Abstract: A grooming system, a grooming debris collection system, a grooming debris disposal system, a portable hair trimming catcher system, and methods of use are presented. The present disclosure relates generally to a grooming system for providing ease in cleaning, efficiency in grooming and debris collection, efficiency in disposal of grooming debris, and the like. More specifically, and without limitation, the disclosure provides a portable hair trimming catching device which prevents debris from falling onto the floor or other appliances and surface. The present system utilizes and moves with the user and requires no additional supports or set up such as a door or wall. In this way, the system provides for ease in set up and storage in a freestanding system. Furthermore, the system also includes a disposal system for further ease in cleaning. The present system also stows for ease in storage and for use in travel.

Abstract: An improved syndesmosis reduction device has a wrap of elastic material extending a length L from a first end to a second end with an open window or slot positioned in an intermediate portion of the wrap spaced from the ends. The wrap is configured to achieve a reduction of an injured ankle and is facilitated by the elastic nature of the ankle wrap. The reduction is facilitated by circumferentially wrapping the wrap from a leg to a foot or vice versa in a compressive fashion by securing the first end by wrapping and stretching the wrap to the second end. The window or slot is to permit an incision at the ankle for hardware placement without the need to remove the wrap and without loss of the reduction achieved.

Abstract: Implementations described and claimed herein provide systems and methods for supporting a pet along trapezii and behind a neck of a user. In one implementation, a core assembly of a bolster has a middle section disposed between a first end section and a second end section, and the middle section positionable behind the neck of the user. An elongated body of the core assembly is positionable along the trapezii of the user in a horizontal orientation. The elongated body extends continuously from the first end to the second end. A padded body of the core assembly extends about the elongated body. A cover is engaged to the core assembly. A securing assembly has a first strap connected to the first end section and a second strap connected to the second end section. The core assembly is releasably securable to the user in the horizontal orientation using the securing assembly.

Abstract: An improved syndesmosis reduction device has a wrap of elastic material extending a length L from a first end to a second end with an open window or slot positioned in an intermediate portion of the wrap spaced from the ends. The wrap causes a reduction of an injured ankle and is facilitated by the elastic nature of the wrap. The reduction is facilitated by circumferentially wrapping the wrap from a leg to a foot or vice versa in a compressive fashion by securing the first end by wrapping and stretching the wrap to the second end. The window or slot is to permit an incision at the ankle for hardware placement without the need to remove the wrap and without loss of the reduction achieved.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus relate to a debris catcher extending substantially in a plane from an integrated skirt toward a front lip that extends upward out of the plane less than a lateral lip extends upwards out of the plane. In an exemplary embodiment, a collar may be attachable to a debris catcher to provide a soft contact. In various embodiments, at least one perimeter rib may be embedded in the debris catcher to provide a rigid and stable flat portion. In some implementations, at least one partition rib may be arranged on the debris catcher to provide separated areas. In various embodiments, the debris catcher may not only keep debris retained on the debris catcher but also may enable the debris catcher to be pulled under a table.

Abstract: A garment includes a panel of material having an outer edge and a main opening. A slit is formed (e.g., cut) in the panel of material. An open end of the slit interfaces to the main opening and a closed end of the slit ends between the main opening and the outer edge of the panel. The slit is configured to be tied where the slit meets the main opening to adjust a size of the main opening so that the garment is wearable in various configurations including being warn as a poncho or a cape.

Abstract: A surgical drape is provided that has a drape body that has an upper surface and an oppositely disposed lower surface. The drape body has a forward edge and an oppositely disposed rearward edge. The drape body has a centerline that extends from the forward edge to the rearward edge. A guardrail is located at the upper surface of the drape body.

Abstract: Wearable systems and associated methods for treatment of a neurocognitive impairment, disease or disorder in patients including a wearable visual field occluder; an attachment system configured for releasably attaching the wearable visual field occluder to th patient during treatment such that, when attached to the patient, the visual field occluder blocks visual feedback of an arm movement of the patient; and an eyewear having at least one lens comprising a prism, wherein the eyewear is configured to be worn by the patient separate and unsupported by the wearable visual field occluder.

Abstract: A bath cover for comforting a child during a bathing process is disclosed. The bath cover includes a body portion at least partially formed of an absorbent material and configured to cover at least a portion of the torso of the child. The body portion has an upper end with a contour corresponding to the neck of the child. The bath cover also includes first and second support portions extending outwardly at the upper end of the body and positionable over the shoulders of the child. The relatively absorbent material is configured to be wetted and positioned adjacent to the child to warm the child during the bathing process.

