Abstract: An adjustable, configurable hat is described that can be configured to accommodate a variety of hairstyles. In general, the adjustable, configurable hat has a crown member, an enlarged opening and a panel that is releasably attachable to the crown member. In one example, the adjustable, configurable hat generally has an open configuration and a closed configuration. In the closed configuration, the panel is releasably attached to the crown member by the fastening mechanisms, covers the enlarged opening and generally has the appearance of a hat that is not adjustable and configurable. In the open configuration, the panel is releasably attached to the inside of the crown member by the fastening members such that it is not visible when the hat is worn and the enlarged opening allows the wearer of the hat to wear a variety of hairstyles while wearing the hat. In both configurations, the fastening mechanisms and the panel are hidden by the crown member.
Abstract: A helmet includes a shell defining a ventilation aperture passing from the outer surface of the shell to the inner surface of the shell. A ventilation control is secured to the inner surface of the shell. The ventilation control is configured to be reversibly displaced between a first position blocking a flow of air through the ventilation aperture and a second position permitting flow of air through the ventilation aperture. The ventilation control is configured to be reversibly displaced between the first position and the second position by a force applied upon an outer surface of the ventilation control opposite to the inner surface of the shell from within an internal volume of the helmet.

Abstract: In accordance with the present invention, an article of headwear includes a main body having a front portion and an opposite rear portion. The main body has a closeable opening (e.g., slit) formed therein and extending along a length thereof. The article of headwear also includes a fastener mechanism disposed along closeable opening for selectively closing at least two portions of the closeable opening. The fastener is configured such that it defines ends of the opening and permits both a location and length of the opening to be varied. The fastener can be in the form of a zipper with two sliders located along the zipper track.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a cap with improved ventilation, and more specifically, to a cap comprising: a visor provided at the front the cap to shield sunlight; and a crown formed to cover the head portion of a wearer in which a part of the lower end of the crown is coupled to the back front end of the visor, wherein a part of the lower end of the crown coupled to the visor has an openable/closable structure capable of being separated from the visor.
Abstract: A headband is positionable in a generally horizontal orientation. The headband has a front left panel and a front right panel. Each of the front panels has a lower edge stitched to the headband at a forward extent. Each of the front panels has a forward edge stitched together over a central extent above a central region of the headband. Each of the front panels has a vertically extending rearward edge. The headband has a left rear panel and a right rear panel. Each of the rear panels has a forward edge stitched to a rearward edge of a front panel. Each of the rear panels has a free rear edge and free lower edge. The lower and rear edges of the rear panels are adapted to be positioned rearwardly in a first orientation and forwardly in a second orientation.
