Each knuckle thimble may incorporate a thimble void sized to admit a human knuckle on a side of the shield base opposite a thimble dome. Abstract: A protective glove system featuring built-in adjustable straps to secure the digits of the wearer's hand in a manner similar to “buddy taping” of the fingers to restrain and support an injured finger and “thumb spica” taping to protect an injured thumb. Several variations of gloves featuring dual finger stalls with integral straps above and below the proximal interphalangeal (PIP) joints of the wearer's fingers, and an integral thumb spica loop are disclosed which are appropriate for securing the digits of the wearer's hand to prevent re-injury and promote healing, or to prevent injury. Baseball fielding gloves having dual finger stalls compatible with the glove system are also disclosed, along with other features.

The inner fabric layer connects to the outer fabric layer and allows water and air to pass through the layer in only one direction.

Abstract: A finger protecting device for protecting at least one finger against chafing resulting from rubbing against the shaft when practicing a sport with the shaft, such as golfing. The device comprises a sleeve for the thumb. The sleeve has front and rear surfaces, the front surface being positioned before a digital area of the thumb for acting as a barrier between the thumb and the shaft. The sleeve has first and second opposite ends, the second end being open-ended for allowing the thumb to be inserted into the sleeve. The device comprises fastening means connected to the sleeve for selectively adjusting and fastening the sleeve onto the thumb. The device may comprise extension portions, as well as additional sleeves for other fingers of the hand, the other sleeves exposing the fingertips of the fingers to enable a better feel for the shaft.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a glove that provides protection for the fingernails of the wearer without reducing the flexibility in the remainder of the glove or reducing the wearer's manual dexterity or sense of touch. The glove comprises protector pads positioned in the fingernail regions on the inside of the glove to prevent the fingernails from contacting and rubbing or chafing against the inner surface of the glove. The protector pads can be made of a soft or smooth material so as not to scrape, abrade or otherwise damage the nails.

Accordingly, the location of the wide portion of the pad along the length of the garment can be adjusted by adjusting the length of the narrow portion of the pad.

Abstract: A method of removing gloves, such as work gloves, examining gloves or operating gloves having homogeneous bodies with a hand part and a cuff adjacent the hand part. At least one gripping aid is provided on the outer surface of the cuff and at a distance from the rear edge of the cuff. This allows the gloves to be removed in an ergonomic and simple manner without any auxiliary means, even with a very short cuff, without the soiled or contaminated outer side coming into contact with the skin of the person wearing the glove.
