    Abstract: A manufacturing method including providing a mold including at least two mold parts having first and second molding surfaces which are complementarily profiled to give shape to headwear; shaping a first substrate in the mold resulting in the first substrate having a non-planar profile which matches at least a portion of the profile of the molding surfaces; shaping a second substrate in the mold resulting in the second substrate having a non-planar profile which matches the profile of the molding surfaces; overlaying the first substrate on the second substrate and matching their non-planar profile to form a combined substrate; placing a third substrate in the mold with the combined substrate, sandwiching the first substrate; and shaping the third substrate with the combined substrate in the mold resulting in the third substrate having a non-planar profile which matches the profile of the molding surfaces, thereby forming a seamless structure for the headwear.

In a manufacturing method of a design member for transferring a decorative layer onto a design surface of a base body, the manufacturing method provides a recessed parting groove that is formed in at least a part of a border between a general surface and the design surface, arranges the base body in a chamber having a gas pressure adjusting device, places a transfer film on the design surface of the base body, and, with changing a gas pressure in the chamber by the gas pressure adjusting device to crimp the transfer film onto the design surface, presses the transfer film against the design surface under a heated state by a three-dimensional transferring tool made of an elastic body.

    Abstract: A method of encoding data includes determining a magnitude of change between a first value associated with first data and a second value associated with second data based on a comparison of the first value and the second value. The first value is encoded into a first set of bits having a first number of bits. The method includes determining, based on the comparison of the first value and the second value, a second number of bits (that is less than the first number of bits) to be used to encode the magnitude of change. The method includes encoding the magnitude of change into a second set of bits having the second number of bits. The method further includes sending the second set of bits and a first indicator, with the first indicator indicating that the magnitude of change is encoded into the second number of bits.