Abstract: The hair treatment cape is a protective garment. The hair treatment cape is a cloak that is donned during hairdressing activities. Specifically, the hair treatment cape is worn during chemical treatments such a permanents and hair dyeing. The hair treatment cape comprises a cape, an overlay, and a collar. The overlay attaches to the cape. The collar attaches to the overlay. The cape is a sheeting that forms a liquid impermeable barrier that protects the user from participation in inadvertent chemical processes. The overlay rests on top of the cape. The overlay absorbs liquid spilled from chemical treatments before the spilled liquid reaches the cape. The collar: 1) is a diverting structure that routes spilled liquids towards the overlay; and, 2) secures the hair treatment cape to the neck of a user.

Abstract: The present invention provides an exercise accessory which advantageously provides an athlete with a secure and hygienic grip on exercise equipment during training. The exercise accessory includes (a) a moisture absorbent or moisture wicking fabric having opposing ends; and (b) a reinforcing member arrayed along a length of the fabric and coupled to the fabric. The moisture absorbent or moisture wicking fabric is configured to envelop at least a portion of the reinforcing member. The reinforcing member defines one or more loops configured to be operably coupled to an exerciser via an attachment accessory such as a carabiner.

Abstract: A re-useable haircutting collar that is water resistant to dripping liquids and hair particles to protect a user's clothing and skin. The collar is made from flexible silicone or latex of a shore rating of extra soft to soft, skin adherent, non-toxic, and is a ring-shaped sheet, with an inner edge, mid-section, and outer edge, and with two opposing ends that overlap. The ends are tightly self-adhering to each other; therefore, the collars do not require fasteners to secure the ends together, and can be easily adjusted to fit any neck size to form a tight, but comfortable water seal. The collar is also lightweight and bendable to lay about vertically against the base of a user's neck and angled along their collarbone. Different collars embodiments also comprise differences in the thickness along the collar width at the top surface to provide different levels of collar flexibility.

Abstract: A grooming-assisting device that replaceably attaches around the neck of a user, replaceably attaches to a mirror used by the user, and captures facial hair clipped from the user for disposal. The grooming-assisting device includes a substrate, a first attaching apparatus, and a second attaching apparatus. The substrate captures the facial hair clipped from the user for disposal. The first attaching apparatus extends from the substrate, and replaceably attaches the substrate around the neck of the user. The second attaching apparatus extends from the substrate, and replaceably attaches the substrate to the mirror used by the user.

Abstract: A styling cape includes a flexible sheet with outer and inner surfaces, and a plurality of peripheral edges. The styling cape further includes a closure for closing a slit to secure the styling cape about an individual. First and second through-holes are formed in the flexible sheet, and positioned so as to form a triangular pattern in combination with an opening in the flexible sheet that is positioned about an individual's neck, in each of a spread-out configuration and a use configuration of the styling cape. A first sleeve and a second sleeve are attached to the sheet so as to communicate with the first and second through-hole, respectively, and form conduits with the first and second through-holes for passage of the individual's hands through the styling cape.

Abstract: A clip device that allows for easy application of barber capes around a wearer with a reliable connection that facilitates adjustment for a suitable fit is provided. Such a device includes a spring-loaded lift structure that closes around a placed cape portion at any used length with grip means to prevent cape slippage during a haircut operation. The clip itself is configured with a flat back for suitable placement in alignment with the base cape portion and may be removed, if desired, for cleaning or other like actions. As well, the clip includes an extended front including the aforementioned lift structure further including a curved lip to facilitate the disengagement between clip and cape portion on demand, but with a form that is not susceptible to undesired detachment through accidental contact therewith. The clip alone, as well as an incorporating cape, are encompassed within this invention.

Abstract: A method and system for covering from public view a nursing mother's breast and child while breast feeding, the system comprising of a particular arrangement of a decorative cover that fits around the front and neck of a mother and over the baby and includes a device that lifts the cover to provide space for the mother to breast feed the baby while maintaining coverage from public view.

