. The glove-inflating device comprises a sealing ring, an air tubule, and an activator that can move the sealing ring back and forth.

A combination of a pair of hand covers and a strap bracelet which is held in loops on the hand covers.

Abstract: An apparatus for dispensing a disposable glove and applying it to the hand of a user in which a stream of air drawn into an enclosed glove applying chamber through a constricted opening aligned with the heel of the glove inflates the topmost glove in a stack of gloves in the chamber so that a user can readily insert his hand into the glove. After the user has donned the glove on the hand, a wall of the chamber is opened to permit the user to readily withdraw his hand from the glove applying chamber while the air flow which originally inflated the top-most glove is disrupted. Upon closures of the chamber wall, the re-established air flow automatically inflates the next lower glove in the glove stack to prepare the next glove for receipt of another hand. The apparatus alternatively or in addition includes a glove removal chamber arranged to remove a glove from a gloved hand using a stream of air drawn into the glove removal chamber.

Abstract: An elongated wrist towel for wearing on a user's wrist without exerting circumferential pressure over a large portion of the user's arm includes a towel body defining a hollow, elongated sleeve and is sized to encircle the distal arm of a user. The towel body includes an elastic distal edge which allows the elongated wrist towel to be secured to a user's wrist, a non-elastic proximal edge, and an elastic seam which runs longitudinally between the proximal edge and the distal edge. In this regard, when in place on a wearer's arm, the elongated wrist towel can be retained on the wrist through compression from a single rim and selectively moved between extended and compacted positions on a user's arm.

Abstract: The present invention provides a glove comprises a main body adapted to receive a wearer's hand and a wrist cuff suspended over the main body. The main body further comprises a plurality of finger parts and a back hand part. The back hand part comprises a first protective panel hingedly connected at one end to the main body so that the first protective panel is suspend over the main body and slidably overlapped with a second protective panel. As the first protective panel slides over the second protective panel following the bending action of the fingers, a coordinated movement of the hand can be achieved. The second protective panel is also hingedly connected to the main body suspended over the main body and the wrist cuff, which allows for more coordinated rotating movement of the hand and the wrist following the bending action of the fingers.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention generally relate to a wrist protecting glove and methods of manufacturing the same. More specifically, embodiments of the present invention relate to a wrist protecting glove providing maximum protection with minimal restriction on range of movement, and method of manufacturing the same. In one embodiment, a wrist protecting glove comprises a polyurethane pad, formed to fit over a user's palm, a holding material integrally formed within the pad, a set of snap fasteners for closing the holding material around a user's thumb, a palm strap for affixing the wrist protecting glove on a user's hand, the palm strap affixed to the holding material, and a D-ring assembly for receiving the palm strap, wherein the palm strap comprises a hook and loop fastener strap for looping through the D-ring assembly and fastening onto itself to affix the wrist protecting glove on the user's hand.

Abstract: A protective sports glove including a contoured wrist cuff that substantially shields a gap defined between adjacent portions of the protective sports glove, such as hand and cuff portions. The contoured wrist cuff and/or the cuff portion can include multiple segments that enable the wrist cuff to flex with a wearer's wrist. The contoured wrist cuff can include a leading edge that contours forwardly adjacent a thumb portion of the contoured wrist cuff and rearwardly across a portion of the radial side of a wearer's hand when the glove is on the wearer's hand. This can allow protection of the wearer's wrist in flexion without also impairing movement of the wearer's wrist.

Abstract: The visual alert for placement on free-range animals includes active and/or passive lighting to alert motor vehicle drivers of such animals crossing the roadway when traveling through open rangeland. The visual alert is a sleeve having fins extending radially therefrom, the fins having reflective and/or active lighting elements thereon. Power for active lighting is provided by electrical batteries that are recharged during daylight. The permanently installed sleeve may be formed as a circumferentially closed distensible unit that passes over the hoof of the animal, or as an open sheet that is rolled about the leg of the animal and permanently secured by plastic ties or other suitable elements. The sleeve is lined with a non-abrasive material to preclude injury to the animal during long term wear.

