Abstract: A glove is disclosed having a donning assister to enable a wearer of the glove to quickly and easily don a glove on a wearer's hand. In one embodiment, the glove includes a wrist cuff portion, a hem portion positioned at a base of the wrist cuff portion, an at least partially enclosed space formed within the hem portion, and a gripper positioned in the at least partially enclosed space. The at least partially enclosed space is defined by hem stitches and by a pair of laterally opposed stitches positioned on the palm side of the glove anywhere along a circumference of the hem portion between a thumb of the glove on one end and a pinky finger of the glove on the other end.

Abstract: The disclosure provides conspicuity devices and methods. A first embodiment includes a glove with at least one elongate lighting device adapted and configured to admit light having an advantageous spectral energy distribution. Additional articles of clothing are provided herein for enhanced conspicuity, such as for emergency workers and athletes.

Abstract: A disposable personal protector shield mainly for individuals involved in food preparation in the food service industry, such as all types of restaurants, food trucks, grocery stores and the like. Alternatively, the disposable personal protector shield can be used for painters to be protected from splashes and spills. The disposable personal protector shield provides the user with an easy and convenient application using adhesive tape strip elements around its perimeter which can be attached directly to one's garment or skin. In addition, the disposable personal protector shield has an antimicrobial protection coating with antimicrobial properties that protect against growth of viruses, germs, mildew, bacteria and the like. The biodegradable material and the disposable personal protector shield can be easily discarded after each use. Even more so, the functionality of the disposable personal protector shield promotes good hygienic methods and practice for the preparation of food.

Abstract: The present invention provides a scrunches/towel combination which surrounds the palm of the user's hand that is involved in sporting or working activities and needs a towel for wiping perspiration from various parts of the body during these activities. While not in use, the towel can be folded within the palm of the hand through the scrunches.

Abstract: Implementations described herein include surgical helmet assemblies that have a helmet enclosure shaped to encircle a head of a user. The helmet enclosure retains a fan and includes a brow bar portion at a front of the helmet enclosure that is shaped to extend along a brow or a forehead of the user and having a light positioned therein. The helmet enclosure also includes a stabilizer extending downward from the helmet enclosure in front of the ears of a user, a face shield that is transparent and coupleable to at least the brow bar portion, a headband shaped to extend across an occiput region of the user's head, and a surgical garment for covering at least the head and shoulders of a user in use. The brow bar portion includes vents disposed therein to direct airflow pushed through the helmet enclosure from the fan onto the user.

Abstract: A vehicle occupant restraint device includes: a seat cushion on which an occupant is seated; a seat back that is provided on a seat rear side of the seat cushion so as to be pivotable in a seat front-rear direction and that supports a back of the occupant; an ottoman provided on a seat front side of the seat cushion so as to be pivotable in a seat up-down direction; and a fabric restraint member that is extended in a width direction of the ottoman to restrain a lower limb including a knee of the occupant when at least the ottoman is set in a raised position and the seat back takes a comfortable posture.

Abstract: A back-bracing apparatus and associated methods of use and/or manufacture are provided. The apparatus includes support and belt portions. The support portion includes a plurality of posterior ribs configured to abut and extend along a low back of a user and a bracing web component having a plurality of crossing structures coupling adjacent ribs. At least one rib includes first and second upper slots disposed at opposite sides of an upper portion of the rib and first and second lower slots disposed at opposite sides of a lower portion of the rib. The belt portion includes an inner strap coupled to the support portion and configured to wrap around a torso and a low back of the user, and upper and lower outer straps configured to pass through the first and second upper slots and the first and second lower slots, respectively, and wrap around the inner strap.

Abstract: A pillow that is worn on a body of a parent or caregiver to support the head of an infant or young child. The pillow includes a U-shaped shell having a central region and first and second legs that extend outwardly from opposite ends of the central region in a same direction as one another. A gap is bounded and defined the first leg, the central region, and the second leg. When the pillow is worn, the central region rests behind the parent or caregiver's neck and one of the first and second legs extends over each shoulder and onto their chest. Closure tabs secure the legs to one another. A separate pad is removably received within each of the first leg and the second leg. The central region is made up of two layers of fabric and is free of any pads or filler materials.

Abstract: Adjustable bell loop fastening devices configured to extend between two or more belt loops on a garment and to selectively lessen the distance there between the belt loops to secure the waistline of a garment to a wearer while concurrently minimizing the force and/or pressure applied to the wearer's abdominal region, especially for wearer's having chronic diseases and/or illnesses (e.g., Crohn's disease, irritable bowel syndrome, colitis, etc.) that frequently result in increased abdominal sensitivity and tenderness.

