Abstract: A jacket type of garment is provided with a storage or back pack secured to and made part of the garment in such a way that the load of the pack is suspended from a pair of shoulder straps carried within the garment. Upper and lower corners of the storage pack are secured to the straps to distribute load forces from the storage pack to the straps and not to be seams of the jacket, and also to prevent lateral shifting of the lower end of the back pack when it is loaded.
Abstract: An accessory holder, for use on an article of clothing such as ski jacket or the like, comprising a flap having one end fixed to one attachment point adjacent the junction of the arm and shoulder of the article of clothing and adapted to fit around the accessory to be held, such as a foldable hat. The other end of the flap is detachably attached to another point of attachment on the shoulder of the article of clothing to hold the accessory, with an intermediate piece provided on the underside of the flap adapted to hold the accessory and also to be attached to said other point of attachment.

Abstract: Garment construction for providing a down-filled jacket. There is provided in kit form for home assembly a jacket construction comprising a plurality of separately constructable panels. Each panel includes inner and outer sheets, said sheets being closed along their respective perimeters to form an envelope, the envelope is filled with down through a gate temporarily left therein, the gate then closed and with the down suitably distributed through the envelope, same is quilted. The independent and separate panels are then stitched together by stitching independent of the stitching by which the edges of the envelopes were closed and the whole is assembled into a finished jacket.
Abstract: In a vest formed of flexible panels that adjust to the contour of the wearer, pocket support and shape stiffening structures are provided so that the pockets may adjustably yet firmly be located or removed and also, when in place, conform to the curved contours of the worn garment panels while providing rigidity of shape, dimension and conformance to body contour.
Abstract: A harness is combined with a fireman's turnout coat or similar protective garment of the type adapted to fit about the torso. A belt is provided which encircles the waist, and includes a D-ring and snap, each on opposite sides of the belt for joining the belt together. Releasable fasteners on the inside of the coat allow the belt to be releasably attached thereto. A groin strap is carried by the belt and is adapted to extend between the legs of the wearer so that a snap on the free end thereof may be joined to the D-ring during use. An additional fastener on the inside of the coat allows the strap to be held in a stored position against the inside of the coat when not in use.
