Abstract: A storage clip includes a first finger having a top surface and a bottom surface, and a second finger having a top surface facing the first finger and a bottom surface facing away from the first finger. The second finger is connected to the first finger with an integral hinge that produces a biasing force such that a first end of the first finger is biased towards a first end of the second finger. An integral connector extends from the bottom surface of the second finger.

Abstract: The present disclosure may relate to a hat. The hat may include a cavity with an opening configured to receive a head of a user. The hat may also include an adjustable band around the opening of the cavity that may adjust a volume of the cavity between a first volume and a second volume. The hat may also include a hanging element coupled to the cavity and configured to be substantially concealed within the cavity at either the first volume or the second volume, be substantially disposed outside of the cavity at either the first volume or the second volume, and transition back and forth between being substantially concealed within the cavity and being substantially disposed outside of the cavity at either the first volume or the second volume.

Abstract: A method of storing a hard hat tether attached to a hard hat includes the steps of providing a hard hat; providing a clip holder having a latch plate with a latch opening that defines at least one attachment handle; providing a clip member defining a tether opening and having a locking mechanism constructed to removably secure the clip member to the clip holder by capturing the attachment handle; providing a hard hat tether having a first tether end portion secured to the clip member by extending through the tether opening of the clip member, a second tether end portion, and a tether body portion secured to the clip holder; securing the second tether end portion to the hard hat; and attaching the clip member to the attachment handle of the clip holder, thereby storing the clip member.

Abstract: The present invention relates to articles, devices, methods, and systems for securing a hat to a wearer. In certain non-limiting embodiments, it includes the use of a hat lanyard including a lower strap having a first end and a second end and a lower strap fastening mechanism that is adapted to releasably fasten the lower strap to a user's article of clothing; an upper strap comprising a first end and a second end with a first and second fastening section that are adapted to releasably attach to form a loop; and a connector strap having a first end a second end that connects the upper strap to the lower strap.

Abstract: The head covering includes a skull portion, a visor and an expandable section for connecting the visor and the skull portion. The expandable section is moveable between an expanded position and a retracted position to move the visor between a generally horizontal position to shade the eyes and a generally vertical position to protect the back of the neck. The expandable section is interposed between and connects the skull portion and the visor. The expandable section is formed of flexible material that is easily folded.

Abstract: The present invention involves a hat with the ability to store a small item. The hat is preferably a standard baseball cap, but can also be a visor. The hat contains a sleeve therein for holding an item such as a pen, bottle opener, or golf tee. One end of the sleeve contains a retractable band for attachment to an item. The other end of the sleeve contains an opening for access to an item. The retractable band retains the item within the sleeve when the item is not being used. A wearer can reach into the sleeve, pull the item out of the sleeve, use the item, and then place it into the sleeve wherein the retractable band holds it in place while the hat is worn. The retractable band can have an attachment device on one end for the removable attachment of an accessory.

Abstract: A retractable hat tether apparatus for a hat having a cap portion. The tether apparatus includes a guide base movably mounted to the cap portion for movement thereof along a fixed path between a first position and a second position. A flexible tether includes a first end and an opposite second end thereof mounted to the guide base. A clip device is configured for releasable attachment to a user's clothing. The clip device is mounted to the first end such that, when the guide base moves along the fixed path between the first position and the second position, the tether and the clip device move between a retracted condition, positioning the tether substantially along the fixed path, and an extended condition, positioning the tether at an exterior of the cap portion to enable the clip device to be mounted to the user's clothing.

Abstract: A hat retaining mechanism has a flexible tether, a clip mechanism attached to one end of the flexible tether to be located on the outside of a hat, and a slidable retraction component on the flexible tether located on the inside of the hat between the other end of the flexible tether that is secured to the inside of the hat and an opening in the hat through which the flexible tether passes.

Abstract: A chin strap which can be used to retrofit an existing head covering so as to provide a means to retain the head covering on the wearer's head without damage to or modification of the head covering. The chin strap is an elongate strand and is provided with a clip at each end. The clips are used to secure the elongate strand to the interior band of the head covering by attachment of a clip on both the left and right side of the interior band. The clip slips over the interior band and is maintained in place by means of clip spring tension. The elongate strand extends between the two clips and is provided in a length which allows generous slack. The amount of slack in the chin strap is adjusted to the comfort of the wearer using a bead or adjustment clip mounted in the mid portion of the elongate strand. The bead or adjustment clip may be imprinted with a logo or trademark so that the chin strap may be used as an advertisement or promotional item.

Abstract: A type of lightweight, multi-use headware is provided which has a concealable elastic loop on one or both sides of the headware for temporarily receiving a small illuminating device that allows the handle of the illuminating device to be securely held within the elastic loop of the headware. When the illuminating device is removed from the elastic loop, the loop may be concealed within the headware so that the headware may be used in the more traditional manner of shielding the user's face and eyes from sunlight.