Abstract: A strengthening glove comprising a glove which includes finger coverings, a thumb covering and a wrist cover; a finger attachment fastened to the finger coverings and the thumb covering; a finger guide attached to a base of the finger coverings; a wrist strap wrapped around the wrist cover, where the wrist strap secures the glove on the hand; a resistance strap, one for each finger covering and the thumb covering, where the resistance strap includes an elastic strip attached to a finger grip portion at one end and a wrist grip portion at an opposing end; wherein the resistance strap attaches to the glove by the finger grip portion engaging the finger attachment, the elastic strip passing through the finger guide and the wrist grip portion engaging to the wrist strap. The resistance strap creates tension against a backside of the hand to strengthen the hand during movement.

The side mirror mount allows the side mirror to stand above a wrist or a back of a hand. Accordingly, a rider can see a rear sight at ease via the standing side mirror. With a slight movement of the hand, the position of the side mirror is easily adjusted to enable the rider to see all the rear area from all directions, or to check the positions of the following cyclists.

Abstract: A glove includes two “H” shaped stiffening battens on a dorsal side. The battens terminate on a proximal side of the second through fifth fingers, and are formed from a non-rigid material. A one-piece protective panel is attached to the palmar side of the glove. The protective panel covers portions of the wearing hand palm corresponding to the distal ends of the second through fifth metacarpal bones, as well as palmar side portions of the second through fifth digits corresponding to the second through fifth proximal phalanx bones. Flex notch cut-outs in the protective panel correspond to portions of the palmar region which tend to bunch during gripping of a bar or other object and help prevent discomfort during such gripping.

Abstract: A child or adult glove which allows the child or adult to see his or her thumb and fingers up to the moment when they are inserted in the glove finger and thumb holes. This is accomplished with at least one and preferably two zippers or hook and loop fasteners which extend from a wrist opening along the dorsal side of the glove towards the finger openings. The zippers or hook and loop fasteners are arranged such that the back of the glove can be folded out of the way so that the entry to the thumb and finger holes is clearly visible.

Abstract: A durable athletic glove with an enhanced range of motion is provided. The glove has a palm-side portion and a back portion connected to form four finger sheaths, a thumb sheath, and an opening capable of receiving a human hand. One or more rounded, strain-relieving cutouts are located on the palm portion at a location corresponding to the area of a user's hand where two adjacent fingers connect with the palm. A strain-relieving finger gusset connects each cutout to the finger sheaths and palm-side portion. A thumb gusset extends from the back portion, between the thumb sheath and index finger sheath, and to the palm-side portion. The strain-relieving cutouts and strain-relieving gussets distribute force applied where finger sheaths connect to minimize glove failure. The cutouts and gussets allow an increased range of motion and stretchability for the user.

Abstract: A hand wearable control apparatus comprises a hand wear portion, a finger attachment portion extending from the hand wear portion and adapted for wearing on a first finger, and at least one actuation sensor formed on the finger attachment portion. The actuation sensor is disposed for operation by a second finger on the hand wearing the hand wear portion. The hand wearable control apparatus facilitates flexible control of electronic devices even when a user is doing sports or other activities. Such a hand wear apparatus also provides a user with benefits of maintaining control on a moving vehicle (such as a moving bicycle) with both hands while controlling a performance or information apparatus such as a performance monitor or a GPS.

The closure mechanism includes an inner layer adjacent the glove body that forms a band compartment having an exit slot. An elastic band is positioned within the band compartment, with a first end attached to the band compartment and a second end that extends out through the exit slot. A first fastener element is positioned on the second end of the elastic band, and a second fastener element adapted to removably engage the first fastener element is attached to the glove body on the opposite side of the access slit from the exit slot.

