Abstract: A hat shaping device is configured to be installed on headwear (e.g., on a band of a peaked cap) to urge the headwear into an oblong and/or oval shape. The device includes a pair of hooks connected together in a manner that allows the device to be transitioned between a deployed configuration, in which the device is configured for installation on the headwear, and a stowed configuration, in which the device is configured for easy storage and/or transport. In some examples, the device is collapsed when in the stowed configuration (e.g., with respective legs of the pair of hooks nested together one on top of the other.).

Abstract: A beret display apparatus is described. Embodiments of the beret display apparatus can generally include a base, a rod, and a member. The member can be adapted to wear a beret. For instance, the member can display a military style beret in an “as worn” presentation. The rod can be included to elevate the member and couple the member to the base. Generally, the rod can be coupled to the member in an offset position. By offsetting the member, a standard military style beret can appear centered on the base.

Abstract: A hat insert device for maintaining a hat in a desired condition is provided. The hat has an inner flap along an opening of the hat. The hat insert device comprises a flat, planar insert having a first side, a second side substantially opposite the first side, a top edge, a bottom edge substantially opposite the top edge, a first edge between the top edge and the bottom edge, and a second edge substantially opposite the first edge. A retaining mechanism is formed in either the top edge of the insert or the bottom edge of the insert for maintaining the insert in a desired position. Upon positioning the insert inside the inner flap at the front of the hat, the insert provides support, stiffness, and structure in the hat.

Abstract: A visor protector for caps having a visor including a periphery having a front edge, a pair of lateral edges, and upper and lower sides. The visor protector includes a flexible body having an upper portion and a lower portion. The upper portion of the flexible body meets the lower portion of the flexible body at a leading edge of the flexible body. The upper portion of the flexible body is receivable on the upper side of the visor, and the lower portion of the flexible body is receivable on the lower side of the visor. The upper and lower portions of the flexible body cooperate to define a substantial U-shape, wherein the visor is receivable between the upper and lower portions such that the leading edge of the flexible body is substantially aligned with the front edge of the visor. The visor protector includes a pair of spring clips that each have a first leg that is engageable with the upper portion of the flexible body and a second leg that is engageable with the lower portion of the flexible body.

These seams can be sealed by stickers (41˜43) contain thermoplastic membrane (40). Whereby the seams are connected with panels (21˜26) to achieve waterproof effects. In manufacturing, high frequency circular wheel cuts and melts between panels (21˜26), leftovers cut off and thrown out, piled sides of panels are welded to form a seam (27). Stickers contain thermoplastic membrane can be heated inside the crown between two adjacent panels, where a roller rolls over to press down the sticker to cover up the seams. Thereby, a crown is completed.

Abstract: A baseball cap including features for stabilizing the cap in a moving stream of air. The cap includes a modified bill having a downforce generator configured to create a relatively stagnate recirculation zone between the downforce generator and the head covering. This recirculation zone tends to negate the lifting effect found in prior art bills. The invention preferably also includes a vent through the bill. The vent is located behind the downforce generator, so as to connect the underside of the bill to the recirculation zone formed in the wake of the downforce generator. The vent is selectively closed by a flexible flap. The flap remains closed to prevent rain from passing through the vent. However, if pressure beneath the bill significantly exceeds pressure above the bill, the vent opens to equalize the pressure. This action prevents the creation of a net lifting force which might lift the cap off the wearer's head.

The rim has a core layer that is made from at least one of an animal hide and a synthetic animal hide, and a second layer. The core layer has an upwardly facing surface and a downwardly facing surface and at least part of one of the upwardly facing surfaces and downwardly facing surfaces is covered by the second layer.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an improved method and device for temporarily affixing a protective attachment assembly 20 to a headgear 30 having a headband inner surface 36. The stiffener 10 has an arched shape between the two ends 16 and 16A with a left tab 12 and a right tab 12A both having first projections 19 and second projections 19A that provide frictional holding when inserted between the headband inner surface 36 and the perimeter surface 35 of the headgear 30. A center tab 13B consists of an upper relief radius 13 that will accommodate a ponytail 40 and a protruding lower radius 13A that provides stabilizing support when placed over the adjustment strap 33 of the headgear 30.

Abstract: A brim or visor for hats is described which includes a brim cover and a brim insert securely affixed within the brim cover. The brim cover comprises an upper sheet having an image printed to one side thereof; and a lower sheet attached to the upper sheet to form a pocket adapted to receive the brim insert. The brim insert is securely affixed within the pocket such that the image printed on the upper sheet lays substantially flat over the brim insert.

Abstract: An animal hat and a method for securing an animal hat to an animal are disclosed. The animal hat includes the hat, a shell and a securing means or a harness joined directly to the shell of the hat. The securing means or harness includes two straps, each having two loose ends which are movably secured to the shell of the hat. The two straps pass under the animal's muzzle and may be arranged so as to cross each other under the animal's muzzle or to extend in a generally parallel manner.

Abstract: A baseball cap designed to be collapsible in order to be compact enough to conveniently fit in a shirt pocket or a pair of pants. A retractable element of the membrane in the frame of the cap allows the cap to return to its recognizable baseball shape, when the cap is not restricted in its compacted form.
