Abstract: A device for adjusting the fit of a garment may include a monorail track with a plurality of rail teeth spaced along a length thereof; a rail carriage slidably engaged with the monorail track; and a button operatively attached to the rail carriage, wherein at least one of the rail carriage and the button includes a locking device to removably engage with the plurality of track teeth. The locking device may be a trigger post with a button tooth, an engagement pin, a pinch clamp, a leaf spring, or the like. Size adjustment of a garment may be accomplished by sliding the button to a desired position of the monorail track and locking the button into place with the locking device.

Abstract: An enclosure may be provided with a housing. The housing may have an opening that separates and joins along a seam. A magnetic closure may have a pair of mating flexible magnetic members such as flexible rings or strips that run along the seam. Magnetic-field shunts may be provided in the flexible magnetic members. Multiple magnetic elements may be formed along the length of each magnetic member to form a multipole permanent magnet. Magnetic attraction may be varied along the lengths of the magnetic members and may be varied as a function of the separation between opposing magnet members. A magnetic clasp may be provided on the housing. The magnetic clasp may have attracting magnets to help close the opening in the housing. Protruding clasp portions may be formed from flexible material and may have embedded magnets configured to repel each other to facilitate use of the clasp.

Abstract: A secure and comfortable ankle, arm, thigh, knee and/or bra apparatus to keep microphone and Interruptible Foldback (IFB) boxes in place for women in front of a camera. The apparatus includes a strap, a first removable pocket, and a second removable pocket. The strap comprises a composite material and includes a securing mechanism. The first removable pocket is detachably coupled to the strap and is configured to hold an IFB. The second removable pocket is detachably coupled to the strap and is configured to hold a microphone. The second removable pocket is smaller than the first removable pocket.

Abstract: A multi-rider vehicle retention apparel system includes a jacket and one or more gloves. The jacket includes loop fasteners on the front face of the jacket, on both the left and right sides. The gloves have palms covered with hook fasteners able to releasably attach to the loop fasteners on the jacket. In use, the jacket may be worn by a vehicle operator, and the gloves may be worn by a rider seated behind the operator. Using the gloves, the rider may be able to very securely hold onto the operator while riding on the vehicle, reducing fear of losing grip.

Abstract: A Diastasis Recti Splinting Garment is described which includes a plurality of attached torso straps and pelvic straps which the user wraps around their body and connects to the garment so as to approximate the 2 sides of the abdominal wall, providing support to the linea alba and fascial sheathes to allow for tissue healing. Furthermore, the adjustable angled straps encircle the torso and pelvis of the user to restore the integrity of the core, providing stability to the ribcage, spine and pelvis. Restoring the integrity of the core lends itself to optimal activation of the deep core stabilizers, including the abdominal muscles as well as the musculature of the pelvic floor, back, and diaphragm. This in turn aids in dynamic stability of the spine, ribcage and pelvis.

Abstract: A bra strap ornament assembly includes a panel that has a concealed side and an exposed side. The panel is positionable to extend across a torso strap of a strapless brassiere having the exposed side being exposed to conceal the torso strap. A pair of belts is each coupled to the panel. Each of the belts is matable to themselves to form a closed loop thereby facilitating each of the belts to be secured around the torso strap of the strapless brassiere. A pair of hooks is each coupled to a respective one of the belts. Each of the hooks releasably engages the respective belt when the respective belt is wrapped around the strap of the brassiere for tightening the belt around the strap.

Abstract: A patient mobility garment includes a flexible, laterally extending pelvic belt body having upper, lower, and opposite side borders, along with a plurality of spaced apart ribs placed in generally vertical directions substantially approaching or spanning the upper and lower borders; a plurality of loops vertically positioned with respect to one another about the ribs; a plurality of flexible, adjustable length girding straps horizontally oriented with respect to the pelvic belt body and configured to gird the pelvic belt body about a patient's pelvis area and bring the opposite side borders into conjunction or registry, each girding strap having a girding strap attaching member for fixation of the girding straps; a plurality of flexible, typically adjustable length shoulder straps; and a plurality of flexible, depending leg straps, each terminating in a fastener for engaging at least one of the vertically positioned loops. Busy nurses find it advantageous.

