Abstract: A flexible belt has a single male engagement member at one longitudinal end portion and a plurality of closely spaced female engagement members at its other longitudinal end portion. A belt keeper is supported near one longitudinal end portion of the belt to align the longitudinal end portions transversely when the single male engagement member engages one of the closely spaced female engagement members when the belt is tightened against the waist of a wearer. The belt composed of an inner lamina and an outer lamina to support a base member for each engagement member and for the belt keeper is constructed and arranged to hide from view the engagement members and the belt keeper when the belt is tightened around the waist and is free of any bulk increasing mass or localized folding that increases the bulkiness of the belt. If the belt has a buckle, the latter is used for belt ornamentation rather than connecting the longitudinal end portions of the overlapping end portions of the belt.

Abstract: A back support belt comprising a primary support belt including fasteners for fastening the same generally at the frontal area of the waist of the wearer, and a secondary tensioning belt comprising fasteners for fastening the same around the primary support belt generally at the frontal area of the waist of the wearer is provided, and includes back support belt color tensioning indicators on the secondary tensioning belt which are visible only from the rear and side areas of the waist of the wearer, and thus not by the wearer, and which are operable to indicate both when the back support belt is properly tensioned around the waist of the wearer, and when the back support belt is not properly tensioned around the waist of the wearer. The back support belt color tensioning indicators are operable to indicate proper and improper tensioning of the support belt independently of the relationship between the size of the support belt and the waist size of the wearer to thus be virtually foolproof in operation.

Abstract: A shooter's support belt that can be used by competition shooters, police officers, service personnel, security officers and others to simultaneously support a wearer's lower back while virtually immobilizing an outer gun holster and belt to increase gun draw speed, whereby the support belt provides a relatively stiff support platform having hook and loop fastening material permanently attached between the belt ends and a fastening strap extending from one end lined on both sides with hook and loop fastening material so that 360.degree. of hook and loop fastening material is always provided for releasably attaching an outer belt and holster system having a corresponding hook and loop liner.

Abstract: An elastic (1) belt with a buckle (2) and having an adjustment slide (3) for waist size adjustment and "Race Number Attachment System" (4 and 5) which consists of 2 small dangling elastic pieces which are stitched (7B and 7C) at one end to the belt. These 2 dangling elastic pieces (4) are fed through the 2 top holes in a race number indicator sign. The 2 dangling elastics (4) are long enough to accept a variety of different size race numbers. Abstract: A combination tool and apparel belt for carrying tools and maintaining a wearer's trousers. The belt comprises a main belt member, a lower tool belt member, an upper apparel belt member. The tool and apparel belt members both emerge from two end sections of the main belt member. The tool and apparel belt members secure around the user's waist by buckle and hole fastening means. The apparel belt member is adapted to be threaded through the trouser loops of a wearer and the tool belt member carriers tools.

Abstract: The stabilizing belt comprises a pliable belt band, means for securing the band about the waist of the forward person of a tandem pair, and at least two discrete hand grip assemblies for the rearward person of the tandem pair. Each of the hand grip assemblies is adjustable to different locations along the belt band and yet is securely held at a selected location along the belt band when the belt band is secured in taut condition about the waist of the forward person. An anchor member is the base structure of each hand grip assembly. It is mounted on the belt band for adjustability along the belt band. A loop of material is then carried by the anchor member and has a portion in spaced relationship from the belt band for hand gripping by the rearward person.

Abstract: A finished belt simulating a leather belt has in combination a finished belt strap and a finished buckle. The finished belt strap includes an unfinished molded plastic strap having a thin plastic front layer of light color and a continuous relatively thick plastic back layer of relatively dark color, and a film of finish disposed on the exposed surface of the strap front layer. The finished belt buckle includes an unfinished coextruded molded plastic buckle having a thick flexible plastic front layer of light color and a relatively thin rigid plastic back layer of relatively dark color, and a fiom of finish disposed on the exposed surface of the buckle front layer. The finished belt has in combination the finished belt strap and the finished belt buckle with the light colors being the same, the dark colors being the same, and the finish colors being the same.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a wedding grown train hoop that is provided with a wrist strap that enables the bride or dress wearer to carry and support the hoop about the wrist. In particular, the wedding train hoop of the present invention entails a hoop having first and second ends connected together by a friction pin or screw. A decorative sock is disposed about the hoop and includes a wrist section that is formed at the juncture of the first and second ends of the hoop and extends from the hoop to form a wrist strap or loop.

