A bead defines a pair of openings there through where a first end of the first flexible strand extends through a first one of the pair of openings and a first end of the second flexible strand extends through a second one of the pair of openings. The cap retains the second end of each of the flexible strands on opposing sides of the cap.

In particular, the hat accessory may receive a protective covering with printed indicia on the exterior surface thereof. The protective covering may also be coated with a water repellent and also embedded with a treatment for UV protection. The protective covering may be removably attachable to the hat accessory so that the wearer can show support to a particular team, event or cause depending on the circumstances.

Abstract: One embodiment of said head apparel protects the face, eyes, temples and chin of the wearer. An embodiment based upon a typical broad brimmed hat with a polymer shield projecting down from the front brim is described. Other embodiments are described with specific interest to persons who may now wish to cover their hair. A device for placing the polymer shield under tension to reduce visual distortion of the shield and increase its resistance to being ruffled by wind is usable with all embodiments of this invention.

Abstract: A hat member has a lower rim with a scarf attached thereto which extends between the temple areas around the back of the head. The scarf has an eye edge proximate the lower part of the eye sockets and extends from there to an area proximate the juncture of the neck with the torso or trunk. The scarf is loose and has folds under the chin so that a coat or other outer garment can be positioned and closed there over without restricting movement of the user. The scarf extends from the rim down proximate the nape of the neck to protect the back of the head and the rear of the neck. The hat member has a crown into which the scarf member can be positioned and stored while the hat is being worn. In turn the scarf may be moved between a stored position in the crown of the hat member and a deployed position removed from the crown and deployed over and about the head of the user.

A net-shaped sun shades is attached to and extends downwards from outer peripheral edges of the supporting plates and supporting ribs for supporting front upper edges of the net-shaped sun shade. The supporting ribs are hingedly mounted to front ends of the clipping parts. The clipping parts have a “” shape sectional surface respectively, in which a jaw for holding the visor fitted between an upper clipping plate and a lower clipping plate of the clipping parts is formed at an entrance there between. Abstract: An elasticized, weatherproof assembly adapted to being attached to a military helmet. Foliage and the like available for the surrounding terrain may be inserted into the assembly at points over the entire helmet. The present invention also provides a face and bug net attachable to said helmet assembly. The face and bug net may be stored in a rolled up position onto the helmet assembly or deployed. In the deployed state the face and bug net is rolled down over the face and neck, thereby camouflaging the face and neck while also providing bug protection. The present invention also provides a bundle of camouflage strips stored attached to the apex of the helmet assembly. In a deployed state, the camouflage strips extend downward over the helmet.

Abstract: An elastic visor for detachable mounting on headwear is of sheet neoprene having a reinforcing layer of nylon, with a crown aperture that is stretched around, and grips the surface of a headwear to which it is mounted. The neoprene, of about five millimeter thickness, serves to grip the surface of the headwear. The flexible material of the visor permits the peak to deflect under the application of undue force. Ear-protective side flaps and an extended protective neck-flap portion can be incorporated. Decorative crown cut-outs are silhouetted against the helmet.

Abstract: A decorative removable helmet cover adapted for receipt over the top of a hard plastic exterior surface of a ski helmet, a snowboard helmet, a skateboard helmet, a bicycle helmet or hardhat for providing a unique appearance to the helmet or the hardhat. The removable helmet cover includes a flexible dome-shaped soft cloth exterior surface disposed on top of a flexible dome-shaped soft cloth interior liner. The interior liner is adapted for receipt over and conform to an exterior surface of the helmet. A lower circumference of the exterior surface is attached to a hollow elastic band. Also, a lower circumference of the interior liner is attached to the hollow elastic band. Disposed inside the hollow elastic band is an elastic tie. Opposite ends of the tie extend outwardly from an opening in a rear portion of the elastic band. The opposite ends of the tie are received through a tie lock and are attached to a tie pull.

Abstract: A sports helmet with a full fabric brim. The helmet protects the skull from impact while the brim provides sun protection to the face, ears, neck, and upper shoulders. The helmet consists of a bowl-shaped, thin-walled, protective shell. The shell contains tear shaped vent holes in the crown and circular vent holes in the front and rear. The shell padding consists of closed cell foam pads in the front, rear, and crown. The helmet is secured by a four-point strap and is closed with a plastic snap buckle. A full fabric brim is attached to the inner edge of the shell with hook and loop strips. The shell padding is secured to the inner lining of the brim band with hook and loop strips. The brim band sandwiched between the shell and the padding provides a very secure attachment. The brim is constructed of heavy duty fabric that is pliable yet maintains its shape in extreme conditions. The material actually stiffens slightly when wet, making it ideal for water sports.

The covering portion further includes three female snap fastener portions on a front, interior surface thereof, spaced and adapted to mate with three similarly-positioned male snap fastener portions on a front, exterior surface of the motorcycle helmet. The covering portion also includes a selectively-releasable, mating hook and loop fabric patch pair wherein the loop portion is located on the covering portion's rear, interior surface and the hook portion is located on the helmet's rear, exterior surface. A visored, covered helmet assembly includes a helmet, a covering portion and a visor.