Abstract: A styling cape includes a flexible sheet with outer and inner surfaces, and a plurality of peripheral edges. The styling cape further includes a closure for closing a slit to secure the styling cape about an individual. First and second through-holes are formed in the flexible sheet, and positioned so as to form a triangular pattern in combination with an opening in the flexible sheet that is positioned about an individual's neck, in each of a spread-out configuration and a use configuration of the styling cape. A first sleeve and a second sleeve are attached to the sheet so as to communicate with the first and second through-hole, respectively, and form conduits with the first and second through-holes for passage of the individual's hands through the styling cape.

Abstract: A device that can be worn by a person getting their hair washed and/or cut is described and taught. The device has a cape and a mask that the user can comfortably wear throughout the duration of the washing and cutting process. The device may take many forms but has a transparent mask that attaches to a water proof cape. The mask may also have ear protection and a padded perimeter to provide further comfort for the wearer. In some cases, the ear protection may have integrated speakers for the playing of music or listening to a proximal television. The device further has a trough for collecting excess water or hair. The attachment mechanism employed by the device can vary but will include snaps, hook and loop fasteners, zippers, and the like.

Abstract: A full coverage gown that is used in medical facilities is presented. The gown includes a urine catheter pocket affixed to the gown. The gown also includes a pair of ties affixed to the gown above the urine catheter pocket. The pair of ties is configured to loop and tie around a hook attached to a urine catheter bag to prevent a backflow of urine and to secure the urine catheter bag within the catheter pocket.

Abstract: A hairstylist cape device prevents runoff down a person's shirt. The device includes a flexible panel. An aperture is positioned in the panel between first and second ends and between lateral sides of the panel. A dorsal portion of the panel extends from the aperture to the first end of the panel. A flap is coupled to the panel proximate the aperture wherein the flap extends from the aperture over the dorsal section of the panel. Lateral edges of the flap extend freely away from the panel wherein the flap is configured to extend into a basin inhibiting water from coming out of the basin between the basin and the dorsal section of the panel.

Abstract: A towel that can be converted into a hood is disclosed. The towel can be used as a shoulder cape and as a hood. When being used as a shoulder cape the towel can have a pouch to hold long hair when wet. The towel can also include accessories such as shoulder warmers.

Abstract: The present invention is a warming salon cape with a front planar facing and a rear planar facing, a bias binding, a pouch that is utilized to hold one or more objects, an exterior covering, a label and a plurality of fabric piping. The warming salon cape also includes one or more fasteners, a neck aperture that is formed when the fasteners are releasably engaged securing the warming salon cape around the user, a plurality of sewn threading and a plurality of vents. The present invention also includes a method for using a warming salon cape that includes the steps of asking a client being groomed their ability to self-regulate their body temperature, providing the warming salon cape to the client and having the client wear the warming salon cape.

The cape includes a neck portion adapted to be secured to a neck of the user and a main body portion having opposing front and rear portions extending from the neck portion adapted to cover the user. A translucent window assembly is provided on a front portion of the cape for providing visual access to a user's personal item disposed behind a rear portion of the cape. A vent assembly is provided which is coupled to the translucent window assembly for providing ventilation of air above and below the cape.

Abstract: The present invention is an adjustable magnetic channel closure for a salon cape. The channel closure has a reinforced tab located at or near each of the ends of the channel. Each reinforced tab has a pair of magnetic components that grip the channel when the reinforced tab is bent. The channel closure is tightened by pulling a gripping component located at each end of the channel closure. A cord located at the top of the channel prevents the reinforced tabs and magnetic components from sliding off the channel when the gripping components are pulled.

Abstract: A head-worn liquid shield has a substantially half-circled brim, a tautening edge portion, and a sealing tube that provides an effective sealing means for protecting a user's face, nose, ears and eyes from water, soap, shampoo and other hairdressing materials. The sealing tube is compressible to result in a diameter size automatically adjusted according to the pressure exerted on the sealing tube by the user's head.

Abstract: A neck guard for a salon/barber industry sink, wherein the sink has an indentation in a lip of the sink to accommodate a person's neck. The neck guard includes a lower layer, a cushioning layer and a cover layer. The lower layer is flexible and incorporates fasteners such as suction cups configured to removably attach the lower layer to the sink. The cushioning layer is bonded to the lower layer and has a surface that is suitable for having the cover layer attached to it by means such as a low-tack, pressure-sensitive adhesive. The neck guard is sufficiently flexible to wrap around and conform to the indentation in the lip of the sink and to enable attachment of the fasteners to the sink, thereby securing the neck guard within the indentation in the lip of the sink.

