Abstract: Apparatus and methods are described, including apparatus that includes a male-connector body comprising at least one mating surface, and shaped to define a hollow core. A plurality of electrically-conductive male-connector terminals are coupled to the mating surface of the male-connector body. A longitudinal insert is configured to, by moving inside the hollow core, push the male-connector terminals radially outward. Other embodiments are also described.

Abstract: A door switch includes a casing, a cam, the cam being caused to operate by manipulation of a manipulation key, and a detection unit for detecting an operating state of the cam. The casing houses at least a part of the cam and the detection unit. The cam is configured to be caused to operated by insert manipulation of inserting the manipulation key into the casing when the manipulation key has a shape adapted to a shape of the cam, and not to be caused to operate by the insert manipulation when the manipulation key does not have a shape adapted to the shape of the cam. The door switch can be adapted to Category 2 of ISO 13849-1.
Abstract: A safety switch that includes a housing, a first switch, and a second switch. The switch has a two part rod that is axially moveable within the housing. The parts of the rod are co-operable with respect to one another and independently operable to activate one of the first and second switches. A biasing element is arranged to bias the rod parts into contact with a cam arrangement and arranged to bias the rod parts out of engagement with one of the respective switches. The cam arrangement is configured such that rotation of the cam arrangement will move the rod parts thereby activating the switches to allow the safety switch to conduct electricity.
Abstract: A switching device selectively connects a number of incoming electrical lines with a number of outgoing electrical lines. The incoming and outgoing lines are each connected to individual contact surfaces, respectively. The contact surfaces are arranged in concentric ring-shaped areas. A maneuvering unit is arranged in the center of the ring-shaped areas. A driver rotates the maneuvering unit. A number of contact elements are positioned by the maneuvering unit, to obtain electrical contact between specific, contact surfaces.
