Abstract: A convertible hat is disclosed. The convertible hat of the present invention comprises: a band (110) coupled to the head of a user; and a brim (120) provided horizontally in a certain area on the front surface of the band (110) to block sunlight. Furthermore, the convertible hat of the present invention preferably includes a pair of shape transformation crowns (130, 130a) that each have one end coupled to the band (110) and the other end spread out over the band (110), and are positioned in either a cap position in which the crowns cover the head of the user, or a sun cap position in which the crowns extend from the side surface of the brim (120) to increase the sun blocking area of the brim (120). Accordingly, a single convertible hat can be used by transforming into the two forms of a cap and a sun cap.

Abstract: Embodiments are disclosed for headwear including a crown including a cap, a strap extending from the crown, the strap including two strap portions extending from different locations of the crown, and a clasp coupled to the strap at terminal ends of the two strap portions, the clasp having a top loop and a bottom loop, wherein the top loop is joined to the bottom loop via a hinge, a top surface of the bottom loop extending from the hinge having a substantially linear declination along at least a portion of the top surface.

Abstract: The present invention provides a headwear comprising a head receiving portion and a visor/peak, which is substantially improved in sweat absorption and evaporation performance, thereby achieving superior stain-resistant properties. A headwear according to the present invention comprises: a sweat band coupled along an inner lower edge of the crown including a sweat absorbing portion to absorb sweat and a sweat storing portion to store the sweat absorbed to the sweat absorbing portion; and a sweat evaporating portion surrounding at least a part of the visor of the headwear to evaporate moisture from the sweat stored in the sweat band by being connected with the sweat band.

Abstract: The present invention is an article of headwear that is conformable so as to accommodate a wide range of head sizes comprised of at least a crown portion that substantially covers the head of the wearer. Proximate the lowest edge of the crown portion is a sweatband or headband permanently affixed thereto that is stretchable in all directions, not just vertically and horizontally. The band is comprised of elastic threads woven into a diamond pattern so that it is capable of stretching and returning substantially to its original shape. In an alternative embodiment of the sweatband, the sweatband comprises a base layer of a flexible material with a plurality of longitudinal bands of fibers with wicking, odor reducing and antibacterial properties superimposed upon the base material of the sweatband.

Abstract: A one-piece cap comprising the cap made by a hot press forming method, including a bowl-shaped cap body and a cap visor connected with the cap body; the method of making the one-piece cap comprising steps of preheating a hot pressing die, preheating a hot pressing die, pressing and shaping materials, cutting off the excessive material, and trimming for a bound edge; the one-piece cap being made without sewing or bonding the cap body and the cap visor separately in the manufacturing process, and therefore, reducing the production procedures and costs, and saving the production time and the manual labor, thus the one-piece cap has simple structure and beautiful appearance with more round and smooth lines.

Thus, the user can use the earphone set to listen to music when the knitted hat is put on the head to keep the head warm.

Abstract: A device to bind the edge of a hat brim that is easily applied to a hat and can be reformed and removed as desired. A malleable forming member, enveloped by a covering material, allows the device to be folded over the edge of a hat brim and the brim formed to the desired curvature. The covering material that envelops the forming member provides a finished appearance to the device and may be comprised of textiles in any color or texture, so it may be interchanged with other devices to suit the appearance of the hat or its wearer.

Abstract: An attachment for the edge of an extending brim of a baseball type cap or visor is disclosed which is mounted on the edge of the extending brim to protect or repair the edge. The attachment easily mounts on the brim of a cap or visor and remains securely thereon. The brim is inserted into a slot through the side and along the full length of the attachment. The slot has flared edges that permit the attachment to be easily attached to the brim edge. As the edge attachment is mounted on the edge of a cap or visor the flared edges are deformed outward creating a spring force that firmly holds the edge attachment on the brim. The edge attachment may have an extension that extends over the top of a brim to provide additional space for the display of words, graphics, etc. that are larger than can be displayed on the much narrower front or top edge of the attachment.

The inner layer has upper, forward, and rearward portions. There is an opening disposed in the rear portion of the outer layer. The opening is configured to receive a portion of the cinching body there through with the drawstring secured posteriorly to the rearward portion of the outer layer by tying the ends of the drawstring together. The silk or satin inner layer reduces hair breakage by reducing friction against the hair and helps avoid perspiration around the hairline, thus assisting in keeping the hairstyle intact.

Disclosed hat bills can include a member defining one or more apertures configured to promote airflow over a wearer's head. Such airflow can promote evaporation of perspiration, cooling a wearers head. The brim support is formed from a material that is more heat resistant than the thermoplastic material. The brim support is sufficiently rigid to limit deformation of the brim upon exposure to high temperature. The brim support material can, for example, have a melting point above 500° F. A method of limiting high-temperature deformation in a helmet includes molding an outer shell of the helmet to consist essentially of thermoplastic material, the outer shell comprising a generally dome-shaped portion and a brim extending outwardly from the dome-shaped section by at least 2.