The dismountable pocket is removably engaged within a cavity of the cummerbund central portion utilizing a hook/loop system. A zipper is positioned on the first wall of the cummerbund body permitting access to the cavity therein. The dismountable pocket has a second zipper connecting the first and second pocket surfaces and permitting access to the storage cavity within the pocket. The cummerbund is configured to rest flat on the torso of the user while personal items are stored therein.

Abstract: A closure device for connecting two parts includes a first closure part which includes a first surface with an arrangement of first structure elements arranged thereon and a second closure part which includes a second surface with an arrangement of second structure elements arranged thereon. The first closure part and the second closure part are to be positioned together in such a manner that the first surface of the first closure part faces the second surface of the second closure part such that the first structure elements and the second structure elements engage in one another in such a manner that movement of the closure parts relative to one another along a load direction is blocked.

Abstract: A ratchet belt worn by a user to support a plurality of firearms, tactical gear and equipment thereon is provided. The ratchet belt includes a flexible strip designed to support any number of the plurality of firearms, tactical gear and equipment thereon, a ladder strap coupled to the flexible strip and having a plurality of teeth, and a ratchet assembly coupled to the flexible strip and having a crank arm rotatably mounted to a buckle where the crank arm is designed to engage with one of the plurality of teeth on the ladder strap. The flexible strip is disposed around the user to permit the first end of the ladder strap to insert through the buckle of the ratchet assembly. The crank arm is rotatably adjusted to engage with one of the plurality of teeth in the ladder strap to enable the flexible strip to conform to the user.

Abstract: A spinal orthosis includes a rear panel, and first and second belt members securing to the rear panel. The first and second belt members each define a first end secured to a first side of the rear panel and a second end having a foldable portion adapted to fold over a first surface of the first and second belt members and secure to the first surface to reduce a length of the first and second belt members. First and second front closures are secured to the second ends of the first and second belt members, respectively, and arranged for removably securing to one another to form a continuously circumferential loop with the rear panel and the first and second belt members. A kit or method may be provided for sizing the belt members with a sizing device for forming a predetermined distance between the first and second belt members.

Abstract: A portable apparatus for providing chest therapy to a user may include a wearable pack. A chest band may be coupled to the wearable pack. The chest band may include one or more chest band segments and may be configured to be worn around a chest of the user. A plurality of vibrating elements may be coupled to the one or more chest band segments. The plurality of vibrating elements may provide a vibrational force to the chest of the user when the chest band is worn around the chest of the user. The portable apparatus may further include a nebulizer treatment component, which may also be coupled to the wearable pack. A user input component may be electrically coupled to the plurality of vibrating elements and the nebulizer treatment component.

Abstract: A breast support system having a support connected to a breast lift member for maintaining a user's breasts in a suspended position. The support preferably includes a leg that is substantially linear or that includes a slight bend therein, wherein the leg can contact the user's torso and rest flush thereagainst. The breast lift member supports the underside of a breast of the user and includes a crescent shape in order to conform to the natural contours of a woman's breast in order to support and lift the same. The support is flexible so as to allow the user to move about as desired without having the device become dislodged or removed. The support can frictionally secured to the user or may include an adhesive thereon. Further, the breast lift member can be disposed at an angle relative to the support in order to comfortably support the wearer's breast.

Areas of mating types of fastener material such as mating hook-bearing fastener material and loop pile fastener material are arranged on the device to enable a strap to be secured at various effective lengths to provide a wide range of adjustability. The device may include inflatable bladders, stays, and a chin support and may be wrapped around a patient's neck as a cervical support collar.

Abstract: A clothing support system is provided, which includes a clothing support article for providing support to a portion of a user's body. The clothing support article has front and rear panels of a substantially non-elastic fabric, for the support of a portion of the user's body. The front and rear panels are attached together by first and second side panels, which include a fabric of two-way elasticity which is stretchable between the front and rear panels. The clothing support system may further include a tension strap having a central support portion and two ends which are attachable to the front panel, to thereby provide enhanced support to a user's body. A method for providing support to a user's body is also provided, wherein tension is applied to the tension strap of the clothing support system.