The sleeve has an opening for receiving the wearer's thumb. A first portion of the sleeve extends around the lower part and opposite sides of a wearer's hand and wrist and has spaced side edges located in an upper region of the sleeve. An insert panel of a different material to the first sleeve portion is secured between spaced side edges of the first portion, so as to extend across the tipper portion of a wearer's hand and wrist when the device is worn. The insert panel material is a strong elastic material which has a higher stiffness than the rest of the sleeve.

Abstract: Disclosed is a convertible gaming glove. The glove includes both fixed and removable parts. More specifically, the glove includes fix portions for covering the wrist, dorsal side of the hand, and upper portion of the palm. The glove also includes removable portions for covering the finger tips and palm. Thus, the glove can be configured to optimize tactile feel, grip and moisture absorption.

Abstract: Transmission of communicable diseases has been a long standing problems between athletes playing team sports. The potential of HIV and AIDS virus transmission has elevated this problem to be a grave concern. A major avenue for the transmission of infectious agents has been identified to be a game's ball. In many sports it is common practice for athletes to wet their finger tips to better grip the ball. A hygienic method of improving grip on a game ball is disclosed. The disclosed gripping band is wholly flexible and accordingly is not a potential source of injury even in a contact sport. Wetted absorbent material within a water tight pan, due to minimally exposed surface area, remains moist for sustained periods in any orientation.

Abstract: A protective sports glove including a contoured wrist cuff that substantially shields a gap defined between adjacent portions of the protective sports glove, such as hand and cuff portions. The palm-holding part is mounted in an upper half portion of the glove body. The two connection parts are mounted to a lower half portion of the glove body and have a through hole respectively. The adjustable support parts are adjustably mounted to the corresponding connection part. Each of them has a support piece and a locking module. The support piece having an interconnection part is movably mounted to the corresponding connection part, and a locating slot is formed through the interconnection part to overlap with the through hole of the corresponding connection part. The back side of each of the finger regions includes a reinforcing element or other protective feature. Abstract: An athletic glove with enhanced tensioning is provided. The glove comprises a palm-side portion and a back portion connected to form four finger sheaths, a thumb sheath, and an opening capable of receiving a human hand. A keyhole cutout is located along the opening at a location corresponding to the back of a user's hand. A tension-adjusting wrist strap is attached to the glove on a first side of the keyhole adjacent to the opening. The wrist strap extends across the keyhole and is detachably affixable to a second side of the keyhole adjacent to the opening. The wrist strap may be used to adjust the tension across the palm-side portion by adjusting where the strap is detachably affixed. The wrist strap connects to the palm-side portion at an angle to optimize the distribution of tensioning force to reduce bunching in the palm-side portion and provide enhanced gripping.

Abstract: A basketball training aid designed to teach a user how to correctly grip, set up, and release a basketball. The device includes a material that wraps around the top (prone side) of the hand and bottom half of the underside (supine side) of the hand, without limiting wrist extension and flexion during a basketball shot. The glove includes a splint support material on top of the index, middle, and ring fingers, running from the middle of the digits to the bottom half of the top (prone side) of hand. The splint support material prevents premature finger flexion at the base of the fingers during the release of the shot, ensuring an open hand at follow through. Additionally, the design encourages proper finger separation and proper extension of wrist joint on set up, keeps the ball off the palm of the hand, and promotes proper position for dribbling a basketball effectively.

Abstract: A fabrication sheet is appropriately dimensioned and otherwise suitable for use with a printer. A symmetrical, removable and foldable identification band is included in the fabrication sheet. The fabrication sheet includes a rectangular backing sheet, covered by a working sheet, which may be made of imprintable woven polyester. The backing and working sheets are secured to each other by a releasable adhesive and have a combined thickness and flexibility that permits them to pass through a printer without difficulty. The working sheet is die-cut to define the outline of the band configured in such a way that it includes a strap portion and a tag portion. The tag portion is positioned at one end of and extends from the strap portion. The tag portion of the unfolded band includes wing sections extending outwardly, one from each side of the strap portion. The tag portion of the working sheet may include a generally rectangular patch of a different material that better accepts and holds a printed image.