Abstract: A breast feeding assembly includes a reservoir that is fillable with a nourishing fluid. A nipple is removably attachable to the reservoir to be suckled by an infant thereby facilitating the infant to consume the nourishing fluid. A pouch is wearable on a user's chest and the reservoir is removably positionable in the pouch. The pouch has a nipple opening therein and the nipple extends outwardly through the nipple opening when the reservoir is positioned in the pouch. A first belt is coupled to the pouch and the first belt is extendable around the user's chest for retaining the pouch on the user's chest. A second belt is coupled to the pouch, the second belt is extendable around the user's chest for retaining the pouch on the user's chest and the second belt is matable to the first belt.

Abstract: One embodiment is a flat body of material having a diagonal front pocket and opposing back pocket containing a secured counter weight. The open front pocket is internally lined with grip fabric. The pocket with grip liner enables the operator to hold the bottle securely in place. The slanted base of the front pocket holds the bottle at a comfortable angle to feed the infant. Within the longest portion of the material, there is an indent for shoulder placement. In addition, the back pocket is draped over the operator's back with a secured counter weight at the base of the pocket. The envelope flap of the back pocket covers the opening to the pocket.

Abstract: A protective article is disclosed including a sheet with a first surface, and at least one adhesive portion arranged on the first surface. The adhesive is a water-based adhesive, such as a water-based acrylic adhesive, that allows the sheet to be non-permanently adhered to an object. The adhesive may be sprayed, rolled, printed, or stamped onto the first surface.

A representative device includes a sash configured to rest across a shoulder of the user and be positioned over the user's torso, and a cradle supported by the sash and configured to support and secure a child in a generally horizontal position against a frontside of the user's body. The cradle can include a head region supported by one end of the sash and configured to support and secure the sides and back of the child's head, a body region supported by another end of the sash and configured to support the child's torso and legs, and a flap extending from the body region and configured to wrap at least partially around the child's body and a portion of the body region.

Abstract: A medical protective gown comprising a gown body. A centrally located orifice passes through a central region of a front panel of the gown body. A tubular protective sleeve extends forward from the front panel of the gown body, the tubular protective sleeve being located circumscribing the centrally located orifice. A tubular protective sleeve distal end panel is located at a distal end of the tubular protective sleeve. The tubular sleeve is adapted to receive a stethoscope or any other desired medical instrument. A broadened interior pocket is assembled to an interior surface of the gown body to support an upper, broader portion of the stethoscope or other instrument. A flange can be included with the tubular protective sleeve and/or the broadened interior pocket to aid in attachment to the gown body. The tubular protective sleeve can include a sleeve contraction system to contract the protective sleeve.

Abstract: This invention offers a fully protective cowl neck garment with various fasteners designed to attach additional protective gear, such as gloves and shoe coverings. Additionally, a temperature sensor shield is located on the hat and protective mask. This allows the clients or patients the ability to see and to monitor the temperature of their caregivers. The caregiver's temperature is visible on the hat, as well as the face mask. This makes the caregivers accountable to their clients or patients, as well as their colleagues and coworkers. This invention eliminates the worry of contact with infectious diseases or dangerous liquids, by utilizing elastic manual ties and hook-and-loop fasteners to ensure the garment is secured fully on a user's body. Overall, this invention ensures medical professionals, firemen, emergency medical personnel, government workers, and so forth, are protected fully from contagious and infectious diseases, liquids, and so forth.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a nursing cover is constructed of a flexible cover body that is configured to cover a mother's front, particularly areas exposed while nursing a baby. For convenience of reference, the cover body can be described in terms of a top end, a bottom end and two sides. A track is coupled to the top end of the cover, and at least one clip is slidingly engaged with the track to permit the clip to slide along the track. In this way, not only does the cover provide privacy protection to a nursing mother, but the cover also includes a slidable clip that can serve a variety of functions.

Abstract: A tool holder has a pouch with a front panel, back panel, and a closure that opens and closes access to an enclosed pouch compartment. The pouch has an outer tether opening from the pouch compartment to outside of the pouch. The pouch has a retractor pocket with a pocket opening to the outside and an inner tether opening to the pouch compartment. A retractable tether assembly is disposed in the retractor pocket with a tether extending into the pouch compartment via the inner tether opening and attaching to a closed loop connector at the distal tether end. The closed loop connector can be selectively decoupled from the distal tether end and is larger than the tether openings. Each retractable tether may be selectively configured to extend through an outer tether opening for connection to a hand tool located outside of the pouch when the pouch is closed.