The belt includes a pair of second stretch markings marking a second distance when in a relaxed state and a predetermined third distance when in a stretched state. In a relaxed state, the first stretch markings are positioned in conjunction with or within the second stretch markings allowing the chassis to be attached to the belt in the relaxed state via the first fasteners and allowing the belt to be stretched into the third distance without jeopardizing the fastening of the first fasteners.

Abstract: Water-resistant waders may incorporate a waist lock system to reduce the likelihood of water entering the waders below the wearer's waist area while the waders are being worn during water-based activities, such as fishing or hunting. The waders may include a waist lock system formed of a ring of water-resistant material that may be firmly positioned around the waist area of the wearer such that it may create a flap and seal structure. If water reaches the top portion of the waist lock system, the waist lock system generally may prevent or at least minimize the water that may penetrate the waist lock system and enter the waders, particularly below the wearer's waist area, such as the wearer's feet and legs.

Abstract: The invention discussed includes a durable antimicrobial strap made using a polymer material, including plastics or vinyl, or a combination thereof, which have been enhanced through the integration of antimicrobial material adapted to kill microbes. The antimicrobial strap may be used in applications including but not limited to gait belts, helmet harness, and seat belts in child safety seats where the strap controls the level of cross-contamination by killing unwanted microbes that contact the strap and thereby, prevents the spread of disease and infections. A belt such as a child safety restraint made by a method of applying heat to the belt strap ends to form loops between the ends and the belt is also presented.

There are at least two support straps configured to releasably interlock with the vertical receiving channel and a plurality of straps secured to an outer surface of the body armor to form a support trough that transfers at least a portion of the weight of the body armor to the waist of the wearer. There is a closure device to secure the side members to each other to secure the belt substantially around the wearer's waist.

Abstract: A compression wrap for providing pressure to an injured portion of a joint of a limb is provided. The compression wrap includes a pocket portion for receiving compression insert. The compression wrap further includes a strap connected to the pocket portion and adjustably securing the compression wrap to the limb. A buckle loop connected to the opposite side of the pocket portion as the strap adjustably receives the strap to adjust the size of the strap. Further, the strap portion and the pocket portion are configured such that when the compression wrap is attached to the limb of a person having an injury proximate the joint, the pocket portion is positionable to apply a load to the location of the injury while the strap portion is spaced away from the crease of the joint.

Abstract: A decorative Velcro strap enables a dual purpose usage to secure both mittens and socks on infant boys and girls from loss or removal. A dual layer, fabric overlay, Velcro strap loops around and encircles the infant's mitten at the wrist or its sock at the ankle. The wrist or ankle-facing inside layer of the Velcro strap consist of tiny hooks, which adhere to the mitten or sock holding it in place. The ambient-facing outside layer is a decorative fabric of various colors and designs that directly overlies and is sewn onto the ankle-facing Velcro layer. A length of the opposing Velcro strip of hairier loops overlies and is sewn onto one end of the fabric layer. A decorative patch overlies and is sewn onto the other end of the fabric layer. The strap is secured around the mitten or sock by connecting the two opposing Velcro ends together.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods for retaining clothes on a child are provided wherein an elastic ring can be stretched to slide over top of the clothes and leg, and situate on an ankle area of the child. The apparatus and methods can be used when a child is wearing clothing such as a footed pajama, to keep the foot inside the footed area. In addition, the apparatus and methods can be used when a child is wearing pants that are too long, to retain the pant-leg above the foot and prevent the child from tripping. Further, the apparatus and methods can be used when a child is wearing footwear, such as socks or boots, to keep the footwear from falling off the child's foot. The apparatus can be independent and not fixed to the clothing, allowing the apparatus to be used on various garments, interchanged, and washed separately.