Abstract: A haircutting cape worn by a user that includes a front closure configuration is provided. The front closure configuration provides an unobstructed and seamless interface between the haircutting cape and the back of the user's neck. Moreover, the haircutting cape provides a barrier over substantially all of the user's body, thus effectively protecting the user from cut hair, water, and chemicals that are associated with barber and hair salon services. The haircutting cape includes a collar, a back portion, a first front portion, and a second front portion. The collar secures the haircutting cape to the user's neck, while the back portion covers the back of the user, and the first and second front portions cover the front of the user.

Abstract: A disposable collar protector having an improved structure that allows for rapid and form fitting placement over a wearer's outer collar in surrounding relation with the neck is disclosed. A generally circular, thin sheet of flexible, preferably plastic, structure that includes a notches and cutouts that allow the device to be rapidly deployed into a collar protector while being placed around a person's neck. A radial slit originating at a peripheral edge and leading to a vertex of a generally triangular cutout. Additional slits further form a plurality of generally triangular flaps that may be tucked over the wearer's collar. The peripheral edge further preferably includes opposed peripheral notches that allow the collar protector to drape over the wearer's shoulders. The present invention thus provides an inexpensive and disposable collar protector for use during cosmetology procedures.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a cape useful in the hairstyling arts. The cape includes a pouch that is configured to allow viewing of an object under the cape while preventing hair and other debris from entering the interior of the cape. Abstract: The present invention is an adjustable magnetic channel closure for a salon cape. The channel closure has a reinforced tab located at or near each of the ends of the channel. Each reinforced tab has a pair of magnetic components that grip the channel when the reinforced tab is bent. The channel closure is tightened by pulling a gripping component located at each end of the channel closure. A cord located at the top of the channel prevents the reinforced tabs and magnetic components from sliding off the channel when the gripping components are pulled.

Abstract: An apron for use by dentists and the like is provided with a main body portion and a collar portion for securing the apron to the wearer in which the collar portion is adjustably securable at any position within a predetermined range such that it forms a close fit around the wearer wherein the collar and body portions comprise an absorbent side and a substantially waterproof.

It is also ideal for the elderly, the physically disabled, or others with diminished coordination that may frequently soil their clothes while eating.

Abstract: A protective over-garment is disclosed that can be manufactured entirely by making cuts in a single sheet of plastic or other flexible material. In preferred embodiments it is disposable. The sheet has a neck hole in the center and covers the user's shoulders, upper arms, back, and chest. A cut radiating from the hole allows insertion of the user's head. The rim of the hole is held against the wearer's neck by tying together two strips of material formed by cuts that partially separate them from the sheet. Similar strips can hold the first cut and/or the sides of the garment closed. In preferred embodiments the sheet can be rectangular, hourglass, or double-hourglass in shape, and/or the sheet can be folded to fit in a standard home hair coloring kit. Cuts can be perforated, and the garments can be manufactured as a continuous length of sheets joined at perforated intersections.

Abstract: A protective cape for salon clients of the type which is draped over the torso and fastened around the neck of a client, comprising a flexible sheet having a centrally located hole for encircling the neck, a perimeter, and a slit communicating between the centrally located hole and the perimeter. The front and rear of the cape have greater length than the right and left sides. The cape including a neck portion adapted to be secured to the user at a neck. The cape further including an outer edge spaced from the neck portion to cover the user and extend over the sink, a plurality of holes formed in the cape to adapt to the sink and a connector to hold the cape on the sink. The first attachment device and the second attachment device may be fixed to the first sheet so that the first attachment device can be attached to the second attachment device to connect the first and second portions of the first sheet, so that the first sheet is wrapped around an upper torso area of an individual. An individual can have hair on their head washed or cut while the apparatus is wrapped around the upper torso of the individual.

Abstract: The invention includes a neck and clothing protector, a neck strip and a nail artist sheet and methods of using same that are especially designed for use in the cosmetology industry. Embodiments of the invention may include a rectangular strip of textured, flexible waterproof material of preselected dimensions wherein the body of the material is integral and does not have any scoring or perforations passing through its rectangular surface.

Abstract: Disclosed is a cape adapted to be worn by a person in a beauty salon. The cape comprises a garment and a neck liner. The garment is configured to enclose at least a torso portion of the person. The garment comprises an inner surface and an outer surface opposite to the inner surface.
