Abstract: Implementations of an arm sleeve that provides external assistance to an arm and shoulder of a user during an arm motion are provided. In one implementation, the arm sleeve comprises a framework that includes a torso portion configured to be attached to the torso of the user and an arm portion configured to receive at least a portion of the arm of the user. The framework of the arm sleeve is a unitary construction of interconnected elastic members that define openings therebetween. The interconnected elastic members include a first elastic member configured to play an active part throughout an overhead throwing motion, a second elastic member configured to decrease the concentric contraction force necessary for shoulder abduction during the cocking phase of a throwing motion, and a third elastic member configured to assist eccentrically contracting muscles during the deceleration phase of a throwing motion. In another implementation, the framework of the arm sleeve is encased by an elastomeric cover.

Abstract: A tactical cummerbund for use with a tactical vest having a right, front vest connector and a left, front vest connector. The cummerbund includes an elastic connecting band and a protective right side portion and protective left side portion which connect to opposite ends of the connecting band. The connecting band may be positioned in the center of a channel in the back panel of the tactical vest such that it is protected from the elements. The connections of the right side portion and left side portion to the connecting band are adjustable to adjust the girth of the cummerbund.

Abstract: A light system is provided that can be removably coupled to a layer of material, such as clothing, to provide hands-free illumination for tasks and activities (e.g., while walking, running, reading, writing) at low level light conditions. The light system includes a light module with one or more light sources, a power source and one or more magnetic elements or magnetically responsive modules. The light system also includes a backing plate removably coupleable to the light module so that the layer of material is interposed between the light module and the backing plate. The backing plate has one or more magnetic elements or magnetically responsive modules. When removably coupled to said layer of material, the light module and backing plate remain substantially in place even when the layer of material is under motion.

Abstract: Bulletproof vests, body armor, and other tactical vests with quick release buckle mechanisms are described along with methods of their use. The multi-point buckle mechanisms release upon rotating a shaft, allowing the vest panels and straps to fall cleanly to the ground without knocking the wearer off balance. Waist belt clips allow a wearer to put the vest on over his or her head without engaging the emergency release, or the multi-point buckle mechanism can release only the waist straps upon rotating the shaft in the opposite direction. A flap protects the rotatable quick release mechanism from inadvertent activation.

Abstract: A strap-type watch band construction is fabricated from a blank. The blank includes three sections. A first section is folded over forming a double layer portion that is stitched and secures a buckle and a keeper and supports a watch casing, which is preferably slidably supported thereon. A second section is a single layer of the blank, extends from the first section, and includes apertures therethrough for receiving the buckle. A third section extends from the second section and is folded over to form a tip portion. The third section improves gripping and facilitates insertion of the tip portion through the buckle and the keeper. The single layer construction of the second section facilitates putting the watch band construction on the wrist as it is flexible and tends to form around the wrist.

Sewn to the inside of the suit is a one piece harness. The detached hood consists of a three layer hood of flame resistant material with a neck drape of one layer of flame resistant material and a protected face opening of two layers of flame resistant material.

Abstract: A system and method for handling flexible straps, such as ductwork straps, utilizes a highly adaptable quiver-type harness. The harness has an elongated sleeve that is designed to receive and accommodate the flexible straps, and is designed to be worn by a user in one of two different and reversible positions. The harness may be worn around the waist of the user, or over one shoulder of the user in a traditional quiver-like position. The harness has a completely adjustable body strap that configures the harness in either the waist position or the quiver position.

Abstract: A roping and suspension harness is manufactured from a cushioned fabric the opposite lateral edges whereof at the level of the belt and leg loops are reinforced by support biases providing mechanical strength. The strap member also has an adjustment mechanism located at a point where the looped portion joins the non-looped portion. The adjustment mechanism allows the strap member to be adjusted in length. Lastly, the strap member includes an attachment mechanism located on said non-looped portion which allows the strap member to be opened and closed.

Abstract: The present invention provides a system, method of manufacture and method of use that provides for an easily changeable costume system that allows for quick costumes changes without having to entirely undress and allows for the purchase of add on decorative items to allow for costume changes without having to buy an entirely new costume. According to a preferred embodiment, an interchangeable costuming system is disclosed comprising: a washable foundation with a plurality of first ends of an attachment device fixedly attached; and at least one non-washable decorative cover with at least two second ends of an attachment device fixedly attached. The second ends of the attachment device are intended to removably attach the non-washable decorative cover to the washable foundation so as to provide a washable garment with a non-washable decorative cover. Additional decorative items may be added on.

The lower torso support component may include a support belt for encircling the child's waist and a crotch support member extending from the front portion of the support belt to the rear portion of the support belt. In certain embodiments, the handle is connected to the front and rear portions at mounts spaced apart by a flex length which is less than the handle length such that the handle flexes to provide a handle void to facilitate grasping the handle.

Abstract: In a state where a parent wears an adult garment and carries a baby in a laid-down manner with a child carrier, female buckles of upper connection tools provided on the adult garment are connected to male buckles of the child carrier, and a ring-shaped buckle of a lower connection tool provided on the adult garment engages with a clip of the child carrier. With this configuration, it is possible to provide an adult garment, a child garment, and parent and child clothing which are almost the same in appearance with regular clothing when worn, have a function as a baby carrier and a harness therefor, are fashionable and casual, and can be used by a man without uncomfortable feeling.