Abstract: A belt designed to simulate the appearance of an expensive leather belt comprises a belt strap to form exclusively of molded plastic and having its front face and edge substantially uniformly machine finished. A fastener is secured to the belt strap adjacent one end thereof for operatively fastening the one strap end to the other strap end.

Abstract: A belt is constructed with a decorative front portion of any design and first and second belt portions secured at opposite ends of the belt front for adjustable fastening. One of the ends of the belt portions is provided with a loop through which the other end of a belt portion is inserted and looped upon itself adjustably to bring "Velcro" (trademark) loop means into concealed engagement with barb-like hook members. The "Velcro" is a continuous, co-extensive strip of loop and hook members which is sewed to the inside of one of the end portions and is concealed inside the back of the belt.

The adjusting band is pinched immovable between a positioning flap and a short tube of the band pincher. The positioned flap is able to be pivotally turned up or down to pinch immovable the adjusting band between itself and the short tube after the length of the adjusting band has been adjusted between the two rings.

Abstract: This invention relates to a unique safety harness particularly designed for use with all-terrain type vehicles so as to prevent possible injury to the operator of the vehicle. The safety harness includes a belly strap secured to the vehicle body with a pair of leg restraints removably attached to the belly strap and to each leg of the operator, wherein the leg restraints prevent the legs of the operator from extending downwardly from the vehicle and dangerously contacting the road or ground surface.

A correspondingly shaped member is provided for being secured in the first member by suction. A belt having an adjustable buckle is also provided to which the coupling is attached. The buckle of the belt is adjustable in two manners. The first is gross adjustment and the second is fine adjustment so that the belt can be worn by users of all ages.

Abstract: A back support belt formed of a relatively rigid material having a width of 31/2 to 6 inches and a method of limiting the movement of a person in preventing lower back injury are disclosed. The belt reduces risk of lower back injury by restricting movement of the wearer, applying bio-mechanical directed forces to specific areas of the midsection and lateral trunk of the wearer and by utilizing pressure points which remind the wearer to use proper lifting techniques and good body mechanics.

Abstract: A belt or other band-like article adapted to be worn around the waist, hips or other body part of a user and with or without a separate buckle. The belt includes a length of material having a free end and a loop loosely retained at its other end. The belt is worn in one mode by wrapping it around the user's waist and passing the free end through the loop. After being pulled taut, the free end is passed under and around the belt beyond the loop, doubled back on itself, and passed back through the loop. In another mode, a separate buckle is secured on the belt by passing the free end through the buckle and then through the loop. The belt is then secured around the user's waist using the buckle in the manner described above for the loop.

Abstract: A weight belt which a diver can release quickly and swing free and clear of the diver's legs and gear with one hand in case of an emergency. The ends of a waist encircling piece of webbing are threaded through corresponding male and female parts of a buckle. The male part has a transversely extending hook formed at a forward end thereof. The female part has a transversely extending post at a forward end thereof and a transversely extending hook receiving cavity. The hook can be inserted into the cavity to engage and surround the post when the male and female parts of the buckle extend substantially at a right angle relative to one another. The male and female parts can thereafter be rotated so that they are in substantial longitudinal alignment and lie flat against the diver's body. The male and female parts cannot more transversely or longitudinally with respect to each other in this alignment.

Abstract: An adjustable two part belt with locking means comprises elongated belt members which overlap each other and transverse members connected to the ends of the overlapping portions of the belt members and at least partially encircling the corresponding portions of the belt members. At least one of the transverse members includes a clamp means in the form of a metallic strip which encircles at least a portion of the overlapping belt members and which is bendable to clamp the overlapping portions of the belt members against each other to maintain the length adjustment of the belt. The metallic strip means is preferably in a C-shape.

Abstract: A non-constrictive, resilient strap having flattened elongated links, each pair of links being rigidly joined together by a neck of solid material through which the centerline of the strap passes. The longitudinal axis of each link is disposed perpendicular to the centerline. The strap is formed of a plastic in a single injection molding operation. The chemical composition of the strap determines the rate at which it flexs in response to an applied force. For use in protective devices for athletes such as knee braces, the straps are formed of polyethylene or of polypropylene in order to provide adequate support and at the same time allow freedom of muscle movement.The strap is self-interlocking. Alternately, the strap may be fastened to a buckle formed of plastic having a keeper which engages a pair of slots disposed on either side of one of the necks of the strap.