A visor is attached to the crown and includes a visor cover disposed over a unitary visor body. The visor body has a first surface and an opposing second surface to define a uniform thickness. The visor body is configured with at least one slit formed therein. The at least one slit defines a proximal portion and a distal portion. The distal portion is transitional relative to the proximal portion between a first position and a second position. The slit allows the distal portion of the visor to adjust relative to the proximal portion, thereby to enhancing the visor appearance of the headwear and providing a better shade to the wearer.

Abstract: The present invention is a cap with perspective interlayer space including a cap body-having an exterior surface and a wearing space, an interlayer space arranged onto a local region of the exterior surface of the cap body formed by an internal and external rim, an opening at one end of the interlayer space, and a perspective portion arranged onto global or local region of the external rim of the interlayer space. With the perspective portion, the users can visualize the interior of the interlayer space. The interlayer space is particularly suitable for accommodating advertising, promotional, decorative and identifiable articles. These articles can be easily taken out from the opening, so the users can, where necessary, freely take out the articles from or place them into the interlayer space. The interlayer space can also be used for accommodating small articles for easy identification, realizing ease-of-use with improved applicability.

The front and back edges of each stem holder may be partially attached to the crown such that the opening is larger along the front than along the back. At least a portion of the opening may be angled downward from front to back. For brimmed headwear, a raised flair may be positioned on the brim to create a pocket between it and the crown. For brimless headwear, the raised flair may be attached to the front of the crown to form a pocket between it and at least a portion of the crown. In either the brimmed or brimless configuration, the lens portion of the glasses will rest in the pocket when the stems of the glasses are inserted into the stem holders.

Abstract: An adjustable protective head cover, including first and second earpieces, a canopy configured to cover the top of a wearer's head when spread, a plurality of ribs curved to substantially follow the curvature of the top of a wearer's head and pivotally secured on opposite ends to opposite earpieces. The ribs are secured to evenly spaced portions of the canopy whereby the ribs are pivotally spread apart in a substantially uniformly spacing when the canopy is spread with the front and rear ribs at the front and rear of the spread canopy. A plastic waffle band having a zigzag configuration is secured to the underside of the canopy and adapted to configure the canopy in pleats when the ribs are pivoted together. Front and rear brims are secured to the canopy at the front and rear ribs, and connectors on the front and rear brims releasably connect the brims together with the canopy in a pleated configuration therebetween when the ribs are pivoted together in the closed position.

The brim is provided with an opening having a discrete geometric configuration, and an insert is provided having a geometric configuration with mates with the opening's geometric configuration. The insert may be formed of a plasticized tinted material to filter the sun's rays to the user's eyes. The insert may also be provided with indicia imprinted on the exterior surface thereby to provide a promotional function by the cap.

Abstract: A hat with a brim extending outward from the base of a crown wherein a water adsorbent material is disposed on the inside lower portion of the crown, and extends outward onto the underside of the brim. A headband member on the outside lower portion of the base of the crown constricts the crown, causing it to apply the portion of the water adsorbent material disposed therein directly to the head of a user. The crown has venting holes incorporated along the head band. The water absorbent material comprises a closed cell foam material. The closed cell foam material is encased in a water adsorbent matting material to prevent direct contact between the closed cell foam material and the skin of a user.

Abstract: The present invention provides a combination hat and sunglasses/goggles, in which the sunglasses/goggles are pivotally moveable relative to the hat, between a raised, out of the way position to a lowered position with the eyepiece in front of the wearer's eyes, through an elongated aperture in the front brim of the hat. In addition, the sunglasses/goggles can be fully detached and removed from the hat, so that they can be used as regular sunglasses. The combination is easy to assemble and disassemble, and simple and convenient to operate, providing versatility and reduced risk of loss of components of the combination.

The head covering is open on one side for allowing a wearer to wear the head covering. The head covering has inner and outer surfaces with a channel formed through the inner and outer surfaces. The hair retaining sleeve has an opening formed in one end. The sleeve is affixed to the head covering and positioned to align the opening in the sleeve with the channel through the inner and outer surfaces of the head covering. When the head covering is worn by a wearer, the wearer's hair is able to be passed through the channel and into the sleeve through the opening.

Abstract: An adjustable headwear is shown, consisting of connecting multiple numbers of individual panels using zipper, Velcro or hook. In another example, it is also adjustable for size at more than one elevation (two or more). The panels are made of different material, natural fabric and/or synthetic textile. Panels are in one or different colors are inter-changeable to provide better fit, higher level of protection and enhanced stability. The hat is used with or without a rim or visor. The adjustment mechanisms are band and clasp, pins and matching holes or Velcro and are located in the bottom portion of the hat and between the bottom portion and the top of the hat. To provide higher degree of protection, the top part is made out of hard material, in another example. In another embodiment, it is a rimless hat. It may stand on its own structure, on any other object (i.e. it does not flatten out on a desk, for example).