The back support belt brace system is worn around the waist and the lumbar region of a wearer. The suspension system is worn around the chest and upper back of a wearer, similar to a vest.

The one or more knot components are mounted to the outside surface of the band and depend therefrom to define a pair of tail portions. Abstract: A protective shoulder pad which is adapted to be worn on either the right or left shoulder of a wearer for supporting a load, and which includes a protective pad having a band forming an underarm loop connected adjacent one side thereof, and a pair of body straps connected adjacent the opposite side of the protective pad with the free ends of the body strap having complementary fastening means for securing the free ends of the body straps in a readily releasable manner so that when worn, one arm of the wearer is slipped through the underarm loop with the body strap being diagonally extended along the back and front of the wearer so that the free ends are secured in a readily releasable manner on the front of the wearer.

Abstract: A load supporting waist belt comprising four separate articulated sections including front and rear belt straps and right and left hip pieces with adjustable connectors on the front and rear belt straps allowing adjustment for waist size and location of hip sections squarely on the wearer's hips. The hip pieces are stiff members capable of supporting tool hangers, pouches and the like and are provided with accompanying hip pads for contacting the wearer's hips. Brackets are used to lower the load attachment points to a position below the waist and in the area of the connection of the thigh bone to the hip of the wearer. A slide bar release mechanism is disclosed for detachably connecting loads to the support pivots. A shoulder harness is connected at pivotal anchor points on each hip section.

Abstract: A kit for supporting a pair of trousers on a wearer's body comprises a plurality of connectors for connection to the upper part of the trousers at two pairs of spaced locations at the front and rear of the trousers. The kit also includes a belt for attachment to the connectors such that the belt extends from the one of the connectors in the front of the trousers upwards along the wearer's chest and over the wearer's shoulder down the wearer's back and connected to one of the connectors at the rear of the trousers and extending along the wearer's back towards and connected to the second one of the connectors at the rear of the trousers. The belt then extends upwardly along the wearer's back and over the wearer's other shoulder down the wearer's chest towards and connected to the other one of the connectors at the front of the trousers. A method for supporting a pair of trousers on a wearer's body is also provided.

Abstract: A new sunlight blocking sleeves for protecting the skin on the arms and shoulders of a wearer from sunlight. The inventive device includes a pair of sleeves with each sleeve having opposite wrist and shoulder openings and which is adapted for wearing on the arm and shoulder of a wearer the sleeve. An elongate flexible strap is coupled to the sleeve around the periphery of the shoulder. The flexible strap has a free end portion which is attachable to another portion of the flexible strap to hold the sleeve over the shoulder of a wearer.

Abstract: The invention is an exercise garment having an integrally formed support bra. The exercise garment includes an upper bra portion for providing support to the user. Connected to the upper portion is a lower, stretchable fabric portion for covering the torso of the user. The upper and lower portions are joined at an elastic support member disposed below the breasts of the user. The upper and lower portions of the garment cooperate with each other so that each portion maintains its position on a user during vigorous exercise or dance.

Abstract: A back support belt comprising a primary support belt including fasteners for fastening the same generally at the frontal area of the waist of the wearer, and a secondary tensioning belt comprising fasteners for fastening the same around the primary support belt generally at the frontal area of the waist of the wearer is provided, and includes back support belt color tensioning indicators on the secondary tensioning belt which are visible only from the rear and side areas of the waist of the wearer, and thus not by the wearer, and which are operable to indicate both when the back support belt is properly tensioned around the waist of the wearer, and when the back support belt is not properly tensioned around the waist of the wearer. The back support belt color tensioning indicators are operable to indicate proper and improper tensioning of the support belt independently of the relationship between the size of the support belt and the waist size of the wearer to thus be virtually foolproof in operation.

Abstract: A Shoulder Protector Guard harness having a appearance as suspenders with attached shoulder pads to protect each shoulder of a wearer from bruises, lacerations and other injuries caused by heavy construction materials. Each pad is held in place by a vertical suspender strap at its front and back. The vertical straps attach to the wearer's belt or pants with clamps to hold the shoulder protector in place. A horizontal center strap attached to each vertical strap holds each vertical strap in place thereby assisting the secure placement of the shoulder pads on the shoulders of the wearer.

Abstract: An apparatus is provided for therapeutic exercising of the scapula related muscles of a body. A scapula harness fits tightly over a shoulder and an upper arm of the body and extends over a breast and an opposing scapula area of the body. The harness has a plurality of attachment straps, each of which has a downwardly extending attachment end. A plurality of urging springs are each connected to one of the attachment ends and establish a variable tension force to each attachment strap. A plurality of tensioning straps are each connected at one end to one of the urging springs so that a force applied to any one of the tensioning straps causes one of the urging springs to extend. A seat has a horizontal, upward facing surface for supporting the body in a seated position, a peripheral edge, and at least one holding clamp for holding the straps in fixed positions and under a desired tension.