Abstract: A bib assembly is disclosed, and includes a bib and a neck strap. The bib includes a bib body having a pair of strap connectors. The neck strap includes a pair of bib body connectors. One bib body connector (neck strap) is detachably connectable with one of the strap connectors (bib body). Another bib body connector (neck strap) is detachably connectable with the other of the strap connectors (bib body). At least two different coupling locations are possible between each bib body connector on the neck strap and its corresponding strap connector on the bib body to change a length of a loop that extends beyond a top edge of the bib body, all when the neck strap is detachably connected to the bib body.

Abstract: The invention provides a bib and apron apparatus having a first member defining a bib sized to be fitted around a user's neck and a second member defining an apron sized to cover the user's body between the stomach and legs. A pocket is located on the bib for housing snacks or other items essential to the user. The first member includes an attachment mechanism that connects to an attachment mechanism on the second member such that the connected first and second members covers nearly the full body of the user to prevent staining any portion of the user's clothing or for hygienic purposes. An apron having safety pockets for storing apron securing straps therein when the bib is attached thereto. The apron and bib further includes at least one safety flap for selectively covering and protecting the attachment mechanisms and/or a user's body.

Abstract: A symmetrical, reversible burp cloth may have a multi-layered body portion, a shoulder drape section, a front drape section, and a back drape section. All sections may be connected to form a shoulder saddle. A sleeve seam may extend along an outer edge of the shoulder saddle. An upper arm drape section may be affixed to the sleeve seam and may extend outwardly and depend downwardly at least to a mid-bicep region of the user when the cloth is in use. A nursing cover may be attachable to and detachable from the burp cloth. In some embodiments, a burp cloth may double as a nursing cover.

Abstract: A cut resistant sweater is provided including a chest portion, sleeves, collar, and closure extending from the top edge of the collar through at least part of the chest portion. The closure includes an opening extending from the top of the collar through at least part of the chest portion, and a strip having a first part of a hook and loop fastener thereon. A second part of the hook and loop fastener is disposed on the sweater in at least two pieces, a piece adjacent to a first side of the opening and a piece adjacent to a second side of the opening. The closure is stiff relative to the collar to support the collar. A method for manufacturing the sweater includes providing a cut resistant yarn, and knitting it into a sweater in the order of cuff of first sleeve, first sleeve, body and collar, second sleeve, and cuff of the second sleeve.

Abstract: One of the challenges for hospitals or clinics where X-ray machines are used is ensuring that the integrity of the apron that is used is intact. Once it has been established that a particular apron is fit for use, a process to identify and then track the apron becomes necessary due to the number of aprons that are stored in this size medical facility. A unique tamper resistant device is placed on the apron and then a unique identifier is placed on the unique tamper resistant device for ease of identification. Software is also incorporated to keep a log of all the activities related to a particular apron.

Abstract: The present invention is a napkin or bib that protects clothing of the user. The napkin or bib has an adhesive that holds the napkin or bib in position when the user's torso is in a generally vertical position. The adhesive is present on one side of the napkin or bib, but the adhesive is not covered by release tabs that must be removed from the napkin and disposed of prior to use.

Abstract: A protective apron that protects a soft-metal musical instrument, where in the apron may have one, two, or more layers. The outer layer prevents the soft-metal musical instrument from being scratched, dented, or tarnished while said instrument is being played. An inner layer may be used to inhibit moisture from the player from reaching the soft-metal musical instrument.

Abstract: A wearable shielding apparatus for protecting a wearer's clothing or body from spills and stray propellants while cosmetics are applied. The wearable shielding apparatus comprises a substantially rectangular bib structure, two flaps defined by a “U” shaped cutout opening in the top of the bib structure, a retaining hook in the bottom of the “U” shaped cutout opening and a front pocket. The flaps each include a weighted portion and are adapted to be draped over a user's shoulders while the bottom of the “U” shaped cutout opening comfortably engages the front of a wearer's neck. The front pocket is adapted to hold cosmetic application tools such as brushes when the wearable shielding apparatus is in use. When not in use, the retaining hook allows the wearable shielding apparatus to be hung on a wall hook or other mounting structure for storage.

Abstract: A single unit clothing cover and napkin made out of a perforatable and absorbent material that has an adhesive on the some of the edges of the clothing cover that allows for the arms of the clothing cover to attach to each other, or to the clothing of a user when is use. The clothing cover and napkin single unit can be made out of a perforated material that can be stored in tandem and connected with other clothing and napkin units on a roll, such as paper towel, or in packages for single use. The single unit clothing cover and napkin can be made out of a biodegradable and/or recyclable material.

