Abstract: A weighted apparatus for use with a dress, skirt, blouse or other article of clothing to prevent the wind or other moving air from raising a lower end of the clothing. The weighted apparatus has a first member comprising a metal plate positioned against the outer surface of the lower end of the clothing and a second member comprising one or more magnets positioned against the inner surface of the clothing to magnetically engage the metal plate with the clothing between the first and second members. The first member is coated, covered or otherwise configured in corresponding or contrasting relation to the outer surface of the clothing. The first member can have a cover material with a pattern that matches, compliments or contrasts with the clothing. The first member can have a decorative item with a design. The second member can have a base plate that supports the magnets.

Abstract: A thermal energy dissipating garment may include a first garment portion having a perimeter defined by at least a first side and a second garment portion having a perimeter defined by at least a vent side. The first garment portion and the second garment portion are discontinuously affixed to each other at defined intervals along a surface of each portion proximate to the first side and the vent side creating a vent seam having a plurality of ducts/scalloped vents for directing air towards a body of a wearer. The plurality of scalloped vents are oriented with an angle of attack that redirects air from the exterior of the garment to the interior of the garment to increase air movement along a wearer's skin.

Abstract: An energy management structure is adapted to absorb a force applied thereto. The structure includes a first component possessing a first compressive response profile, a second component possessing a second compressive response profile different from the first compressive response profile, and a third component connecting the first component to the second component. Upon application of a force, the second compressive response profile of the second component is additive to the first compressive response profile of the first component to result in an overall compressive response profile of the energy management structure that meets a design compressive response profile.