Abstract: One example of the invention describes a belt that is to be used by uniformed professional field personnel (e.g. law enforcement, fire, park department, search and rescue, private security, utilities personnel, military, etc.). Some examples of the invention introduce many new features which allow for improved access, comfort, reliability, ruggedness and cosmetics. In one embodiment, the description describes a metal rail on a belt, to which accessories attach. The other items of the inventions are the details of the buckle and its various designs. Other attachments and accessories, plus various setups and arrangements for the belts and buckles, are also presented here.

Abstract: This embodiment relates to leg garters for fashion wear, it is the goal of this embodiment to improve articles of this character toward new, versatile, and serviceable applications of wear. The embodiment includes the application of magnetic and mechanical closure options that improve the safety, support, adjustable sizing, fastening and marketing actions of leg garters. The mechanical closure includes hook and eye tape, snaps, etc. The magnetic closure is adapted for excess banding of materials and measurement adjustability for the garter. Synchmnously, the embodiment offers a new and useful purpose of converting leg garters into jewelry. An extended snap fastener is included for interchangeable ornaments. A box barrel clasp is added for ease of use and advertising advantage in the display of the garter. Lastly, the embodiment offers the new device of a magnetic buckle slider that assists with closure action and adjustability that also visually enhances the garter.

Abstract: A foldable fabric cuff for comfortably maintaining the position of a compression hosiery or other garment. The fabric cuff has a static region and a folding region, such that the open end of the compression garment is sandwiched between the static region and the folding region when the cuff is worn in the folded position. The static region of the cuff is provided with a gripping surface that secures the open end of the compression garment in a comfortable, static position.

Abstract: A martial arts belt includes a belt and a pair of Velcro fastener assemblies. The belt is long enough to encircle the waist of a student and is sized to fit around a user's twice and to leave enough length to tie a traditional martial arts knot in order to form an inner loop and an outer loop. Each Velcro fastener assembly includes a loop fastener and a hook fastener. Each loop fastener is attached to one of the external sides of the inner loops of the belt and each hook fastener is attached to one of the internal sides of the outer loops of the belt side so that each loop fastener is aligned with one of the hook fasteners.

The Pants Holding Suspender is worn right under chest and on the upper stomach, either on the skin or over under shirts, to hold pants up. The Pants Holding Suspender is either pulled over the head or pulled around the stomach and connected with metal or plastic connectors over the stomach and under the chest horizontally. Then two straps are connected to the front of the pants and one strap is connected to the back of the pants vertically with plastic or metal clips.

Abstract: Maternity wear of the invention accommodates the changing shape of a woman's body during pregnancy, minimizing the need for maternity clothes. In one aspect of the invention, pants or a skirt are worn with the upper end unfastened so as to conform to the shape of the swelling torso in pregnancy, and an elastic band shaped similarly to a tube top is worn generally around the waist, so as to overlap the top of the unfastened pants or skirt and retain them on the body. A top, such as a blouse or shirt, can be worn with its tail end extending over the band. In another aspect of the invention, too-large maternity clothing is worn with the band garment engaged over the upper end. If desired the band garment can be folded over on itself, thus doubling its thickness.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for accommodating and covering a varying sized abdomen and particularly the abdomen of a pregnant woman involving leaving a zipper opening of pants not intended to cover an enlarged girth at least partially open and using a garment to cover the opening in said pants by first interconnecting a pants button on one side of the opening to a buttonhole on the other side of the opening using a buttonhole elastic having elongate spaced slots as buttonholes and a double button to snugly secure the waistband of the non-maternity pants around a user's abdomen and using a flexible fabric garment to cover the zipper opening and, if desired, other selected portions of the abdomen of the user.

Abstract: A safety gripping device for use by a passenger riding a vehicle in tandem behind a vehicle operator. The device is in the form of a discrete article with ergonomically inclined handles at either end to be manually positioned by the passenger generally in front of the vehicle operator's torso. A first fixed tie is positioned at the outer edge of the second side region along the position of the waistband. A second fixed tie is secured to the inside of the waistband between the central body region and first side region.