Abstract: The invention relates to a romper suit for crawling babies, characterised in that it is made by using two types of fabric, namely: an inner fabric made from 100% cotton or a cotton and polyester mixture, which protects the baby's skin or clothing; and an outer mesh-type fabric made from 100% polyester or 100% nylon. The romper suit is provided with: a bies tape around the neck and armholes, which is made of the inner fabric; an elastic material sewn between the first and second fabrics at the waist, ankles and cuffs; protectors at the knees and the soles of the feet, comprising an inner padded layer and an outer ant-slip layer; and closing snaps or buttons on the upper part of the shoulder. The romper suit can be made with or without sleeves.

Abstract: A full coverage gown that is used in medical facilities is presented. The gown includes a urine catheter pocket affixed to the gown. The gown also includes a pair of ties affixed to the gown above the urine catheter pocket. The pair of ties is configured to loop and tie around a hook attached to a urine catheter bag to prevent a backflow of urine and to secure the urine catheter bag within the catheter pocket.

Abstract: A dental bib has a built-in sanitary collar that, in one embodiment, is completely detachable from the rest of the bib by tearing along a pre-perforated line between the main portion of the bib and the detachable portion of the bib. The main portion of the bib is secured to the wearer by mechanical means and worn over the chest as a bib, while the detached portion is separately secured to the wearer by mechanical means and worn around the neck as a sanitary collar. The two free ends of the detached portion of the bib can be secured around the neck as a collar with self-adhesive material or clips. Similarly, the main portion of the bib can be secured to the wearer using self-adhesive material or clips. In another embodiment, the sanitary collar is not completely detachable, but is formed by folding a portion of the bib around the neck.

Abstract: A multi-use accessory for an infant caregiver is an elongated fabric pad having first and second opposing edges with a first cut and second cut formed respectively therein. The first and second cuts are positioned at non-mirror-image locations that are along the first edge and second edge, respectively, and that are relative to a longitudinal axis of the pad. The first cut and the second cut are further separated by a distance measured along the pad's longitudinal axis. When the pad is draped over a caregiver's shoulder, one of the first and second cuts engages a portion of the caregiver's neck while a remaining one of the first and second cuts engages an upper portion of the caregiver's arm when the caregiver is supporting an infant against the pad with the arm.

Abstract: The combination of a garment and accessory such as a bib or other clothing accessory is provided wherein the accessory is removable from the garment. In addition, the accessory includes one or more of a predetermined color or design which matches or coordinates with a predetermined color or design of the garment. The accessory is removably attached to the garment by means of a removable attachment device such as magnetic fasteners, snaps or hook and loop fasteners. The accessory is constructed in two layers; the top layer of an absorbent fabric material that is coordinated with the color or pattern of the underlying garment and the bottom layer of a waterproof or water resistant material which prevents or impedes water or moisture captured by the accessory from being transferred to the garment underneath.

The caregiver cover provides adequate coverage of chest, shoulders, upper arms, and upper back of a caregiver to protect the caregiver's clothes from becoming soiled when burping, holding, bathing, or otherwise performing activities common to caring for a baby; and/or to provide adequate coverage for a nursing mother to maintain privacy while nursing without fully covering the baby; and/or to provide a comfortable surface for the baby. The body may be a soft, comfortable, absorbent fabric such as terry cloth, flannel, knit or the like and/or reversible. A neck fastener and/or a collar may be joined to the body. The body may be a single layer, a double layer, a triple layer, or multiple layers with a top panel, a middle panel, a bottom panel and/or multiple panels.

Abstract: The present invention is a pillow bib that generally comprises of a body portion and a plurality of adjustable straps. The body portion has a front panel and a rear panel. The front panel of the pillow bib includes an opening. The plurality of adjustable straps is provided with at least one fastening means on their free ends, for fastening the free ends together. In use, a pillow is inserted into the opening provided on the front panel of the pillow bib. The opening provides a storage space for the pillow. The pillow is in the shape of the opening, thus allowing a perfect fit. The size of the bib may be configured according to the size of the user. The bib can be tied across the shoulder in either direction, thus allowing the wearer to hold the child in either shoulder.

Abstract: A nursing canopy for concealing a nursing mother's upper front torso and infant is disclosed. The canopy comprises a panel of opaque fabric having dimensions sufficient to cover at least a region from the mother's upper chest to below the mother's breasts. A fastening strap can be attached to the upper edge of the panel for securing the panel around the mother's neck. A self-supporting neckline stiffener is located along the top edge of the panel and defines a self-supporting neckline of the panel. The neckline cooperates with the fastening strap to hold the neckline a spaced-apart distance from the mother, defining an open viewing area between mother and infant. A secondary self-supporting stiffener is provided on the panel at a distance below the neckline, the ends of which rest against the mother's sides to hold the panel a spaced-apart distance from the feeding infant.

Abstract: Nonwoven safety garments are described. Features of the stitching of some embodiments limit the number of particulates emitted from seams between cut edges. Attachments features may be included on the garments to enable secure, external attachment of measuring equipment. Doffing features, such as loops, are provided to help the wearer safely remove the garment, either by helping her pull off part or all of the garment or by starting to separate closure devices. In some embodiments, a repositionable closure on a neck flap covers the neck up to the bottom of a face mask or respirator, and a grasping tab helps the wearer safely open the repositionable closure and the neck flap.

Abstract: Novel aqueous polyurethane dispersions and shaped three dimensional articles formed therefrom are provided. The aqueous polyurethane dispersions are provided in solvent-free systems of a prepolymer comprising at least one polyether, polyester, or polycarbonate polyol, a mixture of MDI isomers, and a diol. The shaped articles from such dispersions can be heat-activated for bonding, lamination, and adhesion of substrates, including stretch fabrics.

Abstract: A garment protection device for infant care used in locations with limited infant care facilities. The device having a first and second portion. Either portions having a top, bottom and side edges. The portions connected together at one or more edges at two or more connection points; the bottom edge and one or more side edges having no connections or obstructions. The length of the device is at a minimum the length of an average adult user's body from shoulder down to the waist line. The width approximately an average adult user's shoulder width. Both portions having an external absorbent side and water resistant internal side. It may be donned or removed in one movement with one hand, with minimum movement, and accommodates both left and right handed individuals. It shields the user's front and back sides, provides private coverage for nursing mothers and may be disposable.

Abstract: The present invention is a pillow bib that generally comprises of a body portion and a plurality of adjustable straps. The body portion has a front panel and a rear panel. The front panel of the pillow bib includes an opening. The plurality of adjustable straps is provided with at least one fastening means on their free ends, for fastening the free ends together. In use, a pillow is inserted into the opening provided on the front panel of the pillow bib. The opening provides a storage space for the pillow. The pillow is in the shape of the opening, thus allowing a perfect fit. The size of the bib may be configured according to the size of the user. The bib can be tied across the shoulder in either direction, thus allowing the wearer to hold the child in either shoulder.

Abstract: A clothing protector that is easy to apply and remove. The clothing protector includes a bib portion and two elongated flaps. In use the flaps extend over a user's shoulders and hang down past the shoulder blades. The flaps have pockets for retaining small weights. A user can place weights in the pockets prior to donning the clothing protector for the purpose of helping the bib portion stay in place. The clothing protector can be removed by simply dislodging one of the straps or pulling forward on the bib portion.

Abstract: A wearable garment (30) comprises a front portion (11), a rear portion (20) attached to sections of the front portion, and an aperture (12) formed in the front portion (11). A pouch formed between the two portions (11 and 20) is adapted to contain a receptacle of tissues (13) to be dispensed one at a time through the aperture (12). The garment further comprises a cover (24) positioned over the aperture (12) to protect the tissues from drying when not in use.

Abstract: Certain embodiments provide a variably-sized removable portion integrated into an object. The object may include a surface and a variably-sized removable portion that includes separation edges that define a shape of the variably-sized removable portion. In certain embodiments, each of the separation edges is a different size and is concentrically-aligned with each other. Abstract: A disposable bib having a flexible bib body to cover at least a portion of the user's torso, wherein the bib body has a torso side and an outward side; at least one fastener attached to the bib to attach the bib to the user; an absorbent wipe fixably attached to the outward side of the bib body where the wipe is spread approximately flat and is ready to use; and a releasable cover sealingly attached to the body of the bib on the border that fully covers the wipe; wherein the cover fully encloses and seals the wipe; wherein the cover can be partially or fully removed from the bib body by pulling down, thereby exposing the wipe, and wherein the wipe can be manipulated while attached to the bib body to clean the user.

Abstract: A protective bird apron includes a main body area with a length and a width and a pair of opposing lateral sections attached to the main body area at corresponding opposing edges thereof, each lateral section having a length less than the length of the main body area and a width dimensioned to extend beneath respective wings of the bird. At least one securing strap is coupled to an upper portion of the main body area and to an upper portion of at least one of the lateral sections, the main body area, the at least one of the lateral sections, and the at least one securing strap defining at least one shoulder securing area. A shoulder protector is coupled to the main body area of the back covering, disposed to protect shoulders of the bird while leaving the wings of the bird substantially unrestricted in wing-flapping movement, and has a width substantially the same or greater than an overall width of the back covering. Visible warning indicia are provided on the back covering and/or the shoulder protector.
